A dramatização como indutora da construção de habilidades e competências necessárias ao profissional da hotelaria

This article was motivated by a carried out research based on the use of dramatization as a methodological strategy in the teaching-learning process on Hotel Technology Superior Course of the Federal Institute of Alagoas – Campus Maceió, from exercises where students are stimulated to experience and improvise situations involving direct hotel customer service. It presents results that were obtained based on students’ perceptions and the observations made during such dramatizations, wich generated the research, whose objective was to understand how classroom dramatization can stimulate the development of skills and competences necessary for the IFAL's Hotel Technology Superior Course students to perform their professional activity. The action research methodology was applied, using reports of students who participated in the dramatic exercises and the observation in the classroom as data collection method. The students surveyed reported that through dramatization they were able to “experience experiences in advance”, “improve learning and fix contents”, “facilitate the relationship between students and between students and teachers”, “overcome shyness”, “stimulate creativity and improvisation”, “contribute to the performance and insertion of students who are in the professional market”, among other benefits. Therefore, based on the students' perceptions and based on the theoretical studies, it can be concluded that classroom dramatization works as an inducer for the construction of skills required by the hotel professional, and it should be done more frequently and in a more systematized way.

The present work aims to study and analyze the practical experience and living within the context of the Technical Administration Course, with a focus on vocational education. This research is characterized as an analysis of the problem situation, a bibliographic study, and a proposal for educational intervention through the guidance of measures to level students and reduce school dropout. The results reveal the importance of integrating theory and practice for the development of professional competencies, as well as the positive impact of practical experience on students' formation. The research also highlights the challenges faced by students and instructors in the process of practical learning and provides suggestions to enhance this dimension of the Technical Administration course. Theoretical and methodological support was provided by scholars such as Mattos and Lemos (2022), Chiavatta (2012), Maldaner (2017), and Rose (2006). This study contributes to a deeper understanding of vocational education, technical training, and the challenges faced by instructors in their classrooms, offering valuable insights for educators, educational managers, and students. As results, curriculum improvement, student monitoring, and the continuous adaptation of technical education programs stand out, preparing students for a dynamic and challenging job market.
Associação entre o uso de smartphones e a qualidade do padrão do sono de docentes universitários

The aim of this research was to verify whether there is an association between the use of smartphones and the quality of the sleep pattern of university professors. This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, conducted with 79 professors from a public university in Alagoas. Data collection was performed through a form containing (1) Sociodemographic data; (2) Smartphone Dependency Test; (3) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Questionnaire. The analysis was made through BioEstat. Most of the interviewees were female (75.9%) and were ≥50 years old (35.4%). There was an association between sleep pattern and dependence on cell phone use. The factors associated with sleep quality and smartphone dependence deserve attention, considering that they are directly or indirectly related to health problems.

The purpose of this article is to contribute to the dissemination of Law 11.645/2008 at the Federal Institute of Alagoas - IFAL, through the work of NEABI - Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies. To this end, a pedagogical intervention proposal was created to disseminate the actions of NEABI, for Teaching, Research and Extension, with an emphasis on integrated high school, in this sense it is questioned how to deconstruct a historical process, which persists from the colonial period until today, how to combat anti-racist, prejudiced and discriminatory practices for an egalitarian society. For reflection, research on the subject, seminars and discussions will be proposed. From a methodological point of view, it involves bibliographical research, in articles, books and others. It is hoped that the proposal will make a significant contribution to the real purpose of Law 11.645/2008.

This article aims to present a teaching experience of conducting laboratory class demonstrations in the form of videos. The motivation for developing this work is to provide simultaneous access to experimental classes for students in the Electrotechnics Technical Course at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Alagoas (IFAL), Maceió Campus. Since laboratory equipment is available in limited quantities, conducting experimental classes with more than four students per class period is unfeasible. The students participated in an experimental technical class on energy measurement based on a video produced and directed by the Electricity professor and a student. The video script was designed to objectively demonstrate how to assemble an electrical circuit from the diagram, how to connect the equipment and measuring instruments, and how to obtain results. The video was presented by the student, and this initiative aims to demonstrate to the audience that it is possible to perform an experimental setup with prior knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes. Learning verification was conducted through a discussion with the audience and mediated by the professor. Students were invited to discuss questions aimed at assessing the learning effectiveness of the experimental video class. The collected data were analyzed and presented in this article using the Action Research Methodology. The success of this pedagogical proposal is expected to encourage technical course instructors to add more experimental classes to their curricula and familiarize students with the real-world applications of theory.

This study aims to explore the challenges and benefits of using the generative AI ChatGPT by instructors of courses at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL), which includes the 4.0 Spaces, COLAB and IFMakers. To achieve this goal, a quantitative and qualitative research was conducted using a questionnaire on Google Forms that was applied to instructors at IFAL's innovative spaces. The questionnaire covers the participants characteristics, use, opinions, and perceptions of the AI tool in education. The results were presented in a graphical format and revealed insights into teachers' perceptions of OPEN AI's generative AI, its potential use in the classroom, and ethical and learning concerns. Additionally, the study demonstrated how to identify the use of AI to build a text by citing some existing examples and others that can be implemented.

The present work deals with inclusive pedagogical practices implemented in Sociology classes in the 2nd years of the Integrated High School Courses on Housing and Agroecology at the Federal Institute of Alagoas – Campus Maragogi. The intervention was carried out between May and June 2023 and its objective involved the application of pedagogical strategies that met the needs of students supported by the Nucleus for Assistance to People with Specific Needs (NAPNE). The adaptations and strategies used were small, supported by the elaboration and choice of pedagogical materials and the possibility for students to choose the options for delivering the activities. I conclude that the teaching strategies applied in the intervention were inclusive, but without being discriminatory and that inclusion begins when the teacher plans the lessons and the evaluation is end of the process.

It is known that education and health are indispensable fields for the existence of human beings, in addition to being correlated, since education supports a healthy life. The objective of this work was to report the construction of pedagogical resources for oral health education with a group of students from the technical course in oral health, as well as clarify the importance of using recreational resources during health education activities. The pedagogical intervention was the method used in the construction of this work, therefore, a bibliographical research was carried out with the guiding question: What evidence is available on the use of pedagogical resources in oral health education activities? In addition, for the development of the theoretical framework, the following databases were used: PUBMED, LILACS, and SCIELO, with standardized descriptors: Health Education; Collective Health; Pedagogical Games; Pedagogical Intervention and its correspondents in English. In all combinations, the Boolean And operator was used. It was observed that it is essential that health education actions are conducted through playful means that broaden thoughts, behaviors and bring listeners closer to the guidelines that will be discussed. Thus, the importance of technical professionals in oral health is evident in strengthening the complementarity and continuity of collective actions, reinforcing the commitment to the population's health, the bond with the community and participation in intersectoral actions.

Environmental issues have never been on the agenda as much as they are today. We are feeling the increase in environmental problems in our daily lives. Environmental education therefore plays its part in tackling the environmental crisis, and is committed to changing values, behaviors, feelings and attitudes towards environmental problems. With this in mind, this work is based on the idea of raising awareness among Ecology students in the 2nd year of the Technical Course in the Environment at Ifal/Campus Marechal Deodoro about the problems arising from the improper disposal of solid waste in the coastal environment and encouraging them to come up with solutions to the problem of environmental pollution, with the aim of filling any gaps in their learning. To this end, we opted for a participatory approach using active learning methodology mediated by works as the didactic strategy to be applied in the intervention. The result is expected to be significant changes in solid waste disposal habits in the coastal region as a result of the students acting as multiplier agents among their families and communities, contributing to the sustainability of this vital ecosystem.

the application of therapeutic communication in nursing care plays an essential role in providing quality healthcare to patients, especially in the psychiatric field. Objective: given that the initial contact between the health professional and the patient often occurs through supervised internships during the professional course, the central aim of this work is to create a pedagogical intervention plan in the context of mental health within a healthcare environment, to portray the health internship as a facilitator for learning therapeutic communication techniques in a nursing technician course. Method: the proposal involves the implementation of educational material based on Maguida Stefanelli's studies on therapeutic communication, which will be used in an internship location affiliated with the educational institution responsible for the nursing technician course. The approach will be both theoretical and practical, allowing students not only to perform relevant health procedures but also have a space to discuss the matter privately with the instructor and other members of the internship. Expected results: through this pedagogical intervention proposal during a curricular health internship, it is expected that students achieve a correlation between theoretical and practical knowledge on the topic, developing technical skills complementary to the scientific knowledge acquired in the classroom, thus contributing to their professional performance with greater security, identification and efficiency in the field of nursing and in society as a whole.

The work presented is a construction of observation, research and analysis of the return of women in the modality of Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) presenting the record of the experiences of the learners in the school space together with the teaching of Geography. Geography as a place of mutual development in the space of transformation of activities building a collective consciência of humanized emancipation and exchange of knowledge in dialogue by Paulo Freire in this way, Milton Santos presents the place of influence in the life of people looking at the space where the current events take place. Transformed and developed are no path that has been trodden or known, permeated by the interaction between matter and knowledge. A quali-quantitative methodology based on the analysis of the answers to the access to the sense of reality that people develop, where the questionnaire aims to measure the people that compõem the answers to the question list for the composition of Pós in Docência da Educação Profissional. Education as social practice has a quantitative structure to present the results obtained from the research of Youth and Adults in the composition of Final Course Work. In this way, EJA gives women the opportunity to return to schools and build knowledge within their realities discussed in Geography classrooms.

The objective of this research was to propose an intervention applied to the practices of identifying and preventing occupational diseases to promote learning in a Technical Course in Occupational Safety, based on the development of a practical nature of the discipline and approach to activity focused on occupational safety, it is a complex task, especially when dealing with a group of students, with workloads and time availability to develop activities. This task becomes challenging when the aim is not only to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge, but also to improve students' practice. However, it is crucial to give students real experience of how to act and apply learning to solve real problems in the workplace. The proposal is to hold a class on the identification and prevention of occupational diseases for students in the Ergonomics discipline, where they will learn to write a practical report to present as a result of learning in the classroom, and thus in the future take this learning into practice. day to day work. A methodology of three moments will be covered: in the first, class planning is carried out; in the second, a dialogued expository class is carried out, using active methodologies and technological resources, present from the discussion of content to the assessment of learning; the third moment refers to the assessment of the relevance of the content taught and resources used in the class, as well as issuing a report on the identification and prevention of occupational diseases at work, by students. Therefore, raise reflections on the need for practices to identify and prevent occupational diseases, provide students with the promotion of learning skills in the area of occupational safety, contribute to the prevention of occupational diseases; and raise students' awareness of the relevance of promoting a healthy work environment through the report. It is concluded that the proposed intervention has the potential to bring initial knowledge about identifying and preventing occupational diseases to future Occupational Safety Technicians.

This work presents a proposal for a pedagogical intervention on the importance of environmental education in the Technical Course in Environment in the municipality of Marechal Deodoro-AL, developed in the specialization course in Teaching for Professional and Technological Education – DocentEPT, at the Federal Institute of Alagoas. Over the years, the effects of human actions have raised concern about environmental issues and the way in which man interferes with nature. The theme of environmental education has gained strength and support from governments, generating concern about how to use natural resources in a conscious and healthy way. Thus, the present study aimed to propose improvements in the instruction of the Environmental Education subject, as well as present some difficulties faced by the teacher who teaches it. The proposed pedagogical intervention will be carried out through a field lesson with the class, culminating in the creation of a digital mural in the format of a folder, in order to propose solutions for the environmental impacts observed by the students. The methodology applied in this work consisted of a bibliographical research on the topic under study, and the preparation and application of an online questionnaire with the teacher who teaches the Environmental Education discipline. As for the results, it is expected to increase the performance of the classes, and prove the students' ability to relate what they learned theoretically with practice, and finally add knowledge to future technicians in the Environment, so that they can be protagonists in solve problems, in an environmental and professional context.

Professional and technological education faces major challenges in Brazil, the main one is choosing appropriate methodologies and didactics to guarantee the learning and quality of technical level professionals trained by the institutions, within these challenges is the relationship between students and practical training classes, which for many reasons they are not always able to guarantee their objective. Thus, recognizing the importance that practical classes have, mainly their pedagogical potential in the acquisition of knowledge by students, the general aim of this study was to investigate the contribution of performing practical classes in the teaching-learning process of students on the Security Course by the Federal Institute of Alagoas at the São Miguel dos Campos and Palmeira Índios Campi, evaluating both the student's perception and the relevance of practical classes in the professional training process. Having the specific objectives of applying a questionnaire to students to obtain the necessary information; Generate data about the practical classes offered in the IFAL Occupational Safety Technician course; Identify the main gaps between classes and learning. The quantitative method was used, through the application of questionnaires with students of the Technical Course in Occupational Safety at the Federal Institute of Alagoas, Campus São Miguel dos Campos and Campus Palmeira dos Índios. 60 questionnaires were administered, including 10 questions about the level of importance of practical classes for professional training. The results obtained were mostly positive, however the questions focused on student learning had a considerable number of negative responses, with the one with the highest negative evaluation being the question about the practical class time available not being satisfactory for the student's training. The result of the research is due to several factors, but there is an understanding that there is no practical class without the availability of physical spaces, teaching materials, equipment and most importantly, without qualified teachers. The two Federal Institutes have flaws that students recognize, most of which focus on the availability of teaching material, laboratories and practical class times, which can and should be reviewed to ensure that increasingly qualified Occupational Safety Technician professionals are trained.

This study aims to analyze the didactic-pedagogical contributions of interventions carried out within the scope of the Professional Practices discipline, in the Farmácia technical course offered within the scope of Educação Profissional e Tecnológica in the Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) modality, in the state public network , in 2023, in Rio Largo/AL. In this sense, qualitative research using an integrative review on EJA based on the precepts of Freire (1967, 1982, 1987), Vygotsky (1998) and other authors. In addition, documentary research, field research, observation practice and semi-structured interviews were carried out with the professor in charge of the Professional Practices discipline of the Pharmacy Technician course and photos of the classroom were recorded over a period of one week.

Promoting the inclusion of students with some type of disability is the duty of every school community. The teacher needs to use methodologies that consider the differences of all students, whether they are disabled or not. In this context, the objective of this intervention plan is to promote a practical activity of environmental education for visually impaired students in the municipal education network of Maceió-AL. The practice will consist of a trail in an ecological reserve or municipal park. The team will consist of 1 teacher and 6 monitors and the class will consist of 12 visually impaired students. Initially, there will be a walk on a trail in the area, where students will be able to observe nature through the sounds, smells and textures of the forest. After the meal, a guided meditation practice will be held where the student will be encouraged to "feel" nature, through connection with the environment, making use of the sounds and smells of the forest, then an ecological snack will be held where they will taste juices, sweets and native fruits, and to finish, there will be a conversation circle where students will share their experiences acquired during the practice. This practice is expected to promote the inclusion of visually impaired students not only in educational content, but mainly in the environment.

Professional and Technological Education presents itself as an area of Education that aims to provide training for the exercise of professions. However, over the years, the need to provide students with teaching methods aimed at human development has been perceived, seeking not only to train a professional, but a citizen. In this context, there are active methodologies that consist of a student-centered teaching method, with the teacher as mediator. Therefore, students are provided with the development of skills and abilities in order to make them protagonists of their own knowledge, contributing to academic, professional and social training. In this way, this work aims to develop a proposal for intervention in the process of teaching content related to the curricular component “Environmental Sanitation”, present in the curriculum of the 2nd year of the Integrated Technical Course for Secondary Education in the Environment of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Alagoas, Marechal Deodoro Campus. The activity aims to develop skills and competencies that can establish a link between work and human development. To this end, exploratory field research was carried out using the intervention research method, guided by active methodologies: problem-based activities, project-based activities and case studies. As a result, it was observed that the intervention process developed enabled cooperative work between the participants involved, a space in which they sought to solve problems and carry out projects of great relevance to their communities. At the end of the study, it was noted that the proposed activities were of considerable relevance to the learning process.

Digital technologies are providing students with infinite possibilities for social inclusion, thus stimulating the learning process. Its objective is to contribute to the process of professional training with students of the Technical Course in Buildings at Campus Coruripe, at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL); by carrying out an Architecture/Engineering project, through action-research, participant-intervention type, based on Thiollent (2011). The workshop approach allowed an experience in which students had the opportunity to develop a low- complexity residential project, assimilating and proving the necessary knowledge for this, thus collaborating in their training and future insertion in the labor market

This article aims to present an analysis on the use of active methodologies in remote teaching in professional and technological education in times of the COVID 19 pandemic. The Emergency Remote teaching was a strategic solution for the maintenance of the calendar in pandemic time and still meet the prevention and coping requirements regulated by the World Health Organization (WHO) maintaining the social isolation. However, it is a great challenge to adapt to the teaching praxis, whether for institutions, students and teachers since it had occurred immediately. Active methodologies have been the proposal of many educators to achieve student engagement, class participation and learning achievement in this challenging context. With this reflective look, some concerns arose for mobilizing this work, questioning whether the teachers of professional education of the researched school knew and used the methodologies active in their praxis in remote education. From there then check which methodologies they would like to know and what objectives they intend to achieve through them. The study was carried out through action-research in a vocational school in the state education network of Pernambuco, where active methodologies were presented in the form of workshops as an educational product.
