Item Análise de movimentos motores finos dos dedos utilizando visão computacional: um estudo de caso do Finger Tapping Test (FTT) na doença de Parkinson(2025-11-26) Campos, Herbert Douglas Silva da Silva; Nascimento, Arlyson Alves do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9395417554768580; Medeiros, Leonardo Melo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1080593968001453; Passos, Frederico Salgueiro; Calado, Ivo Augusto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5748220882915553Parkinson’s disease (PD) is characterized as a neurodegenerative and progressive disorder that affects a significant portion of the elderly population worldwide. The most common symptoms in PD include cognitive problems, which predominantly begin to appear in more advanced stages, unlike the motor symptoms that manifest at the onset of the disease. The Movement Disorder Society Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) is one of the assessments that aid in diagnosing and monitoring the levels of Parkinson’s disease in patients. Within the MDS-UPDRS III, which assesses the motor aspects of patients, there is the Finger Tapping Test (FTT), used to assess bradykinesia and rigidity of movement. FTT is typically administered by a healthcare professional who observes the patient performing the test. However, the use of computer vision can provide a more effective alternative by accurately capturing the movement’s characteristics. The aim of this study was to develop a computer vision system capable of acquiring data from fine finger movements during the FTT and subsequently classify Parkinson’s disease levels according to the MDS-UPDRS. For this study, a computer vision algorithm was created to record data resulting from the abduction and adduction of hand movements during the FTT, calculating the amplitude generated by these movements. A dataset comprising 532 videos of both Parkinson’s and non-Parkinson’s patients, classified into four levels according to the MDS-UPDRS, was used. Subsequently, biomechanical signal processing procedures were conducted. The results obtained indicate that the use of computer vision in assisting healthcare professionals is promising. Data collection from movements allows for the creation of a database that can be used in machine learning models to predict the patient’s disease level based on the MDS-UPDRS. Additionally, a binary classifier was developed to determine the level at which each patient falls, using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) along with the leave-one-out cross-validation technique. This resulted in an accuracy of 73.3% when using the entire available dataset and 76.6% when using only the right-hand FTT.Item Análise do monitoramento dos sinais motores da doença de Parkinson: uma revisão sistemática(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-05-31) Lima, Mayara Rysia de Assis; Medeiros, Leonardo Melo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1080593968001453; Costa, Breno Jacinto Duarte da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7418697922506495; Passos, Frederico Salgueiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6590059682506348Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a chronic degenerative disease that causes a motor disorder affecting the individual’s routine tasks and destabilizing their quality of life. The most notable motor signs make up a tetrad: rigidity, bradykinesia, postural and gait changes, and resting tremor. Thus, the medical examination requires an assessment of motor movements, emphasizing the speed, amplitude and rhythm of each movement, in order to monitor the symptoms and improve the clinical diagnosis. In order to distinguish improvements or evolutions of PD, motor assessment methods become increasingly indispensable, and in the literature, systems or mechanisms for quantifying these symptoms are found, the most recurrent being for the signs of bradykinesia, aided by the most well-known skill test, the Finger-Tapping Test (FTT). However, none of them is yet able to prove a definitive diagnosis, therefore relying on the interpretation of a neurologist. This research presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with academic artifacts produced, which demonstrate relevant data on motor movements and their quantification, using mostly the MDS UPDRS part III scale as a guide, in order to extract a set of requirements to be developed in a system for monitoring the progress of Parkinson’s motor signs, using the finger tapping test (FTT) as a technique. As a result, the RSL aimed to identify the most current techniques and approaches that quantify motor assessments, in addition to clarifying whether these methods demonstrate positive interference in the assessment process with the FTT technique.Item Uma análise orientada a riscos da atuação das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs) no contexto do ensino remoto durante a pandemia de COVID-19(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-06-06) Lima, José Landeivison da Silva; Bezerra, Tarcio Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5285201763618981; Cunha, Mônica Ximenes Carneiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1775024859845111; Cruz, Wladia Bessa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9112099478105369The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed a rapid shift to remote learning, driven by ICTs. The NF-e project, aims to computerize its processes, rendering obsolete the manual procedure previously adopted and gradually initiating the mandatory use of NF-e throughout the country. This new model of invoices, made it difficult for companies to adapt their fiscal, administrative and financial management to it. At the beginning of the current millennium, the term software-as-a-service (SaaS) begins to be widespread. SaaS refers to services as pieces of software resident in the cloud, usually available over the Internet by browsers. Its users interact directly with the software in the cloud, just as if it were installed locally. Examples of known SaaS applications are: Gmail, Dropbox and Spotify. The model has benefits, such as cost reduction in the acquisition and composition of the infrastructure, greater flexibility and greater ease of access. The SaaS model, represents a huge chunk in the use of cloud computing in organizations worldwide, being so a motivator for the adherence of new companies and organizations. In order to address the main difficulties in NF-e management, combining the main benefits of the SaaS model, the present work proposes a progressive web application (PWA), that it is a set of ideas to enhance the user experience, that facilitates the management of NF-e, bringing readability and availability of the information contained in them. For this purpose, there were made a systematic review of the literature, field research to validate functionalities for the platform, development of a minimum viable product (MVP) carried out according to what was collected in the research and, finally, the validation of the platform with companies in person that justified the purpose of this. As a result, the platform proposes modern web technology coupled with important functionalities in NF-e management, becoming an alternative to the market in the futureItem QR Code como ferramenta de apoio para pessoas com transtorno do espectro autista (TEA): uma análise de viabilidade(2025-11-27) Ferreira, Eyder Tinoco; Kamei, Fernando Kenji; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5033020411757389; Cunha, Mônica Ximenes Carneiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1775024859845111; Bezerra, Tárcio Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5285201763618981; Santos, Eduardo Breno Farias dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3318799697977357This study investigates the feasibility of using QR Codes as a complementary tool for the identification and communication of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The research stems from the observation that traditional methods, such as the puzzle-piece lanyard and the Autism Spectrum Disorder Identification Card (CIPTEA), while important, present limitations regarding practicality, information updating, and the protection of sensitive data. To assess the potential of QR Codes in this context, a systematic literature review was conducted using the Google Scholar, SpringerLink, and IEEE Xplore databases, resulting in the selection of fourteen studies published between 2019 and 2024. The findings highlighted recurrent benefits such as ease of information access, low implementation cost, real-time verification, and authenticity assurance, along with privacy risk mitigation strategies based on blockchain, digital authentication, and encryption. Subsequently, a questionnaire was applied to fifty-one participants, including individuals with ASD and their guardians, revealing that 82.3% of CIPTEA users consider the document useful for accessing rights but express interest in more dynamic and customizable digital solutions. Based on these results, the GizmoCode web system was developed—a functional prototype built with Java and Angular, designed to generate personalized QR Codes containing contact and support information, implemented in a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Maceió, Brazil. The results indicate that QR Codes represent a viable, secure, and promising alternative to complement the identification of individuals with ASD, contributing to social inclusion, accessibility, and autonomy. However, further studies are recommended to perform heuristic evaluations and assess large-scale adoption in real environments.Item Quantificação do sinal do tremor parkinsoniano em exames manuscritos em espiral utilizando Machine Learning(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-10-27) Correia, Igor Matheus Barros; Medeiros, Leonardo Melo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1080593968001453; Costa, Breno Jacinto Duarte da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7418697922506495; Costa, Alex Emanuel Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2231272728491909Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurological disease that develops gradually and causes motor symptoms, such as tremors, slow movement (bradykinesia) and postural imbalance. PD affects millions of people worldwide, especially the elderly population. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that approximately 1% of the world’s population over the age of 65 has the disease. Diagnosing PD is difficult and misdiagnosis is common, especially in the early stages. Micrography is a technique commonly used in the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and essentially consists of performing handwritten examinations. In this context, Machine Learning (ML) emerges as a powerful tool to apply data classification techniques that can identify patterns and assist in the detection of PD. This study uses two Machine Learning models, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest Classifier (RFC), with the aim of classifying handwritten exams and contributing to improving the accuracy and effectiveness in diagnosing PD. The results show that both models achieved promising performance, with high accuracy rates, reaching 86% for the RFC and 82% for the SVM. These results suggest that the application of Machine Learning to classify handwritten exams can be a valuable tool in diagnosing PD.Item Random food: sistema de recomendação de restaurantes(2025-05-07) Euzébio, Emylle Chrystinne da Silva; Kamei, Fernando Kenji; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5033020411757389; Medeiros, Flávio Mota; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1874496667181567; Kamei; Soares , Elvys Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6415531537733982; Moraes Júnior, Edison Camilo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8234380347792761This final course work presents the development of Random Food, a restaurant recommendation system that seeks to facilitate the choice of meals through controlled randomness. The project adopts versioning practices with Git and GitHub and was documented with a focus on functional and non-functional requirements and database structure. In addition, tests were performed to ensure the stability of the application. Random Food already has an official software registration with INPI, and this work seeks not only to describe its technical construction, but also to present its relevance as a creative, functional and low-cost solution.Item Reduzindo esforços manuais na análise de equivalência dos testes de mutação(2024-10-30) Amorim, Samuel Veloso de; Oliveira, Leonardo Fernandes Mendonça de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4226060363182113; Oliveira; Oliveira, Augusto César Melo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0015527839272634; Kamei, Fernando Kenji; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5033020411757389Mutation testing has attracted significant interest due to its reputation as a powerful criterion for test suite adequacy and its ability to guide test case generation. However, the presence of equivalent mutants hinders its use in industry. The Equivalent Mutant Problem has been proven undecidable, but manually detecting equivalent mutants is an error-prone and time- consuming task. Therefore, even partial solutions can help reduce this cost. To minimize this problem, we introduce an approach to suggest equivalent mutants. Our approach is based on automated behavioral tests, which consist of test cases based on the original program's behavior. We perform static analysis to automatically generate tests for the entities impacted by the mutation. For each analyzed mutant, our approach can suggest whether the mutant is equivalent or non-equivalent. In the case of non-equivalent mutants, our approach provides a test case capable of killing the mutant. For the suggested equivalent mutants, we also provide a ranking of mutants with a higher or lower likelihood of being truly equivalent. We tested our approach on a set of 1,542 mutants manually classified in previous works as either equivalent or non-equivalent. We found that the approach effectively suggests equivalent mutants, achieving over 93% accuracy in five of the eight studied subjects. Compared to the manual analysis of surviving mutants, our approach takes one-third of the time to suggest equivalent mutants and is 25 times faster in identifying non-equivalent mutants. We also conducted a study to discern the specific characteristics of mutants that our approach mistakenly classified as equivalent, generating false positives. Furthermore, our investigation delves into a comprehensive analysis of mutation operators, providing essential insights for professionals seeking to improve equivalent mutant detection accuracy and effectively mitigate the associated costs.Item Uma revisão sistemática sobre tecnologias assistivas voltadas para auxiliar a locomoção de deficientes visuais em ambiente externo(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2019-12-12) Lima Neto, Ademar Ferreira; Cunha, Mônica Ximenes Carneiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1775024859845111; Araújo, Fabrisia Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9852315723070987; Nunes Filho, Ricardo Rubens Gomes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1760182180822152Vision is the meaning most used by humans, as it is responsible for recognizing the world. The absence of vision entails several limitations to the human being, among them the difficulty of locomotion, especially in an external environment, which is full of unpredictable screens. To ensure the application met user needs, a participatory approach was adopted: over a period of four months, weekly visits were made to AMA-AL, allowing for observation of the participants’ daily routines and dialogue with the institution’s therapists. Based on these interactions, system requirements were defined, and low- and high-fidelity prototypes were developed and validated in collaboration with professionals to ensure accessibility, usability, and alignment with therapeutic practices. The application uses 2D animations featuring the characters Hugo and Sofia to teach the performance of everyday tasks through modeling techniques, promoting more dynamic, accessible, and engaging learning. The app was developed using Expo for the frontend and Laravel for the backend, and it will be used by therapists at the Association of Parents and Friends of Individuals with Autism (AMA) as a complementary resource during therapy sessions.Item SEJA - Sistema de Estágios e Jovem Aprendiz(2024-10-29) Oliveira , Lucas Gabriel Peixoto de; Oliveira, Leonardo Fernandes Mendonça de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4226060363182113; Nunes Filho, Ricardo Rubens Gomes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1760182180822152This final course project describes the development of the Sistema de Estágios e Jovem Aprendiz (SEJA), a web platform designed for managing internships and the jovem aprendiz program within educational institutions. The system aims to automate and centralize the administration of activities such as hiring, contract tracking, termination, and final evaluations of students, thereby optimizing efficiency and reducing operational errors. Built using Next.js on the frontend and Java Spring Boot on the backend, the software has been officially registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). Currently in use at the Federal Institute of Alagoas, the system has significantly improved control and transparency in processes, managing over 1,200 concurrent records of internships and professional practice. SEJA shows potential for expansion to other institutions, offering a streamlined solution for automated management of internships and jovem aprendiz programs.
