(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-05-23) Gomes, Jacqueline; Castilho, Fábio Francisco de Almeida; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3281-612X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1280124410024317; Castilho, Fábio Francisco de Almeida; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3281-612X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1280124410024317; Machado, Cristiane Brito; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2326-715X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8900177927669355; Santos , Sanádia Gama dos; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3001-1889; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9251665509410894
This research provides a reflection on the contribution of Extension Projects to integral human education, bearing in mind that the inseparability between Teaching, Research and Extension is one of the philosophical and technical-methodological principles that guide academic practices at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Alagoas (IFAL). The general objective was to analyze the participation of IFAL students and staff in Extension Projects, in a conception of integral human professional and technological education, which promotes inclusion, the development of students' creativity and autonomy and also the use of other training spaces and integrated practices, from the perspective of Extension as a training dimension. The methodology used was qualitative, collaborative action research, according to Ivana Maria Lopes de Melo Ibiapina (2008) and Laurence Bardin (2011). Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 35 people in the context of different territories covered by IFAL, based on the assumptions of critical historical theory, according to Odilon Roble (2012) and Paul Thompson (1998). In addition, a survey was carried out of data related to Extension from 2019 to 2025 at IFAL and a documentary analysis of the PDI, PPPI and some institutional regulations. This research resulted in an Educational Product (EP). The EP is an Extension Worker's Diary based on the speeches of the participants, students and extension workers, with the aim of sensitizing IFAL students to the importance of participating in Extension Projects for their education. Furthermore, this EP will be able to subsidize managers, extension coordinators in the teaching units, extension project supervisors and teachers in Integrated High School Technical courses in relation to extension activities, and be applied in other educational institutions.

This dissertation aims to investigate the potential of Food and Nutrition Education (FNE) within the scope of Professional and Technological Education (PTE), through the development and implementation of a playful Educational Product (EP). The proposal arises from the need to promote innovative pedagogical practices that integrate curricular content with relevant themes for the holistic development of students. The research, which follows a qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory nature, utilized the action research method and was conducted with first- year students of the Integrated High School at IFAL – Satuba Campus. As an educational intervention, the card game "Nu-tri-oh – The Healthy Eating Game" was developed, aiming to foster youth protagonism, critical reflection, and autonomy in food choices. The results showed that the game significantly contributed to the learning of content related to healthy eating, expanding students' knowledge about food groups, nutrients, and the impacts of eating habits on health. There was also a high level of engagement among the participants, as well as a willingness to change eating behavior. It is concluded that the use of playful resources in the school context can be an effective strategy to enhance Health Education (EAN) and strengthen the connection between theory and practice, promoting the formation of conscious, critical, and socially committed individuals regarding their health and well-being.

This research aims to problematize and analyze issues related to Information Literacy in the context of Vocational and Technological Education, with participants consisting of third-year students of the Integrated Technical Course in Chemistry at the Federal Institute of Alagoas - Penedo Campus. The methodology is qualitative action research, developed in four stages: (1) Diagnostic research and data analysis; (2) Development of the Educational Product (EP); (3) Implementation of the EP and results obtained; (4) Adjustments and evaluation of the EP. The data analysis technique used was thematic content analysis for qualitative data and basic statistics for quantitative data. The research highlighted the need to work with Integrated High School students on concepts related to Information Literacy, considering their preference for accessing online information sources. Therefore, an Educational Product (EP) in course format was developed to promote and improve these students' information literacy skills, as well as to develop greater critical thinking and reflection regarding the process of searching, retrieving, and using information on the internet. The results of the Educational Product evaluation were positive, considering that the content related to Information Literacy contributed to the students' development. We concluded that Information Literacy is an important aspect to work with Integrated High School students, as it enables lifelong learning. We hope that other educators (librarians and teachers) will also work on this topic in other Professional and Technological Education (EPT) settings.

The process of political education in the school context is hampered by ideological disputes and conflicting conceptions. Based on the understanding that the ethical-political dimension is an inseparable part of an emancipatory human education, which guarantees students their insertion in social life through full access to cultural assets produced throughout the history of humanity, this research addresses the formation of student leaders and the organization of spaces for political education in Professional and Technological Education, taking as a focus the Federal Institute of Alagoas. Its objective is to analyze the process of organizing a pedagogical space in Integrated High School aimed at political education through the organization of student events. The methodological premise of the research is the qualitative-quantitative approach, of the participatory, exploratory and applied research type developed in four stages. In the first stage, a bibliographic review was carried out on themes that permeated the construction of the research, such as political education in the school space and the development of student leaders. The second stage consisted of conducting a diagnosis, which occurred through active observation of the campus under study and the application of a questionnaire to the research participants, students who participate in student representation spaces. In the third stage, a prototype of the educational product was developed, which consists of an instructional guide for students on organizing events. The last stage corresponded to the application and evaluation of the developed educational product. To analyze the data obtained from the application and evaluation of the educational product, content analysis and descriptive statistics were used. The result was the design of a didactic/instructional guide on organizing events for students, as a proposal for structuring a formal space in Integrated High School that contributes to the work of political formation and development of student leadership. The research evidenced the lack of material on organizing events adapted for students, despite it being a recurring activity in the times and school spaces of Professional and Technological Education, which relies on the active participation and direction of student leaders. It was observed that the lack of systematized knowledger students about the event activity limited the experimentation of these spaces through intuitive learning or from previous experiences with other organizers. Ingeneral, based on the participants' evaluation of the material created, there was a prevalence of high acceptance in relation to its contribution to the proposed purpose.

Acquiring knowledge related to Labor and Social Security Law is fundamentally important for strengthening professional relationships, as these legal fields protect citizens and ensure safeguards against potential abuses in labor relations. This study aimed to analyze whether pre- graduating students from Federal Institutes have access to knowledge of Labor and Social Security Law before entering the job market, as well as to verify whether there are mechanisms in place to protect them from possible exploitation within the capitalist system. In this context, the research investigates how the Integrated High School (Ensino Médio Integrado – EMI) curriculum addresses basic labor rights, such as the FGTS (Severance Indemnity Fund), paid vacation, 13th salary, sick leave, maternity leave, among other rights. The study falls within the research line "Organization and Memory of Educational Spaces in Professional and Technological Education (EPT)" and is aligned with the macroproject "Organization of Pedagogical Spaces in EPT." The investigation is developed under a critical lens of the labor market and its insatiable demand for the training and qualification of those who intend to enter it. This work analyzes the legal knowledge provided within EMI and whether it effectively prepares students to engage in the workforce beyond the interests of capital. As a methodological approach, the research adopts a quanti-qualitative perspective, using action research and semi-structured questionnaires applied to final-year students of the Agricultural Technical Course at the Federal Institute of Alagoas – IFAL – Satuba Campus. The research involved documentary and bibliographic analysis and was conducted in five stages: (I) Diagnostic research with students in the classroom; (II) Analysis of diagnostic data; (III) Definition and development of the educational product; (IV) Presentation of the product and application of an evaluation questionnaire; (V) Analysis of the evaluation data collected. The study confirmed the lack of practical legal education in Labor and Social Security Law for pre-graduating students at IFAL. In response, an educational booklet was developed, grounded in Paulo Freire’s pedagogical concepts and aiming to implement David Ausubel’s theory of meaningful learning. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the educational product in contributing to the formation of critically aware students, from high school through professional life, aligned with EMI’s proposal of omnilateral education in a counter-hegemonic perspective — not only preparing students to enter the job market, but also to defend themselves within it, equipped with the knowledge of what awaits them after graduation.

This study aimed to investigate the pedagogical potential of the book trailer—a short video inspired by the logic of movie trailers—as a didactic tool for developing reading competence in the context of professional and technological education. The research was conducted with students from a technical course integrated into high school at the Federal Institute of Bahia, through the application of a didactic sequence composed of six workshops. Grounded in theories of multimodal reading, multiliteracies, intersemiotic translation, intermediality, active methodologies, and meaningful learning, the study analysed how literary mediation through digital information and communication technologies can promote more meaningful, critical, and contextualized reading practices. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using coding and thematic analysis, from which three main themes emerged: (1) understanding multimodal language and intersemiotic translation; (2) the use of digital technologies in literature teaching; and (3) experience with active methodologies and meaningful learning. The results indicated that the book trailer appears to foster student engagement, increase interest in literary reading, and enable meaning-making through the articulation of linguistic, aesthetic, and technological resources. The research also highlights the challenges of implementing such practices in public education contexts, including material and time constraints, but suggests feasible paths for their replication and expansion. It is concluded that the book trailer, as a practice of reading and intersemiotic translation, can contribute to reading skills in technological education, aligning with the contemporary demands of critical and multimodal education.

Documentário vida e formação: autobiografias educativas de estudantes concluintes do ensino médio integrado do Ifal- Campus Maceió
(2025) Santos, Lídia Maria da Silva; Cavalcanti, Ricardo Jorge de Sousa; Cavalcanti, Ricardo Jorge de Sousa; Castilho, Fábio Francisco de Almeida; Santos, Lúcia de Fátima
This dissertation presents the results of a master's degree research project within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), in the Educational Practices in EPT Line, with the objective of establishing, through the production of a documentary, relationships between the curriculum, the world of work and the life projects of students of Integrated High School of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education, in order to contribute to the integral formation, resulting in critical and reflective citizens in the face of the reality experienced, capable of “linguistically achieving specific objectives in particular social situations” (Marcuschi, 2010, p. 31). To this end, we developed a didactic sequence (Zabala, 2010; Schneuwly and Dolz, 2004) whose objective was the production of Educational Autobiographies (Josso, 2014), since biographical narratives contribute to the understanding of the processes of formation, knowledge and learning. The methodology adopted is qualitative, following the action research method, based on Thiollent (2011), Ibiapina (2008), Pimenta (2005). The research site was the Instituto Federal de Alagoas – Campus Maceió. The participants were students from a third-year class of the Electronics Technical Course Integrated into High School and the respective teacher in charge of the class, in addition to teachers who teach the Portuguese Language component in the integrated high school, who participated as evaluators of the Educational Product developed through the research. The data collection and production instruments used were: characterization and evaluation questionnaires, notes and field diaries; text productions made by the students during the research, in addition to audio and video recordings. These data were analyzed through the autobiographical method, in addition to categories that were accessed based on studies of Applied Linguistics. The Educational Autobiographies of the participating students generally present their educational path from their entry into Ifal - Maceió Campus until the moment they produced their narratives and revealed issues related to the following categories: 1) Diversity of experiences lived throughout the ongoing education; 2) Challenges of the school transition between elementary and high school integrated with professional and technological training; 3) The influence of the family as a determining factor for academic and professional success; 4) Personal maturity; 5) School as the path to a better future. Some participants also presented, in their Educational Autobiographies, signs of transformation, called pivotal moments (Josso, 2014), which stand out for marking significant ruptures and transformations in the personal, academic and/or professional trajectories of the participants. The result was the creation of the Documentary “Life and Training”, an Educational Product from the perspective of the Educational Practices line, with the aim of contributing to the integration of Portuguese language teaching and training for the world of work, in order to contribute to the integral human development of high school students.

The research dealt with the memories of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Alagoas (Ifal), Satuba Campus, and the creation of the educational product (PE) entitled “Virtual Museum of the Satuba Campus” which is hosted on a Website. Contributing through its collection to the integral education of the institution's students and preservation of their memories. To this end, the objective was to investigate how a Virtual Museum of the Satuba Campus can contribute to the recognition of its memories by students, in order to enable access to its historical collection virtually, assisting in an integral education. The research has a qualitative approach, it began with bibliographic research focused on the use of school memories as a tool for valuing history, as for the methodological procedures, Action Research was used, carried out at the Satuba Campus, with third-year students of the Technical Course Integrated with High School in Agriculture. The study was conducted in two stages. The first stage was divided into three meetings: the first was the delivery of the invitation and completion of the preliminary questionnaire. The second stage was the presentation of the virtual museum to the research participants and the completion of the questionnaire to present the virtual museum. The third meeting was the discussion circle. At the end of the first stage, after processing the results of the discussions, the objective was to create the Educational Product, which is now available on the Satuba Campus website. The second stage presented the educational product called “Satuba Campus Virtual Museum” in the institution’s auditorium, which was evaluated by the research participants using the evaluation questionnaire. The collection instruments were used to process and analyze the data. The research concluded that the virtual museum serves as an instrument for preserving and disseminating the individual and collective memories of the institution’s members, contributing to the comprehensive human development of the Satuba Campus students. Difficulties were identified, given the institution’s immense collection, for the process of cataloging events and pedagogical practices by dates in photographs. The research opened up horizons for new academic studies on the history and centuries-old memories of the Satuba Campus for institutional strengthening.

This research investigated the influence of emotions and feelings on daily school life and learning processes, considering the social contexts that constitute the school, the community and society. Based on this research, an educational product in video format was developed, aimed at teachers and staff involved in the teaching-learning process, with the aim of supporting reflections on this topic in Integrated High School Education. The research was carried out within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT/Ifal) and was justified by the relevance of addressing a topic that directly contributes to teaching practice, by recognizing that emotions and feelings permeate the learning and socialization processes at school, mediating the production of knowledge and the construction of socio-emotional skills. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, issues related to emotions in the teaching-learning process and in everyday school life were analyzed, based on Karl Marx’s historical-dialectical materialism (1967), Henri Wallon’s psychogenetic theory (2007), and Lev Vygotsky’s historical-cultural theory (2004). The research adopted a alitativequantitative approach, based on the principles of participatory research (Tripp, 2005a; Thiollent, 2011), and was developed in four main stages: I) diagnostic phase, with the application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with teachers, technicians, and students, to map perceptions about the importance of emotions in learning; II) construction of the educational product, through bibliographical study and collection of oral reports from teachers and students, via interviews and conversation circles, resulting in the creation of a training video on the influence of emotions in the daily life of Integrated High School; III) implementation of the action, with the socialization of the video with teachers and staff on campus, encouraging reflection on the emotional dimension of pedagogical practice; and IV) evaluation phase, with the application of a post-action questionnaire to measure the impact of the training video and the degree of awareness of teachers and staff regarding the importance of emotions in learning. The research field was a campus of the Federal Institute of Alagoas, with the participation of teachers from an Integrated High School course, students starting in 2022, in addition to the pedagogical coordination and the institutional psychologist. The data collected revealed that the teaching figure plays a crucial role in the production of feelings and emotions that directly affect the construction of knowledge in the classroom, influencing students' relationships with the content, with the school, with teachers, and with themselves. The analysis demonstrated that the quality of teaching mediation evokes emotional experiences that shape the way in which the school environment influences the cognitive development of students. Although teachers recognize the importance of emotions in the learning process, most reported not having received a systematic approach to the topic during their initial or continuing education. This gap reinforces the need for training and continuing education programs that integrate the emotional dimension as a fundamental part of pedagogical practice, enhancing students’ cognitive and emotional development.

(2024) Beirouti, Mayara Romeiro Lins; Lima, Antônio Carlos Santos de; Lima, Antônio Carlos Santos de; Cavalcanti, Ricardo Jorge de Souza; Maraschin, Mariglei Severo
Developed within the scope of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL), this research aimed to reflect on the relationship between students’ world knowledge and school knowledge in the EJA EPT (PROEJA) program, as well as the implications of this relationship for the comprehensive human development of these students. Situated within the Research Line “Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education” and the Macroproject “Inclusion and Diversity in Formal and Non-formal Education Spaces in EPT,” the study is qualitative in nature, of the participatory type, with data collection instruments including questionnaires and interviews. The research participants were students in the first term, or module, of the Technical Course in Culinary Arts, in the EJA EPT modality, offered at IFAL, Marechal Deodoro campus. From a theoretical standpoint, the study was based on curriculum theories, integrated curriculum, and comprehensive human education. Based on the analysis of data obtained from interviews and questionnaires, it was identified that there are areas of knowledge not yet mastered by these individuals, and that such knowledge is not addressed in the school curriculum, despite the pedagogical work inherent to EJA EPT. The research culminated in the development of an Educational Product (EP), designed as a game-book, which will allow EJA students to access this knowledge — previously left out of their educational processes — and may contribute to the development of their comprehensive human education.

The theme of this study is the participation of parents or guardians in management processes at the Federal Institute of Alagoas. It is an applied research project that aims to systematize educational practices for management work within the scope of Ifal. Located in the Teaching Area and developed in the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), in the research line Organization and Memory of Educational Spaces in EPT, it takes a methodological perspective with a qualitative approach. The universe of analysis is made up of the parents or guardians of students and the staff of the Pedagogical and Teaching Management Teams of two Ifal campuses located in the Sertão Alagoano Mesoregion. The methodological procedure used was documentary and bibliographic research and the application of structured questionnaires in three stages: I) Diagnostic research into the spaces for participation by parents or guardians in management and the management practices carried out at Ifal; II) Definition and development of the educational prototype/product; III) Application, testing and evaluation of the Prototype. When evaluating the product, the participants considered the quality of the material, its suitability for the profile of the target audience and the relevance of the content presented. The results of the discussion led to the creation of an Educational Product for evaluation by staff from the Pedagogical and Teaching Management Teams, with the aim of using it as a training tool for parents or guardians. The results of the study indicate that it is still necessary to develop information and training channels that promote the participation of parents or guardians in the management of the Federal Institute of Alagoas (Ifal), so that the spaces guaranteed in institutional regulations strengthen democratic and participatory management.

This research approaches labor gymnastics as a practice of physical exercises in the work environment, its benefits in the prevention of occupational diseases and promotion of greater physical and emotional well-being of workers. The aim of this study was to verify the benefits of labor gymnastics in the quality of life at work of employees of the Federal Institute of Alagoas - Campus of Coruripe, with regard to the reduction of pain and body discomfort. The level of physical activity and sedentary behavior of employees was identified, as well as feeling of discomfort/body pain before and after labor gymnastics workshops. Thus, the formative and bodily needs of participants, related to the theme addressed, were better met by labor gymnastics workshops, which had their stages documented using photographic record and note, the basis for the elaboration of an educational product capable of guiding future applications of workshops. This study is of quali-quantitative nature and its development took place through action research, in which participants were active agents of decisions made. The sample consisted of 38 participants selected in a simple casual way, based on confidence level of 90% and margin of error of 6%. Data were collected through questionnaires virtually applied: international physical activity questionnaire – short version (Appendix A) and the discomfort/body pain questionnaire (Appendix B). Data were treated through descriptive statistical analysis and tabulated using Excel spreadsheet. It was found that only 50% practiced weekly at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity and only 18% practiced weekly at least 75 minutes, showing that the vast majority of the sample reached levels below those recommended by WHO for adults. With regard to sedentary behavior, 50% spend 8 hours or more sitting or lying down during the week and at the end of the week, 55% spend 8 hours or more sitting or lying down. In addition, at the initial diagnosis, 75% indicated discomfort/pain in 5 or more body regions (in different degrees). In the comparative analysis of discomfort/body pain data from the application and reapplication of the questionnaire, 43.5% had reduction, 43.5% had increase and for the remaining 13%, there was maintenance of levels of discomfort/body pain. The actions of the present dissertation provided, in addition to formative experiences inherent to labor gymnastics and related ones, moments of education in health promotion and actions to encourage a more physically active lifestyle. It is hoped that this production will help to make the issue of quality of life at work even more academically evident, which is something extremely relevant to achieving improvements in the work environments of educational institutions in our country.

This research emerged from the researcher‟s personal experience, as a woman and a psychologist, and from the vision of the place of women in education and work as fundamental to society. Its realization took place in the school environment of the Instituto Federal de Alagoas (Ifal) - Campus São Miguel dos Campos and its main objective was to understand the experience of women as students in a Technical Course in a traditionally male area and to identify gender discrimination in their entry into the world of work. Its research subjects are students of the Workplace Safety Technical (WST) Course and servers. The investigative study is characterized as action research, of a qualitative-quantitative nature and, as research techniques, questionnaires and conversation circles were used. The first stage – the diagnostic phase – consisted of the application of semi-structured questionnaires, carried out in a virtual way. The second stage took place with the realization of virtual conversation circles, with students and servers as participants. With the material from the conversation circles, the third stage was carried out, the execution of the educational product, a podcast named The Place of Women in Professional and Technological Education, in the Internship and in the Work. It was sent to the servers by e-mail, along with an evaluation questionnaire, and had also been presented for a WST Course students‟ class. The podcast was considered relevant to discuss gender discrimination in the school community and will be shown on campuses, inside and/or outside the classroom, in order to stimulate a discussion about gender issues in Ifal and in society. With this disclosure, the research also seeks to contribute to the debate at Ifal, focusing on gender issues and work as an educational principle. The conclusion points to the occurrence of gender discrimination and the need to expand research involving this theme and Professional and Technological Education.

(2022) Souza, Jairo José de; Moraes, Eduardo Cardoso; Santos; Moraes, Eduardo Cardoso; Santos, Adriana Cavalcanti dos; Lima, André Sueldo Tavares de
The issue of people with disabilities is a prominent debate in society, despite there are affirmative public policies, such as quotas for PCDs in the selection of vacancies in public schools and even in vacancies for private companies. The educational issue on the inclusion of this audience still involves improvisation, either institutional or personal, of each educator. While it is still a challenge to include students in professional education following legal regulations, this project aims to investigate, analyze and discuss the issue of inclusion of students with specific needs, in addition to diagnosing compliance with legislation, guidelines and policies for inclusive education at the Federal Institute of Alagoas - IFAL, and investigate the meaning that inclusive education gains in the practice of educators in the classroom; getting to know, through the speeches of the interviewed educators, as an experience of living with students with specific needs in the classroom; investigate how this inclusion process can generate new didactic-pedagogical practices for these educators; and propose an educational product in the form of a booklet that guides managers and teachers on good practices regarding the inclusion of students with specific needs and after the collection of data that were used and triangulated and that served in a complementary way to create a second product educational in application format, where the booklet is displayed online and accessible to everyone. This topic has been widely debated by scholars of education, psychology and psych pedagogy, since the inclusion of students with disabilities, whether physical, mental, auditory, visual, or others, has been an increasingly constant reality in teaching classrooms. basic and superior. The research is methodologically based on the qualitative method and as a data collection instrument the semi-structured interview, carried out with eleven IFAL teachers who have students with specific needs in their classrooms. The theoretical framework adopted here is that of Socio-Historical Psychology, which sees subjects as active, social and historical. The results indicated that educational products allowed greater exhibition of the theme about inclusive education in technical education and compliance with legislation, policy guidelines and proposals at IFAL, in addition to providing an interest of teachers in joining the use of educational products in classes with to students with specific educational needs, as the interaction with the application can be a potential tool for dealing with problems related to accessibility in the teaching of students with specific educational needs.

The perspective of an integral education, defended by the Brazilian Constitution of 1988, fits together with constitutional determination for the implantation of democratic management as educational principle. Also called participative management, this kind of management consists of development of everyone engaged direct or indirectly in educational process, aiming the establishment of goals, problems solutions, decision makings and proposition of action plans (LÜCK, 2011). The Law of Guidelines and Basis of Education of 1996, presents three topics in defense of this management model: a) the school Council or parents and professors‟ associations, b) the curriculum pedagogic project and c) the election of school director (NÓBREGA et al., 2011). In the present work, we have focused at scholar Council, a collegiate body representative of entire community. The research goal was inquiring how the students glimpse the way by how de institution is managed, as well as, understand how was the participation of those students at the process of implementation of Campus Council at the analyzed school and if there was their intention at participate of decision-making process. Therefore, the researchers applied questionnaires and interviews with students, representants of the union movement and the student union who acts at the institution and consulted documents about the subject. Concomitantly, a booklet was elaborated, in scoping to counsel the community, mainly the students, about the school Council importance, aiming to stimulate an engaged participation at the Council. As a result, it could be verified a low students‟ knowledge about the Council and the need of their approximation to the school management, once the responders recognize themselves as excluded from de decision-making process. In relation to the booklet, is expected that it could be a tool for the students‟ engaged participation at the Campus Council and be able to understand the need to exercise their citizenship in an active way, by acting and inspecting the offered service by the school institution which they are part of, and therefore, of the others public services they are also users.

(2021) Leite, Rafael Félix; Melo, Beatriz Medeiros de; Melo, Beatriz Medeiros de; Costa, Elaine Cristina Pimentel; Cavalcanti, Ricardo Jorge de Sousa; Gaia, Rossana Viana
This research, carried out in the context of the Technological and Professional Education Postgraduate Program (ProfEPT/Ifal), aims mainly to identify the treatment in the debate about prison system on instructional materials and in Sociology classes in the Instituto Federal de Alagoas (Ifal), specifically on the Maceió Campus, and to propose supplementary educational materials for the Integrated Technical Teaching, directly linked to the programmatic content of the referred curricular component. Related to that goal, this work intends to amplify the knowledge about the prison system and the forms of workforce in contemporary society by acknowledging the penal labor. Thereafter, to qualify this discussion by means of the construction of Reflexive Notebook, at the same time as it proposes to collaborate in order to overcome stigmas and prejudices that fall upon the naturalization of inequalities historically constituted and experienced by the population deprived of liberty. For such, this study has made use of the qualitative method approach, the Investigación- Acción- Participante type, by Fals Borda, the principle of Intellectual Craftmanship by Wright Mills, and the integral human development as a common thread throughout the whole process. At first, we have performed previous literature review and, in the diagnostic stage, we have applied questionnaires to ten professors of Sociology from different Ifal campuses, we have interviewed five professors of Sociology from the Maceió Campus and we have applied questionnaires to twelve students of the Estradas course from the Maceió Campus. With these data, we have elaborated the previous version of the Reflexive Notebook. This material has been validated by four researchers of the topic covered and by ten professors of Sociology from the Ifal. We evaluate that this Notebook may qualify the discussion on the prison system and enable reflexive spaces in the classroom, which represent an effort in overcoming social inequalities.
