A disciplina de desenho técnico na formação do técnico em Meio Ambiente do IFAL: uma abordagem sobre a integração curricular

The environmental technical high school course at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL), in the campi of the Penedo and Marechal Deodoro, has the subject of Technical Drawing in its curriculum whose goal is the domain, identification, development, reading and interpretation of common elements and geometric tracings necessary for the language and graphic representation of technical drawings. With a single syllabus for practically all courses and campi, and disjointed from other curricular components, especially those from professional training, Technical Drawing does not attend to curricular integration. Its contents are taught isolated and not directly related to other subjects. In this sense, a survey was conducted with other teachers with the aim of investigating subjects that are related to Techinical Drawing, and evaluate the contents that can be adapted to integrate the curricular components of these subjcts to optimize the teaching-learning process. There was a need to develop an Educational Product, in the form of teaching material that make it possible to accomplish the necessary curricular adaptations and also help teachers to teach the appropriate content, linking it to technical areas. This material intends to incorporate pedagogical practices that meet the specifics needs of the course, contributing to the comprehensive training of students

This article was motivated by a carried out research based on the use of dramatization as a methodological strategy in the teaching-learning process on Hotel Technology Superior Course of the Federal Institute of Alagoas – Campus Maceió, from exercises where students are stimulated to experience and improvise situations involving direct hotel customer service. It presents results that were obtained based on students’ perceptions and the observations made during such dramatizations, wich generated the research, whose objective was to understand how classroom dramatization can stimulate the development of skills and competences necessary for the IFAL's Hotel Technology Superior Course students to perform their professional activity. The action research methodology was applied, using reports of students who participated in the dramatic exercises and the observation in the classroom as data collection method. The students surveyed reported that through dramatization they were able to “experience experiences in advance”, “improve learning and fix contents”, “facilitate the relationship between students and between students and teachers”, “overcome shyness”, “stimulate creativity and improvisation”, “contribute to the performance and insertion of students who are in the professional market”, among other benefits. Therefore, based on the students' perceptions and based on the theoretical studies, it can be concluded that classroom dramatization works as an inducer for the construction of skills required by the hotel professional, and it should be done more frequently and in a more systematized way.
A formação profissionalizante em contexto quilombola: entre o desenvolvimento local e a formação para a vida

The research in question analyzes the potential of the Novos Caminhos program, which promotes initial and continuing training courses for professional qualification, via Federal Institutes of Education. The research space will be the Quilombola Tabuleiro dos Negros community, located in Penedo-Alagoas, which for us is a social space, where individual agents are found who can develop their social, cultural and economic activities, through the promotion of courses in training that improve their practices and also enable innovation in relation to what they already practice. The theoretical method is based on the implicit idea of cultural capital by formal education and the methodology for collecting data in the field (safety protocols and data use authorization) is the focus group, made with young people from the community. Data processing will be via content analysis and the means of intervention, in the case of an action research, the conclusion will be in the formation of a course catalog, together with an analysis of their applicability and importance.

Upon the suspension of the in-person time schedule, which occurred due to the health crisis brought about by the new coronavirus pandemic, it was necessary to think, in a short period of time, of working methods to continue the classes online. As of this need, we identified that deaf students at the Federal Institute of Alagoas - IFAL faced difficulties regarding the usability of the G Suite for Education environment, thus reflecting on their learning. Started the first debates on the feasibility of making a booklet that visually demonstrated a step-by-step that would help these students learn the needs that the G Suite for Education environment required, so that they could attend classes and carry out activities that the professors will spend during the period of health crisis brought about by the new coronavirus pandemic. The preparation of the booklet allows deaf students at IFAL to have access to material that will help them in the conduct and usability of the virtual environment that was adopted in the pandemic period, so that this has positive effects on learning and, above all, on accessibility for the access and use of technological tools today, a fact accentuated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This Final Course Completion Work presents a proposal for a pedagogical intervention to be applied through the application of environmental education actions with students of the technical education of the Environment course. The implementation of the proposal aims to provide students with greater awareness with a view to acting more consciously in the face of environmental problems. Putting into practice the knowledge learned here is fundamental for growing professional and personal development, as they will be able to give new meaning to the importance of respect and environmental conservation. Adhering to respect and care for the environment is fundamental, and with this proposal it is expected that there will be a change in habits aimed at a personal and family reduction in the production of “waste”, as well as the development of a mindset focused on recycling waste and promoting environmental sustainability.

Technologies have been incorporated into face-to-face and distance education with the aim of enriching the teaching-learning process. Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) can be defined as a digital educational software intended to support educational activities. The idea is that these environments create new learning possibilities for the student in view of technological changes that have been taking place in society. The research’s general objective is to provide a virtual environment with references to support learning for in electrical engineering students, with the creation of the Virtual Environment for Technological Learning, AVATEC. The performance of the environment was evaluated, as well as the relevance of its use as an ally to professional and technological education.

This study aims to understand the contribution of Exact Sciences disciplines in the training process of technical courses in Administração in a private institution of professional and technological education, in 2023. In this sense, it defends the meaningful learning in Moreira (2016) valuing the interaction between prior knowledge and new knowledge, and Ausubel (2003) who values knowledge constructed from known situations, that is, the students' experiences. These teaching-learning processes must be understood as driving forces of personal and professional lives, eclipsing, like Mathematics Education, supporting adequate management of personal and professional finances using qualitative-quantitative research to understand the consequences of teaching- learning in their technical training in Administração, based on the precepts of Chiavenato (2006).

Pedagogical practices combined with experiences over the years are of paramount importance for learning. Thus, the general objective sought to analyze how the teachers of vocational and technological training at the IFAL Satuba campus, of the subsequent course in Agriculture, seek to promote pedagogical practices regarding the humanization of their students regarding the development of society in a sustainable way. And the specific objectives, to identify how teachers assimilate information from students about the world and sustainability; to know if there is an interest of the students in participating in projects that aim at the valorization, preservation and/or ecological recovery; to point out how these pedagogical practices are implemented and if there is a growing number of EE projects in the Vocational Technical Course and to provide a booklet and lesson plan based on the importance of EE to students of vocational technical education. The methodology applied to the research was the qualitative approach through action research, applying a questionnaire to five professors. The results obtained showed: 20% of teachers have been working for 10 years, 40% for 25 years, 20% for 30 years and 20% for 8 and a half years; aged between 36 and 61 years, being 20% women and 80% men, totaling 60% masters and 40% doctors. Finally, the professors seek to promote pedagogical practices regarding the humanization of their students regarding the development of society in a sustainable way, it is mentioned here, the recognition of the need to be inserted in the curriculum a discipline of environmental management and sustainability.

The present work aims to study and analyze the practical experience and living within the context of the Technical Administration Course, with a focus on vocational education. This research is characterized as an analysis of the problem situation, a bibliographic study, and a proposal for educational intervention through the guidance of measures to level students and reduce school dropout. The results reveal the importance of integrating theory and practice for the development of professional competencies, as well as the positive impact of practical experience on students' formation. The research also highlights the challenges faced by students and instructors in the process of practical learning and provides suggestions to enhance this dimension of the Technical Administration course. Theoretical and methodological support was provided by scholars such as Mattos and Lemos (2022), Chiavatta (2012), Maldaner (2017), and Rose (2006). This study contributes to a deeper understanding of vocational education, technical training, and the challenges faced by instructors in their classrooms, offering valuable insights for educators, educational managers, and students. As results, curriculum improvement, student monitoring, and the continuous adaptation of technical education programs stand out, preparing students for a dynamic and challenging job market.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought the need for social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus on a global scale. In Brazil, restrictive measures were taken in several areas, with education being the focus of this study. Emergency remote teaching emerged as an alternative for the continuity of on-site education, aiming to reduce the recurrent losses of in-person stoppages. With the need for equipment and internet access for remote teaching, the country's inequality of access became evident. This research aims to analyze the impact of emergency remote teaching in the Covid-19 pandemic, for students and teachers, and the aspects that guide this occurrence, mainly in technological difficulties. For this, the state of the art on the subject was raised to support discussions and applied questionnaires, without collecting personal data, for students and teachers in order to transform the results into percentage graphs.
As condições de acesso e permanência dos alunos de cotas raciais no Instituto Federal de Alagoas

This article analyzes the affirmative action policies claimed by black movements in the fight against racism and social inequalities in the 1990s and how this resulted in the drafting, in 2012, of law 12.711, sanctioned by then President Dilma and approved by the national congress (the so-called racial quotas law). This directly connects us to the conditions of access within the Federal Institute of Alagoas, through the places reserved for declaring students from Afro-descendant groups and also the initiatives of one of the work sectors of this institution, which allows conditions of permanence, namely: o student assistance sector. We also bring to the debate, at a historical level, the reflections of authors such as Garcia (2000), Almeida (2019), Kuenzer (2000), Kuenzer; Grabowski (2006) and Pierre Bourdieu (2009), among others, which will be used in order to understand how professional training has progressed, and how it has been focused, since its inception, on the formation of the so-called working class and can, in together with affirmative action policies, establish itself as a public educational institution, which not only inserts people into its training frameworks, but ensures their permanence with quality.

In this article, a study is carried out on how the use of information and communication technologies (ICT's) can impact teaching practices and how important these technologies are, which even proved to be a practical way to continue the process of teaching and learning, respecting the requirements of health authorities to maintain social isolation. In this scenario, an analysis is made of how digital platforms and different technological resources can contribute to the teaching of Chemistry, in the context of integrated secondary education. And for that, a lesson plan on the topic is proposed: Periodic Table, using the digital platform Google Classroom and its online dating tool, Google Meet, and other technological resources such as Padlet and applications.

The aim of this research was to verify whether there is an association between the use of smartphones and the quality of the sleep pattern of university professors. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, conducted with 79 professors from a public university in Alagoas. Data collection was performed through a form containing (1) Sociodemographic data; (2) Smartphone Dependency Test; (3) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Questionnaire. The analysis was made through BioEstat. Most of the interviewees were female (75.9%) and were ≥50 years old (35.4%). There was an association between sleep pattern and dependence on cell phone use. The factors associated with sleep quality and smartphone dependence deserve attention, considering that they are directly or indirectly related to health problems.

The purpose of this article is to contribute to the dissemination of Law 11.645/2008 at the Federal Institute of Alagoas - IFAL, through the work of NEABI - Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies. To this end, a pedagogical intervention proposal was created to disseminate the actions of NEABI, for Teaching, Research and Extension, with an emphasis on integrated high school, in this sense it is questioned how to deconstruct a historical process, which persists from the colonial period until today, how to combat anti-racist, prejudiced and discriminatory practices for an egalitarian society. For reflection, research on the subject, seminars and discussions will be proposed. From a methodological point of view, it involves bibliographical research, in articles, books and others. It is hoped that the proposal will make a significant contribution to the real purpose of Law 11.645/2008.

This article aims to present a teaching experience of conducting laboratory class demonstrations in the form of videos. The motivation for developing this work is to provide simultaneous access to experimental classes for students in the Electrotechnics Technical Course at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Alagoas (IFAL), Maceió Campus. Since laboratory equipment is available in limited quantities, conducting experimental classes with more than four students per class period is unfeasible. The students participated in an experimental technical class on energy measurement based on a video produced and directed by the Electricity professor and a student. The video script was designed to objectively demonstrate how to assemble an electrical circuit from the diagram, how to connect the equipment and measuring instruments, and how to obtain results. The video was presented by the student, and this initiative aims to demonstrate to the audience that it is possible to perform an experimental setup with prior knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes. Learning verification was conducted through a discussion with the audience and mediated by the professor. Students were invited to discuss questions aimed at assessing the learning effectiveness of the experimental video class. The collected data were analyzed and presented in this article using the Action Research Methodology. The success of this pedagogical proposal is expected to encourage technical course instructors to add more experimental classes to their curricula and familiarize students with the real-world applications of theory.

The present work aims at the proportions of indicators evaluated for Emergency Remote Teaching in the Integrated Teaching of Youth and Adult Education in the Accommodation course on the Marechal Deodoro campus of the Federal Institute of Alagoas (Ifal), a modality implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As mandatory, Ifal's institutional rules on the ERE with a focus on the Integrated Course on Youth and Adult Education. In addition, it was a matter of providing subsidies for thinking about new indicators for evaluating the ERE. The work methodology is qualitative. Bibliographic research and studies were carried out on the experiences lived during this pandemic period on the Campus of Marechal Deodoro. However, this work does not illustrate the use of research with the educational community, as the result is drawn from experience-based experience. The result of the study has assorted dimensions and indicators with a degree of favoring education actors in the decisions to be addressed in the process of improving the ERE and the quality of teaching-learning

This study aims to explore the challenges and benefits of using the generative AI ChatGPT by instructors of courses at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL), which includes the 4.0 Spaces, COLAB and IFMakers. To achieve this goal, a quantitative and qualitative research was conducted using a questionnaire on Google Forms that was applied to instructors at IFAL's innovative spaces. The questionnaire covers the participants characteristics, use, opinions, and perceptions of the AI tool in education. The results were presented in a graphical format and revealed insights into teachers' perceptions of OPEN AI's generative AI, its potential use in the classroom, and ethical and learning concerns. Additionally, the study demonstrated how to identify the use of AI to build a text by citing some existing examples and others that can be implemented.
"Como não deixar ninguém para trás?": práticas pedagógicas inclusivas no ensino médio integrado

The present work deals with inclusive pedagogical practices implemented in Sociology classes in the 2nd years of the Integrated High School Courses on Housing and Agroecology at the Federal Institute of Alagoas – Campus Maragogi. The intervention was carried out between May and June 2023 and its objective involved the application of pedagogical strategies that met the needs of students supported by the Nucleus for Assistance to People with Specific Needs (NAPNE). The adaptations and strategies used were small, supported by the elaboration and choice of pedagogical materials and the possibility for students to choose the options for delivering the activities. I conclude that the teaching strategies applied in the intervention were inclusive, but without being discriminatory and that inclusion begins when the teacher plans the lessons and the evaluation is end of the process.

It is known that education and health are indispensable fields for the existence of human beings, in addition to being correlated, since education supports a healthy life. The objective of this work was to report the construction of pedagogical resources for oral health education with a group of students from the technical course in oral health, as well as clarify the importance of using recreational resources during health education activities. The pedagogical intervention was the method used in the construction of this work, therefore, a bibliographical research was carried out with the guiding question: What evidence is available on the use of pedagogical resources in oral health education activities? In addition, for the development of the theoretical framework, the following databases were used: PUBMED, LILACS, and SCIELO, with standardized descriptors: Health Education; Collective Health; Pedagogical Games; Pedagogical Intervention and its correspondents in English. In all combinations, the Boolean And operator was used. It was observed that it is essential that health education actions are conducted through playful means that broaden thoughts, behaviors and bring listeners closer to the guidelines that will be discussed. Thus, the importance of technical professionals in oral health is evident in strengthening the complementarity and continuity of collective actions, reinforcing the commitment to the population's health, the bond with the community and participation in intersectoral actions.

This study aims to highlight students' points of view in relation to the challenges during the period of implementation of remote teaching. To this end, a questionnaire was applied on Google Form with students from two private colleges (A and B, being A in Arapiraca and B in Maceió in the state of Alagoas) in 2021, who were, or are still following emergency remote classes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The students surveyed are from the Nutrition courses at Faculty A and Medicine at Faculty B whose processes of professionalization of teachers are not, a priori, substantiated by a socio-educational interface focused on the exercise of teaching, which demonstrates the need to reflect and suggest actions education to the technical training of professionals in the context of remote education. As a conclusion, a pamphlet was prepared and distributed in the field together with the participating students to guide institutions, teachers and students to walk together, towards improving the use of remote classes, with the objective of collaborative and meaningful learning.
