In the manufacture of Coconut Milk, the importance of these methods is doubled, as it is a natural food that has a high content of moisture and lipids, factors that are the biggest cause of losses in the production of coconut milk. This is a report of a supervised internship carried out at the company Incoco, referring to the analysis and conservation methods (harvesting in ideal time, careful handling, washing, removal of the Copra properly, laboratory analyses, formulating the milk with the ideal amount of additives, correct packaging, baling and correct storage) as a crucial point in the production of coconut milk. The efficiency of the application of all the methods in the product is visibly noticed by its consumption and by its shelf life, therefore the methods are allowed to be introduced to the product.Item Aproveitamento de subprodutos na indústria sucroalcooleira(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-05-24) Silva, Yasmin Roberta de Lisboa; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; França, Márcio Abreu de; Nascimento, Raul César da SilvaThe high cultivation of sugarcane in Brazil for the production of ethanol and sugar in the sugar-alcohol industry generates by-products that are of great importance within the sector and the production of the industry. Thus, it is important to know and study the use of these by-products, so that there is greater productivity and reduction of damage caused to nature. The by-products studied, which are obtained in the process of ethanol production and sugar production are: straw, bagasse, filter cake, molasses, carbon dioxide (CO2), yeasts and vinasse. These by-products can be used within the industry or in other sectors of the economy, also favoring the environment. This article presents the production process of ethanol and sugar and the by-products that are obtained and their subsequent use.Item Breve revisão bibliográfica sobre a produção de biodisel a partir de algas(2025) Messias, Erica dos Santos; Cunha, Simonise Amarante Figueiredo; Cunha, Simonise Figueiredo Amarante; Souza, Felipe Thiago Caldeira de; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio SantosThis study revisits the production of biodiesel from microalgae, highlighting its relevance in the context of renewable energies and sustainable development. This work presents the sugarcane quality control process in the sucrose laboratory at the Pindorama plant, describing all the analyzes carried out and the procedures used. It was observed that the possible sucrose content is the main quality parameter of sugar cane, from which other indicators are obtained that determine the cost of the raw material and sugar and ethanol production can be measured.Item Descarte de medicamentos: um estudo sobre o impacto ambiental e a saúde pública na cidade de Penedo - AL(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-03-08) Barbosa, Rayane Rocha; Silva, Marina de Magalhães; Silva, Marina de Magalhães; Santos, Elisângela Costa; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio SantosThe advancement of technology has provided the discovery of new drugs, in view of this, the manufacture of medicines has increased, and the consumption of medicines is constantly growing, which most of the time, after being expired or out of use, are discarded inappropriately. These residues, in turn, can be harmful to public health and the environment, which, even with sewage treatment, are not eliminated. The objective of the study was to know the destination given to expired or disused medicines in residences in the city of Penedo - AL. To this end, a diagnostic evaluation was initially carried out, seeking to collect information from the population of Penedense, regarding what would be the disposal of medicines, reverse logistics, if they had home pharmacies, among others. After data collection, the surveys pointed out that the lack of knowledge or an adequate educational awareness system is one of the main reasons for controlling the amount of erroneously discarded medicines and that only 9% of respondents have the practice of discarding drugs adequately, with antibiotics being one of the drugs most discarded, probably due to the withholding of prescriptions for acquisition. Soon after, interviews were conducted in pharmacies, analyzing whether they received such medications and it was proven that there are several collection points (private pharmacies and health centers) so that the community can dispose of them correctly, consciously, and sustainably.Item Direitos trabalhistas nas usinas sucroalcooleiras(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-04-29) Honorato, Wesley Bastos Messias; Nascimento, Raul César da Silva; Nascimento, Raul César da Silva; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; França, Márcio Abreu deAccording to work, we can see many workers suffering in the cutting of sugar cane, for not having knowledge about the rights of the Labor Laws. On May 1st, the CLT was enacted. The current situation is quite different from the year 1980. Brazil is one of the main consumers and exporters of sugar and ethanol, most of these workers are all with low education. The people who go to work in these plants go to improve the family, many of them migrate to the Southeast in search of a better condition for the family. The labor legislation does reduce as article 149 of the penal code, slavery can be characterized by four elements.Item Doenças transmitidas por alimentos (Dtas): com enfoques em agentes biológicos(2024) Trindade , Layse Sandrielly dos Santos; Rocha, Martha Suzana Rodrigues dos Santos; Rocha, Martha Suzana Rodrigues dos Santos; Silva, Marina de Magalhães; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio SantosFoodborne Diseases (FBDs) represent a significant public health concern, causing gastrointestinal infections and food poisoning due to the consumption of contaminated food. This study investigates the occurrence, prevention and control of FBDs with a focus on biological agents, currently promoting food safety and raising public awareness of hygiene and food handling practices. In Brazil, there are limitations in the knowledge of the epidemiological profile of FBDs, with few states and municipalities having comprehensive data on the causative agents and the foods most frequently involved. In order to reduce the incidence of FBDs, it is essential to intensify attention to food safety, improve production processes and raise awareness throughout the production chain. The implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) programmes, the continuous training of workers and the adoption of advanced hygiene and monitoring technologies are essential measures to guarantee food safety.Item Fabricação do cimento(2022) Ferreira, Allyson Yan Farias; Nascimento, Raul César da Silva; Nascimento, Raul César da Silva; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Santos, WellinghtonPresent work aims to show all stages of manufacturing and importance of cement. Cement is the most used material created by man in the world, so we can see that its existence is very important for the development of a society through the construction of basic sanitation, houses, schools, etc. Cement is linked to all this, where it is basically produced from limestone and clay materials, which are extracted from nature through mining, going to the industry by road transport until reaching the destination where it is stored in piles. This form of storage already makes a homogenization of the materials, transforming it into agical, then it is taken to the mills for crushing, reducing granulometry of agical until it becomes a fine flour called raw flour. This material is transported to be heated in the cyclone tower where it goes to a blast furnace, raising its temperature even more. Then there is the formation of clinker. This is because the high temperature causes a pre-fusion of raw flour, leaving it in the form of small stones that will later be crushed in a mill. At this stage, additives are added according to cement specifications, such as iron ore, blast furnace slag, gypsum, among others. Everything is ground and stored in silos so the product can be bagged or sold in bulk.Item Importância do controle de qualidade na produção de açúcar(2025) Gomes, Thaís dos Santos; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Silva, Wcleuton Oliveira; Santos, Lenilson de AlmeidaThis study examined the effect of applying quality control to sugar production in Brazil, focusing on ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certification. With the growing demand for ethanol as a fuel, research has been developed to increase the production of this product without increasing the plant’s cultivation area. Thus, second generation ethanol – 2G arises, being produced through waste often discarded from other cultures. These residues go through steps to provide fermentable sugars and are then fermented by yeasts. The major obstacle of this product is the high cost of production that makes the process unfeasible. Thus, the present work aims to describe and analyze the stages of the 2G ethanol production process, through bibliographic research, also addressing its main raw materials. It was possible to conclude that second-generation ethanol is an advantageous product, but it still needs to be developed so that the process becomes economically viable. Item Produção de biogás a partir da vinhaça(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-02-14) Ferreira, Bruno Henrique Teles; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Cabral, Mirelle Márcio Santos; Nascimento, Raul César da Silva; Rocha, Martha Suzana Rodrigues dos SantosConsidering the search for alternative sources to fossil fuels, the possibility arises of reusing vinasse for another function (instead of fertigation, which is the most common), to produce biogas. First, it is important to highlight that vinasse is a residual liquid from ethanol distillation found in abundance. Due to its physical-chemical characteristics, it represents a great concern if disposed of in the wrong way in the environment. Thus, in the midst of so many possibilities for the use of this by-product, anaerobic digestion stands out, as it has the ability to reduce the concentration of organic matter, neutralize the pH and, mainly, produce biogas – an important source of heat and electricity, with the advantage of being a renewable biofuel. Therefore, this work seeks to analyze the use of vinasse for the production of biogas through a literature review, this technology still needs investments and improvements to increase production and use. However, it can be concluded that the great Brazilian potential in producing biogas is evident, since vinasse is in abundance given the large number of ethanol production plants.
