Item Modelo para predição de indicadores de continuidade em um sistema de distribuição de energia elétrica, uma aplicação à gestão de manutenção com a perspectiva do uso da termografia(2016) Araújo Junior, José Arnóbio de; Magalhães, Robson da Silva; Esquerre, Karla Patrícia Santos Oliveira Rodriguez; Bandeira, Anselmo Alves; Silva, Magno José Gomes daThe Electrical power distribution system (SDEE) of most of the Northeast region concessionaires are old and present different kinds of problems. In an indirect way, these problems can be verified through the collective indicators of continuity, provided by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL). These indicators include the Interruption Equivalent Duration per Consumer Unit (DEC) and the Interruption Equivalent Frequency per Consumer Unit (FEC). In order to improve these indicators, this study proposes a methodology to be applied in the analysis of the history of occurrences (interruptions in power supply) registered in an electricity distribution concessionaire, from January 2013 to December 2014. The methodology proposed here is based on the construction of a model that establishes the DEC and FEC indicators. Once the proposed model is constructed, considering the period of operation of the SDEE to be analyzed, we intend to set the values of DEC and FEC, according to the observed and recorded occurrences for this system. The prior knowledge of DEC and FEC indicators allows the maintenance management, making it possible to measure the influence of the main failure modes on the composition of these indicators. As a basis for the elaboration of the analysis methodology and that of the model, we carried out a research, together with an energy distribution concessionaire, which will be denominated, in this work, as concessionaire A. This research involves a survey of the occurrences of failures (with interruption) within a group of consumers. Data was collected monthly, from January 2013 to December 2014. From these data, a model structure based on Multiple Linear Regression Analysis (ARLM) was constructed. There is, on the part of concessionaire A, the intention to develop maintenance actions that apply thermographic techniques. These techniques allow the thermal gradient mapping of a given energized device, distinguishing different temperatures by means of infrared radiation. For this purpose, the concessionaire A has invested on equipment and personnel training. This study proposes the application of the model which was built, based on ARLM, as a support tool to evaluate the influence of failure modes on the composition of continuity indicators (DEC and FEC). The failure modes of greatest interest are those that are likely to be detected by thermography. The prior knowledge of the influence of failure modes on the composition of these indicators will enable a decision making, aiming at the execution of maintenance actions, allowing the concessionaire to perform a direct action on the feeder and on the most influential modes of failure, especially on those that can be detected by thermography.Item Análise do discurso do operador e seu instrumento de comunicação entre turnos como ferramenta para o sistema de gestão(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2016-06-06) Drigo, Edmara dos Santos; Oliveira, Cristiano Lessa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1436093029977246; Ávila Filho, Salvador; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5006-1501; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8080668192694401; Marques, Sheyla Karolina Justino; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7554-2275; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3917387578549073; Costa, Israel Crescencio da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7663274879776157; Esquerre, Karla Patricia Santos Oliveira Rodríguez; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8799-7365; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1956096628005272; Fleming, Paulo Victor; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1313976268089270Communication in organizations is still a difficult obstacle to be transposed. Effective instruments for transmission of information and the advent of technologies still need to rely on motivational and highly subjective factors that will make a man in his job routine report abnormalities or shut. Considering the operator discourse as a valuable tool for abnormalities display operational plan and support for decision-making in the management field, this dissertation aimed to analyze the communication between operators and shifts in a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in the Northeast of Brazil. Problems in the information flow can result in operational failures in this case represent a risk to public health. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of records of operators and their communication tool show weaknesses in the shift book format used in WTP in question. The analysis of the text written by the operators based on analytical categories of Critical Discourse Analysis suggests the existence of conflicts that affect the organizational climate. We proposed a model instrument for communication in turn in checklist format to replace the typical procedure in narrative style. Although the focus of this work is the written speech, the operator’s speech in all its forms, can contribute significantly to the management system, but this management style should consider issues relating to human reliability and be willing to make procedure and structural changes.Item Modelagem e Simulação de Indicadores de Continuidade: Ferramenta Auxiliar para a Manutenção em Redes de Distribuição de Energia Elétrica(2017) Magalhães, Emerson Felipe Araujo; Costa Filho, Marcus Vinícius Americano da; Magalhães, Robson da Silva; Pontes, Karen Valverde; Ávila Filho, Salvador; Oliveira, Tiago Cordeiro deThe reliability of the electricity distribution systems is associated with the many investments that are implemented, specifically when the design of new projects and during the programming of maintenance activities. The Brazilian electric sector has been experiencing countless problems over time, with the greatest of these problems related to the constant failures in the distribution system. Occurrences of these failures influence the composition of the continuity indicators of Equivalent Duration of Unit Interruption Consumer (DEC), and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption of Unit Interruption Consumer (FEC); which are established by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), for each concessionaire, and if they are not fulfilled, the concessionaires will be subject to fines. This work proposes the development of models, using Multiple Linear Regression techniques (MLR) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), which predict the values of these continuity indicators, aiming to assist the concessionaire in carrying out a more efficient planning for performing maintenance tasks. As an object of study, a collection of consumers was used from a concessionaire in the Northeast region. From the modes of failures occurring in the circuits that feed this set of consumers, the causes and frequencies of interruption in the electricity supply are analyzed, and how much these contribute to the increase in the values of DEC and FEC. Through the application of the developed models, you can evaluate the influence of certain modes of failures on DEC and FEC, prioritizing maintenance tasks in the equipment that contribute to the composition of these indicators. It is demonstrated that the knowledge of the influence of the modes of failures on the DEC and FEC indicators allows a proper decision-making on the implementation of maintenance actions, enabling the concessionaire to perform an efficient operation on those modes of flaws that are more and contributing to the operational stability and reliability of the entire electrical system.Item Um modelo para avaliação da qualidade de vida no trabalho em instituição de ensino pública(2017) Cavalcante, Roberto Medeiros da Fonsêca; Rocha, André Leite; Pontes, Karen Valverde; Fernandes, Ana Paula Lima Marques; Gonçalves Filho, Anastácio Pinto; Barbosa, Ava SantanaIn modern institutions, efforts and investments in Quality of Work Life (QWL) have become essential for increasing productivity and quality of services provided. However, what is noticeable is that the QWL is a topic still little explored in practice by public sector organizations. Thus, the present dissertation presents an original QWL assessment instrument with the application in a Federal Public Education Institution. The instrument proposed in this study combines the main aspects of QWL present in the literature to a perspective oriented towards a public organizational approach, producing a model that translates the subjectivity of satisfaction with the Quality of Work Life into a quantitative scale, revealing itself as an instrument organizational of great potential mainly for public institutions. The research resulted in a model composed of nine dimensions, with a total of 57 questions. The instrument was applied with 66 workers from the Campus Satuba of the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL) and the reliability of the model was confirmed using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient, which presented α = 0.956, showing internal consistency considered very high. The general index of QWL obtained was 4.88, considered moderate in relation to the five possible levels established (satisfactory, moderate, neutral, precarious and risk). Of the nine dimensions of the model, one presented satisfactory QWL (Work and Social Life, 5.90); five presented moderate QWL (Labor Aspects, 4.92, Social Integration and Psychological Conditions, 5.18, Socioprofessional Relationships, 4.77, Working Conditions, 5.31 and Social Relevance of Work, 5.44); and three presented neutral QWL (Salary Analysis, 4.23, Career Opportunities, 4.22 and Organizational Approach, 3.98). In addition, it was found that the level of Schooling interferes directly in the QWL perceived by the institution's workers. Therefore, the study results in an effective alternative for the evaluation and development of QWL programs in similar public institutions, enabling them to respond effectively to the demands of society, seeking the welfare of public servants and thereby the satisfaction of citizens in general.Item Alocação adequada do quadro geral de baixa tensão através da busca pelo caminho mais curto(2018) Abreu, Jacksiel José de; Cavalcante, Carlos Arthur Mattos Teixeira; Cavalcante, Carlos Arthur Mattos Teixeira; Sant’Anna, Ângelo Márcio Oliveira; Claudino, Elder de SouzaThe allocation of the low voltage electrical power general distribution board at buildings is determined by technical, normative and economical parameters. A properly allocation of the low voltage main board reduces the wiring lengths of the feeders and distribution circuits designed for the installations, and, consequently, reduces the deployment costs as well the operative costs (power consumption) related to power dissipation (Joule heating). This work aims to develop and apply an optimization model for the optimal location determination of the low voltage main board at houses, flats, commercial buildings and small industries. To solve this problem, it has been adopted a network optimization model to determine the shortest route to pass the conductors, in which results in costs reduction. For validation of the proposed solution, it was performed a case study, where, taking real parameters, the definition of an optimization technique executed in Excel Solver, has indicated a point considered as the optimal location of the low voltage main board. Then, the obtained results were compared to location returned by load center, method traditionally used. From this comparison, it was verified the efficiency of the suggested method assuring a reliable and economical decision making.Item Sedentarismo em adolescentes escolares: uma revisão sistemática com metanálise(CENTRO DE ESTUDOS SUPERIORES DE MACEIÓ - CESMAC, 2020-03-23) Araújo, José Roberto Alves; Menezes, Pedro de Lemos; Menezes, Pedro de Lemos; Mousinho, Kristiana Cerqueira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6421689397117778; Carnaúba, Aline Tenório LinsIn recent years, there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of sedentarism among adolescents (12-18 years), reaching, in some cases, epidemic proportions. The Fitnessgram testicle battery has been validated and used on millions of children, both in the United States, as well as in other parts of the world. The battery compared the health indicators related to health. The objective of the present systemic analysis was to analyze the efficiency of the program of physical exercises in use of schoolchildren, using the Body Mass Index - BMI to evaluate the performance of the Program. This is a systematic review with meta-analysis of clinical data, with search in the databases: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Open Gray, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scielo. This meta-analysis was performed with 2,146 database fundamentals and 195 abstracts were read. After reading the abstracts, 34 texts were completed for reading in full. Four papers were selected for a meta-analysis. Observations on the topic 1.15 (95% CI between -1.20 and 3.50) for the differentiation between the initial and final BMI of the control and intervention groups. The test for the overall effect obtained p <0.34, revealing that the selection was not significant. I² heterogeneity was 96%, high high. It is concluded that a measure of the difference between the indicators of the initial and final BMI of the control and intervention groups that the battery of testicles of the FITTYGRAN program does not guarantee the hypothesis of fighting alone the sedentary lifestyle.Item Permanência e êxito no ensino médio integrado: um estudo de caso no Instituto Federal de Alagoas(2021) Costa, Ana Maria Leal; Palhares, José Augusto Branco; Silva, Manuel Aniónio Ferreira da; Palhares, José Augusto Branco; Nova, Maria Jose Manso Casa; Loureiro, Armando Paulo FerreiraThe permanency and success of young people in high school have been the source of studies by several authors. In the same sense, public policies are adopted in an attempt to reduce dropout and abandonment, which are common in the academic path. The present work aims to know and relate the relevant factors regarding the permanence and success of students in integrated high school courses at the Instituto Federal de Alagoas (IFAL), Maceió Campus, through the sociological characterization of their social and educational pathways. Following the qualitative methodology and analytical method of case study, we seek to investigate which factors provide the permanence and school success and what is in common among the students of the last years that supports achieving academic success. To investigate which relationships exist between the investigated factors and success in studies, as well as to know what leads students with a low socioeconomic level to be resilient when faced with adversities in the student environment were the strands of this research. It is worth mentioning that the pandemic caused by the covid-19 resulted in limitations in the course of the research application, being necessary to make some adjustments due to the sanitary conditions implemented worldwide. In order to understand the studied phenomenon, lives were performed, people's speeches were recorded, data to support the study were researched in documents generated by the institution, preliminary conversations with the pedagogical team were held, and online meetings were held. The results reveal evidence in the relationship between the cultural capital of families and academic performance, and point to signs of the influence of school interaction in the permanence of students in IFAL. However, the product of this research also reveals the need to modify strategies and methodologies regarding the teaching and structuring of courses, leading to the suggestion to direct educational policies that favor increasing the income of students' families, such as expanding the granting of scholarships. Such actions may increase the possibility of a larger number of students with a successful experience in the institutionItem Percursos estudantis de mobilidade acadêmica internacional: um estudo exploratório sobre experiências dos estudantes do Instituto Federal de Alagoas(2021) Andrade, Carla Cristina Real Vieira de; Palhares, José Augusto; Silva, Manuel António Ferreira da; Palhares, José Augusto Branco; LOUREIRO, ARMANDO PAULO FERREIRAThis dissertation aims to analyze the student pathways of international academic mobility of seven students at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (Ifal) evidencing their experiences abroad, in order to verify the acquisition of a symbolic capital, the cultural/knowledge capital. The internationalization process is increasingly evident in higher education. In the Federal Institutes, although much has been advanced, it is a gap that lacks work to strengthen and expand teaching, research, extension and innovation activities that go beyond geographic and linguistic borders, through different ways of internationalizing. Given the context of globalization, it is necessary to understand the challenges that permeate this process through public policies that enable relationship initiatives with foreign institutions, increasing visibility and competitiveness in the field of vocational, technological, public and quality education. Thus, in analyzing the trajectory of these students, it is intended to understand the desire to study abroad, the challenges faced before, during and after the trip. In addition, realize the personal, vocational and academic gains that these students bring when they return to the country. When it comes to an international academic mobility deliberated by the educational institution, it is necessary to take into account the sharing of experiences brought by students so that the benefits are not only personal, but institutional, favoring everyone who makes up Ifal. The methodology of this work uses the case study method, with a qualitative approach in an exploratory research carried out through the interview technique with semi-structured questions. The analysis of the collected data is structured in five dimensions, namely: Welcoming/cultural adaptation, Teaching, Mobility's negative points, Mobility's positive points and Global Citizenship. These dimensions, achieved through the interviewees' answers, made it possible to respond to the objectives of this dissertation, identifying the reasons why students want to undertake international academic mobility, despite the various difficulties faced, with a view to exchanging experiences and knowledge about the globalization of labor market, as well as the expansion of the capacity to understand cultural diversity.Item Epidemiologia do suicídio na região metropolitana de Maceió: fatores associados, análise temporal e espacial(2021) Silva, Alessandra Vieira da; Brum, Evanisa Helena Maio de; Barbosa, Kevan Guilherme Nóbrega; Trindade Filho, Euclides Marinho; Verçoza, Lúcio Vasconcellos de; Nóbrega, Diego Figueiredo; Mousinho, Kristiana Cerqueira; Rocha, Thiago José MatosSuicide has been a worldwide problem that has affected the lives of millions of people around the world. The World Health Organization estimates that the annual number of people who commit suicide is twice that of homicide. The aim of this study was to perform a temporal and spatial analysis of suicidal violence in the metropolitan region of Maceió - AL, describing the sociodemographic characteristics, related to the place of residence, place of occurrence, in addition to the characteristics related to the event itself. This is an observational epidemiological study, with a quantitative method approach. To investigate the associated factors-time-space triad, data were collected from the Instituto Médico Legal Estácio de Lima de Maceió from 2016 to 2018, and from the Mortality Information System for the period from 2000 to 2019. A modeling was used. statistical analysis through multiple logistic regression, using males as the reference category for the analysis, where the Odds Ratio (OR) values were calculated using the binary method, estimating the Confidence Interval (CI) of 95%. The prerequisites for the regression were the absence of multicollinearity (autocorrelation of the independent variable with the outcome), expressed as Tolerance values > 0.1 and VIF values < 10, another item observed was the absence of outliers. The choice of the final model observed the significance of the model, the R Square of Nagelkerke, the classification capacity of the model and the significance of Hosmer and Lemeshow. In all analyses, the significance level was set at 5%, using the SPSS statistical package (version 20.0) to aid in data processing. Results of the present study indicate that the pattern of victimization for suicide in the MR of Maceió is predominantly male and that it affects individuals of mixed ethnicity, single, salaried, whose residence and occurrence is mainly in the city of Maceió. Hanging was the main mechanism of suicide, followed by poisoning and intentional falling. Weekends and Fridays were the days with the highest occurrence of cases. Factors associated with male suicide indicated that they are related to ethnicity, work status, mechanism of suicide and trimester of occurrence. Suicide rates were higher in men, ranging from 4.1-7.6 x 100,000 population compared to female victims 2.9-4.1 x 100,000 population. The city of Barra de São Miguel had the highest suicide mortality rate, followed by Maceió, Marechal Deodoro, Rio Largo and Pilar. The capital Maceió has the highest number of cases and place of residence of the suicide act. We conclude by showing that there was a significant increase in suicide notifications between 2000 and 2009. This increase was mainly explained by the increase in notifications of female victims, within the same period considered. The present study had limitations based on the use of secondary data on suicide mortality, coming from a system that is subject to underreporting and inadequate filling in the documentation used to record these data, as well as in the system's feed.Item O uso das mídias sociais Twitter e Instagram na eleição para reitor nos Institutos e Universidades Federais(2021) Neo, Giseldo da Silva; Moreira, Nadia Cardoso; Moreira, Nadia Cardoso; Teixeira, Arilda Magna Campagnaro; Bezerra, Francisco AntonioItem Análise da comunicação no setor operacional usando equações estruturais: uma ferramenta de apoio ao gerenciamento da informação(UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DA BAHIA - UFBA, 2021-06-15) Drigo, Edmara dos Santos; Rodríguez, Jorge Laureano Moya; http://orcid.org/0000-0003-0541-0191; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5576711447768585; Ávila Filho, Salvador; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5006-1501; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8080668192694401; Souza, Marcelo Embiruçu de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8281601894113525; Rodríguez; Rodriguez, Carlos Manuel Taboada; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2328-378X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5905893327298080; Leite, Jandecy Cabral; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1337-3549; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7279183940171317; Lima, Orlem Pinheiro de; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1007-0734; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8148029403735260; Fontes, Cristiano Hora de Oliveira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8020-6815; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8533422209857268The absence of actions to manage information in the operational sphere (on the shop floor) affects the communication quality in this sector. Communication problems, in turn, can negatively impact operational security and organizational culture. Thus, this study proposed a model to analyze communication in the operational sector using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. A mathematical model was presented, consisting of 1 exogenous latent variable, knowledge management, and 4 endogenous variables: (i) oral communication; (ii) written communication; (iii) Man interaction with information and communication technologies (ICTs); and (iv) the operational communication. The case study was carried out in a land-based oil production region in the Northeast of Brazil where data were collected through a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale response. After analysis using the SEM, and using the same database, a supplementary study was carried out based on the development of a neuro- fuzzy model to assess information management in the operational sector. The SEM confirmed 6 of the 9 hypotheses proposed in the theoretical model. The results obtained showed that operational communication is directly influenced by knowledge management and by man interaction with ICTs. Written communication and oral communication had a direct influence on man interaction with ICTs and had an indirect influence on operational communication, thus, communication on the shop floor occurs predominantly through technologies. Knowledge management had a direct influence on the 4 endogenous variables, with strong explanatory and predictive relevance effects. The result of the neuro-fuzzy model showed that information management on the shop floor improves as actions are taken to acquire, store and distribute information about the operational routine. The model presented relevant contributions to the refinement of theory and practical contributions to support information management on the shop floor.Item A questão de gênero na formação de bibliotecárias/os: um estudo de caso no curso de biblioteconomia da universidade federal de alagoas.(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2021-07-16) Gonçalves, Luiza Glaciete Freire; Cruz, Tânia Mara; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5924581814331062; Santos, Raimunda Fernanda dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6543436156553138; Simão, Márcia Buss; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6386088355020507; Domingues, Chirley; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2756619384580846; Schmidt, Leonete Luzia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504234791214394The theme of “Higher Education, Librarianship and Gender” is recent in studies in the area of Information Science, but it has grown due to the demand presented by social movements and by academics in the field of Human Sciences. The present research, at the master’s level, is based on the need to reflect on the profession and gender issues in professional training in undergraduate courses, understanding and reflecting on the ongoing curricular transformations, analyzing the existing gaps so that, in moments of curricular debates, contribute with theoretical bases and critical vision for possible reformulations. Started from the hypothesis that the gender theme interferes in some way in the formation of the Librarianship professional, due to its absence, since not taking it into account keeps the prevailing socially sexist view in what is conventionally called hidden curriculum, as for its presence. And, having this presence, how would it occur in the prescribed and practiced ways. The general objective was to analyze whether gender studies are included in the curriculum of the Librarianship Course at the Federal University of Alagoas, UFAL. Specific objectives were to identify if there is a reference on gender in the Pedagogical Political Project of the Librarianship Course; to find out if the undergraduate students and the set of professors consider it necessary to include the gender issue in the course curriculum, and to investigate how the professors of the Librarianship undergraduate courses at UFAL understand gender relations in the profession. It is interesting to consider that this qualitative and case study research had as locus a public university and used, for data production, documentary research and thematic oral history obtained in semi-structured interviews carried out virtually with undergraduate students and teachers of the Librarianship Course of UFAL. Among the interviews, there are two women members of the Academic Library of Librarianship who participate in the course's collegiate body. Among the professors, five women and one man, full members of the Librarianship degree who were willing to participate in the research, were interviewed. Both at the time of data production and analysis, it was based on a historical-dialectical materialist theoretical approach that sought to capture the movement of construction and reconstruction of the object through the semi-structured script in the categorization and analysis after the collated field results with the literature review of the field. In this search for the “it was, it is, it tends to be” movement, the aim was to provide critical knowledge that contributes to social transformation. Among other issues, data analysis showed that technological or traditional subjects are taught by teachers of both sexes. Regarding gender content, there was a common knowledge among the group of interviewees, although with different degrees of knowledge. Regarding gender in the course curriculum, it was observed that, both in the 2017 PPC and in the new one, of 2019, the theme appears in a similar way, appearing in some menus and bibliographies in a transversal way. When it comes to race, this appears in the 2017 and 2019 PPC, but it is detailed only in the last one, including a list of bibliography from which works to be worked transversally in various disciplines should be extracted. Finally, the transversality advocated by professors still requires a deepening so that gender is contemplated in a more comprehensive way in the training of librarians, especially at UFAL.Item Escolas como organizações que aprendem: a autoavaliação como moduladora da aprendizagem da escola(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2021-08-26) Moura, Elton Oliveira de; Bispo, Marcelo de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0046249640629512; Silva, Anielson Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3405428972303042; Guerra, Maria das Graças Gonçalves Vieira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7195833831322050; Vieira, Almir Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4298642111341453; Brito, Simone Magalhães,; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1833114674355841This thesis dissertation aimed to analyze how the practice of school self-assessment acts as a modulating element of school learning. The onto-epistemology of the Theories of Practice was adopted from the sociological perspective of Learning Organizations. The argument of this thesis is based on two assumptions: (1) the school is an organization that learns from its daily practices, and (2) that self-assessment can be a way to the development of school learning. The empirical study had a first exploratory phase, where some specialists and professionals in educational management were interviewed to foster reflections on the evaluation and learning processes of the school. In the second moment, empirical research was conducted in a public elementary and high school in the city of João Pessoa (PB) in northeastern Brazil. Data collection was driven through online interviews with participants from the school community, remote observations, and documents. Because the research was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic, digital technologies such as video conferencing and messaging applications mediated the data collection process. The data analysis process adopted the framework proposed by Bispo (2015) to analyze research based on practice. The study's main results indicate that school learning occurs from three practices: self-assessment learning, engagement in practice, and translating policies and context. In addition, it was possible to verify that selfassessment acts as a modulating element of school learning to the point that it balances the relationship between concept ("what") and instrument ("how"). School self-assessment as a modulator of learning is based on the idea that reflection on the practices allows the school to direct more appropriate actions to its specific needs. This research contributes to approximate fields of Administration and Education to develop an expanded understanding of studies on school management and educational management. Also, in building the development of an alternative approach to the study of Schools as Learning Organizations from social learning. Last, in thinking possibilities of evaluation less classificatory, less focused on accountability, and more focused on school learning.Item Estudantes do Ensino Superior: variáveis pessoais e contextuais relacionadas ao insucesso acadêmico e evasão escolar(2022) Faria, Ana Amália Gomes de Barros Torres; Almeida, Leandro da Silva; Lima, Licínio Carlos Viana da Silva; Almeida, Leandro da Silva; Silva, José Maria de Castro; Monteiro, Sílvia Correia; Couñago, Maria Adelina GuisandeOver the past few decades, research around adaptation and academic success in higher education has increased. A greater number and diversity of students enter this level of education, justifying greater concerns about their academic performance and consequent completion of training. Data collection took place longitudinally at the Instituto Federal de Alagoas-Ifal (Campus Maceió) and included three studies with different samples, between 317 and 420 students from different courses, distributed between degrees or bachelors. At first, even before the pandemic, we applied the questionnaires in person. Subsequently, with the Covid-19 pandemic and the transition of activities to Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE), all the research was done from contacts and the application of online questionnaires. The study considered the following steps: the first took place at the time of enrollment, between the 1st and 3rd week after admission, where students were invited to participate in the study and provide information regarding sociodemographic characteristics; your previous academic career; as well as expectations and anticipated difficulties related to the chosen course. The second stage took place between the 6th and 8th week of classes since the beginning of the course. In this phase, information related to the academic experiences of these students was collected; and inserted questions about the socio-emotional impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the third stage, at the end of the school year, the process of adapting students to their courses and their intention to drop out of the course was evaluated. The thesis compiles four articles, including an introduction, a theoretical reference chapter and methodological course and a conclusion. The articles that made up the thesis were: 1- “Academic Adaptation of 1st Year Students: Promoting Success and Permanence at the University”; 2- “Academic Expectations and Difficulties in Higher Education Entrants: Analysis in Function of Gender and Quota System”; 3- “Effects of Remote Learning on Higher Education students”; 4-"Difficulties in the academic adaptation of higher education students in times of a pandemic". The results point to the complexity of the convergence of personal and contextual variables in the process of academic success and school dropout. In this process, the need for public policies to gradually decrease the retention and dropout rates stands out, as well as the design of institutional strategies to support the career development of these students, mainly through integration activities and support services. specialized.Item Paradoxo do cuidado: segregação e controle institucional de pessoas usuárias de álcool e outras drogas na região metropolitana de Maceió(2022) Silva, Laura Fernandes da; Santos, Hugo Leonardo Rodrigues; Lima, Alberto Jorge Correia de Barros; Costa, Elaine Cristina Pimentel; Rodrigues, Fernando de JesusThe provision of social and health assistance to drug users is the subject of several lawsuits. Despite this, there are few studies in the legal-criminological field on the subject. As an effort to reduce this gap, in this master's thesis I analyze the performance of public and private institutions for the treatment and reception of that public in the metropolitan region of Maceió. Guided by the concept of transcarceration, I sought to understand whether the practices carried out in the studied contexts contribute to the expansion of the prison logic, which involves punitive and institutionalizing experiences and usually affects people whose subjectivities were shaped in criminal subjection processes. For this, I carried out ethnographic interviews in three involuntary and compulsory hospitalization clinics, five therapeutic communities, a CAPS AD and in a team from the Street Clinic (Consultório na Rua). I also interviewed people under custody in four prisons in Maceió who had already been treated for drug use. These paths allowed accessing the affective and professional trajectories of the participants, which permeate the entire text. In addition, administrative reports, normative instruments and judicial decisions served as a source of documentary research, which allowed us to understand the normative guidelines and other important aspects of the services, such as their financing. The study showed that private entities play a leading role to the detriment of public mental health network in the region, which is usually justified by their shortcomings. On the other hand, it has been shown that private institutions, mostly maintained by the repass of public resources, are also unable to contemplate the plurality of users and act without sufficient state control of their practices, which expands the space for arbitrariness.Item Pensamento crítico, autonomia intelectual e formação humana: facetas filosófico-pedagógicas no Instituto Federal de Alagoas (IFAL)(2022) Nogueira, Crislaine Almeida Oliveira; Gamboa, Silvio Ancisar Sanchez; Gamboa, Silvio Ancisar Sanchez; Menezes, Anderson de Alencar; Silva, Marcelo DonizeteThis research aims to understand how the students’ critical thinking training has been provided by the institutional proposal and by the teachers of basic education at the integrated technical secondary level of a public school of the Federal Network in the State of Alagoas of a public school of the Federal Network of the State of Alagoas. This study tries to answer the synthesis question, which refers to the research problem: What and how are the institutional proposals, strategies and pedagogical practices of teachers of Basic Education at the Integrated Technical Secondary level of a public school of the Federal Network in the State of Alagoas built, regarding the construction of students' critical thinking? The discomfort that happened during a professional experience in the pedagogical orientation role at the Federal Institute of Alagoas, aroused the interest in carrying out this research, due to the perception of several levels of demotivation among students concerning their training and future perspectives, both from a professional and social point of view, and their interest about the learning processes offered by the institution. This is a case study whose target audience were two philosophy teachers who teach at the researched campus. Data analysis, used in a qualitative perspective, requested documental gathering techniques, such as analysis of the Institutional Pedagogical Political Project and teaching plans, as well as interviews with the philosophy teachers. The theoretical contribution was built through the Critical Theory (with the Frankfurtians Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer), the critical-dialectical and emancipatory pedagogy (with Dermeval Saviani and Paulo Freire). From the subjects' speeches and data analysis, it was possible to find results that raised the diagnosis on the students' human development and on intellectual autonomy and critical thinking, starting from the teacher's point of view.Item Avaliação da atividade e da inibição de ureases: estudos biofísicos de interação e desenvolvimento de metodologias analíticas(2022-12-19) Tavares, Maria Celia; Santos, Josué Carinhanha Caldas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3735618604163061; Carrilho, Emanuel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9157872297410868; Santana, Rodolfo de Melo Magalhães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2427465793815991; Cunha, Silvio do Desterro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5661286013847300; Goulart, Marilia Oliveira Fonseca; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5271094336884473Urease catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea in NH3(g) and CO2(g); it is associated with problems in agriculture, such as reduced efficiency of urea fertilizer, and health, because it provides a microenvironment favorable to the colonization of the human stomach by H. pylori bacteria. Therefore, inhibiting and determining urease activity in different matrices is important. Thus, the main objective is to evaluate the mechanism of urease inhibition by organic compounds (natural and synthetic) using biophysical studies, as well as the development of methodologies to determine the activity of ureases in soils and saliva (synthetic and human), in addition to evaluating potential inhibitors. For the interaction between urease and natural isothiocyanate (MFC), an IC50 = 487 µM was obtained, and the compound was classified as a mixed inhibitor. The synchronized fluorescence assays corroborated the nature of the inhibition process. Spectroscopic studies indicated conformational changes in the enzyme resulting from the MFCurease interaction, with a binding constant (Kb) equal to 1.80 × 102 L mol-1 and stoichiometry 1: 1. In addition, the formation of the corresponding dithiocarbamates and thioureas has been proven after the reaction of the MFC with amino acids containing thiol and amine/guanidine groups. Thus, the urease's inhibition mechanism by MFC occurred through covalent and noncovalent interactions. MFC was more effective in soil microbiota than in vitro, with inhibition equivalent to NBPT for the two soils evaluated. For the interaction of urease with five benzoylthioureas, a direct relationship was found with the size of the N-alkyl substituent with the IC50 (M) and Kb values. It was found that BTU1 was the most active and, therefore, selected for biophysical studies in soils with urease. For the BTU1-urease complex, Kb was on the order of 103 L mol-1 at the different temperatures evaluated; based on thermodynamic studies, the preferred forces for stabilizing the supramolecular complex were hydrogen bonds and van der Waal forces. Synchronized fluorescence and competition assay studies indicate that BTU1 probably has classic mixed inhibitor behavior. In the different soils evaluated, BTU1 showed an inhibition potential equivalent to NBPT, emphasizing the importance of in vitro assays and application in a real sample for selecting a potential inhibitor. Two analytical paper devices (UrePAD and Multicolor PAD) were developed to determine urease activity in soils, saliva, and in the absence/presence of inhibitors. UrePAD is based on the color change of the acid-base indicator phenol red, exploring the change in pH due to the hydrolysis of urea by urease. The Multicolor PAD is also a colorimetric device employing five acid-base indicators (phenol red, bromothymol blue, bromocresol purple, m-cresol purple, and neutral red) and surface-modified polyelectrolyte poly-4-styrene sulfonate paper. sodium or polyvinylpyrrolidone. The images obtained were digitalized in a bench scanner, and the analysis was performed in the Corel Draw X8 software. The methods showed a mean LOD of 0.10 U mL-1 with linearity between 0.25 and 4.0 U mL-1. Both devices were applied to determine urease activity in four soil samples with different characteristics and in vitro evaluation of classic inhibitors. The results obtained did not differ statistically (95% confidence) from the reference method of indophenol blue, having as advantages the low cost, reduced volume of reagents/sample combined with simplicity and portability, showing the ability to simplify the determination of the activity of the urease in soils and the evaluation of potential inhibitors. Finally, the Multicolor PAD was applied to determine urease in a sample of synthetic and human saliva, with quantitative recoveries (between 80 - 120%) and to show a more significant variation in color intensity for a human saliva sample from an individual infected with H. pylori. Thus, it is possible to use a simple, fast, low-cost method to diagnose infection by ureolytic bacteria such as H. pylori.Item Desenvolvimento de uma peneira de baixo custo para descascar sururu(2023) Silva, Allisson Luiz Nascimento da; Silva, Juliane Cabral; Souza, Mayara Andrade; Carvalho, Ciro Ramon Felix dos Santos; Omena, Rômulo Afonso Luna Vianna deThe sururu production chain is characterized by human suffering, from fishing to packaging. It can be divided into stages: fishing or gathering, washing, despining, cooking, peeling or deshelling, bottling and marketing. The step to peel or deconch it occurs through sieving. It is carried out mainly by women and children, who are subjected to great physical effort, as it is a completely manual operation. They are exposed to terrible ergonomic conditions and receive the lowest pay in the entire production chain. In this context, mechanization and automation are seen as a viable solution to reduce human suffering and the evolution of processes and products. The objective of this work was to expose, in an organized way, the technical and intellectual productions, during the Postgraduate Program Analysis of Environmental Systems, at Centro Universitário CESMAC, to develop a prototype built with recycled or reused materials, capable of peeling sururu and reduce the pain of seafood restaurants. This prototype for sifting sururu should improve the quality of life of workers involved in this production chain. The reduction of physical efforts resulting from its use should also reduce the emergence and incidence of muscle injuries and injuries. For its construction, experimental research was initiated, which included a literature review, patent prior research and the use of tools and software for projection, modeling and manufacturing. The prototype consists of a perforated and rotating basket, through which the molluscs fall and the shells are retained inside. As for its operation, when activated, an electric motor on the prototype produces the rotational movement of the perforated basket and the sururus that pass through the holes fall onto a tray placed at the base of the equipment. After completing the operation, the sururus must be collected and the shells must be discarded or reused appropriately. The research was carried out at the Shared Innovation and Technology Laboratory (Colab), of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Alagoas (IFAL), Campus Maceió, with support from projects promoted by technological innovation notices, in addition to partnerships with institutions, non-governmental organizations and cooperatives. It begins the transition to the manufacturing process and should be expanded to generate new products, with the aim of serving other activities in the sururu production chain. Currently, research on the ergonomic impacts in the sieving stage is being developed, through which it will be possible to evaluate the benefits of using the prototype. And research to carry out tests with the purpose of establishing optimal operational parameters must be carried out. In the Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things scenario, the AGV fleet is expected to be connected and integrated into the factory management system, being flexible and adapting to new demands. AGV control systems with fixed path navigation may not meet these requirements. Edge computing brings cloud resources to the network’s edge, making them closer to users. These resources can be accessed through a wireless network and applied to industrial demands. The AGVs can benefit from this when offloading tasks that require more computing resources to the edge server. However, the wireless network in the industrial environment is subject to degradation due to interference, signal reflections, shadowing effects, and electromagnetic wave absorption, among other challenges. The AGV, as a mobile robot, may traverse areas where the signal is degraded, increasing risks of collisions and accidents. Results of experiments suggest that Model Predictive Control (MPC) executed at the edge server, combined with a delay and packet loss compensation strategy implemented in the robot, can be used to mitigate these network degradations. In sequence, a two-tier architecture with MPCs is proposed to control multiple AGVs. The first tier, executed on the edge server, plans the trajectory of the AGVs globally, preventing collisions of the AGVs with fixed obstacles and each other. In the computer embedded in the AGV, the compensator used in the previous experiments gives place to a trajectory-tracking MPC, which must receive the trajectory of the respective AGV from the edge server and track it. Results of experiments carried out in four validation scenarios indicate that from the proposed architecture, it is possible to drive the AGVs without collisions, even in the communication network’s occurrence of delays and packet losses. In addition, tasks that demand more computational resources are offloaded to the edge server so that the computer embedded in the AGV can have more restricted resources, reducing costs and battery consumption.
