Item A Educação ambiental para alunos que apresentam Transtorno do Espectro Autista em uma escola municipal de Maceió : uma análise situacional(2023-12-14) Silva, Adriana Porto da; Santos, Gilson Oliveira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9220817099269462; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567Given the growing preoccupation on natural resources preservation, as well as health issues, it becomes fundamental that the notion of environmental preservation is addressed from an early age. However, Environmental Education constitutes a long and continuous learning process. In order to fulfill the role of Environmental Education, the school must transpose its limits, allowing for everyone to participate. Although national and municipal legislation offer guarantees for inclusion, there are still issues at implementing it, especially taking in consideration students who have autism spectrum disorder. This work aimed to provide an insight of how Environmental Education has been approached with students with autism spectrum disorder in a municipal school in Maceió. To reach that goal, applied research was conducted, with a descriptive qualitative approach, in participants of the school’s community (manager, psychologist, pedagogue and teachers), having a questionnaire and semi-structured interview as collection instruments. It was possible to verify that despite of the fact that there are documents which establish rules for working with inclusive education in the municipality of Maceió, implementing the methodology for it is still a challenge for the school. In the researched school, most of the participants are aware of the peculiar characteristics of a student with autism spectrum disorder, mainly of the limitations in social interaction, but there are, nevertheless, a lot of struggles on how to deal with this difficulty on interacting, as well as how to adequate school content and materials, particularly if related to Environmental Education, revealing a great lack of training that ensures daily work that can truly include such students.Item A fragmentação da educação nacional como retrocesso aos avanços da sustentabilidade ambiental(2021-11-11) Silva, Eduardo de Oliveira; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Bastos, Adelmo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6125212623471598; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741The need for environmental educational actions, throughout the educational process, are extremely necessary in a society that needs to know ways of raising awareness and sustainable actions, understanding the historical data that justify the choices of leaders, politicians and the population throughout Brazilian history. and nowadays it has its importance and it identifies well the decisions taken, in which the promoted crises place the capital interests of production above the environmental and sustainable interests. The methodological procedures carried out in this study were the bibliographic research, using the reading of national scientific journals in the area of Environmental Education, we also sought subsidies in legal documents, it is concluded with these studies that the degradation of the environment has disastrous consequences, threatening human life with the advances of industrial revolutions, where it is necessary to highlight the emergence of an exploratory economy affecting all sides of society that advances in inequality, mainly educational, where knowledge is born and the first steps of awareness of being and the world around you.Item A poluição da orla Lagunar de Marechal Deodoro e a população estudantil : relatos de uma experiência com a educação ambiental para uma contraproposta a educação hegemônica local(2024-04-24) Cordeiro, Joedsa Wanessa Oliveira de Lima; Almeida; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Irmao; Irmao, Jose Jenivaldo de Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8372721245933365; Almeida, Ricardo Santos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5955679764505968The main objective of this laconic work, through these reports, is to demonstrate a teaching perspective that is counter-hegemonic to the market-based educational epistemological project, to which we teachers and students are subjected in Education today. As you can see, the theme “Garbage in the city” was proposed by me in the classroom, in parallel to the period of this course, and after observing the population's behavior regarding this in the city, especially on the edge of the historic center, and also in schools where he taught geography subjects in Alagoas in the municipal network and an emphasis on Human Sciences at Eja Modular in the state network. The debates in the classroom about how we could improve this behavior were fruitful, and so that we could start the project that is part of a larger project, I used the traditional teaching method, trying to bend the stick that is already completely crooked to the side of the new teaching methodologies of the Education market system, exposing a theme for collecting data on waste and environmental education, to give greater support to the attempt to contribute to a counter-proposal for education in the city, using the theories and contents of the discipline of Environmental education. The exhibition will try to expose how to plan classes with political content that help in the political management of students, promoting an education that leads them to social practice and finally encouraging the creation of an environment for environmental studies in schools, as there are still many schools left to implement this type of studies, whose contents are extremely relevant, to the detriment of the proposal of the current method that advocates memorizing content that is not so socially relevant, types of soil, vegetation and names of beaches, lagoons and rivers, to content that leads us to practice preservation of the same. The proposal is to guide awareness raising, which is a small concept that will help preserve the banks of Lagoa do Sul, through the methodology suggested so that other colleagues can help solve the environmental problem of our Lagoon, which is slowly dying with all the pollution. caused by major local polluters, and which needs the support of the local population, through raising awareness and changing cultural behavior regarding waste in the city and how it affects the natural asset that is synonymous with local survival itself, Manguaba.Item A utilização de ferramentas pedagógicas na facilitação da aprendizagem da educação ambiental abordando a reserva extrativista marinha lagoa do Jequiá-Alagoas(2021-12-01) Santos, Bianca Gomes Bomfim dos; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Bastos, Adelmo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6125212623471598; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741NenhumItem Agregados do solo e índices de agregação em áreas de vegetação nativa, agricultura e pastagem no semiárido de Alagoas(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-06-06) Silva, Ayanna Araujo; Maia, Stoecio Malta Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6110419050119583; Calheiros, Altanys Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9353777923030637; Medeiros, Aldair de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861355880079380The expansion of agricultural activities with conventional management in the semi-arid region of Brazil, associated with the intrinsic characteristics of the soil in this region, can directly or indirectly influence soil aggregation and, consequently, the storage of soil organic carbon (COS). Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the impacts promoted by conventional land use systems (agriculture and pasture) on the stability of aggregates of different types of soils in the municipalities of Traipu and Santana do Ipanema, located in the semi-arid region of the state. From Alagoas. Soil samples were collected in the municipalities of Traipu and Santana do Ipanema. In total, four areas were sampled. In each of the areas, samples were collected in three trenches (replications) at different depths. The stability analysis of aggregates in water was performed using Yoder's agitator equipment, and later, the soil aggregation indices were calculated: weighted average diameter, geometric average diameter, stability index and instability index. The results obtained were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) using the F test. Differences between the means were tested using the Tukey test (p<0.05). The results showed that the pasture system with less time (4 years) presented smaller amounts of macroaggregates (diameter >2.00 mm), and greater distribution of mesoaggregates (diameter of 2.00 and 0.25 mm) and microaggregates (diameter < 0.25 mm) compared to native forest and other pastures. The IS values revealed that the agricultural system with 47 presents physical conditions of the soil closer to its natural form in the deeper layers of the soil.Item Alimentando o Futuro: um estudo de percepção sobre Alimentação Sustentável entre dois cursos superiores luso-brasileiros - Licenciatura em Educação Ambiental (IPB) e Tecnologia em Gestão Ambiental (IFAL-MD)(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2021-12-10) Costa, Juliana; Rodrigues, Maria José Afonso Magalhães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9851612740399796; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Cezar, Vicente Rodolfo Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2400958571631287; Sgarbi, Victor Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8780753465531965The food production and consumption systems practiced in the world go against sustainable development, being a great fomenter of climate change, bringing serious consequences for the near future. Food security continues to be threatened by the severe climatic effects that are already affecting the planet Earth, and that will have consequences on the capacity to feed a population estimated at 9 billion people by 2050. It is urgent to think about food from the point of view of sustainability in order to have fairer planting systems that lead to environmental and social improvement. Sustainable food seeks to interconnect all the chains present in the food system and, in a more holistic way, to build a production and consumption system more environmentally friendly, as well as an economy that leads to social gain. Training professionals who understand the meaning of sustainable food and who can act in order to mitigate socio-environmental problems is consistent with what is proposed in the 2030 Agenda, thus contributing to a fairer society. Environmental management emerges as a way to understand the interrelationships present between man and environment and, through environmental education, tries to raise awareness of attitudes and behaviors that lead to social equity. This qualitative-quantitative descriptive study aimed to understand the level of perception of two sample groups of the environmental area regarding the theme of sustainable food. Students from the Environmental Education graduation program (N=23) of Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal and from the Technology in Environmental Management (N034), of Federal Institute of Alagoas, Brazil participated of the study. The methods used were bibliographic research and survey questionnaire with multi-item perception scale (Likert type). Through 30 statements it was possible to know the perceptions of the sample groups. The questions were focused on specific aspects of sustainable food such as meat consumption, use of fossil fuels, seasonality and monoculture planting, use of plastic, composting, consumption of water resources, concepts of socially fair economy and social equity, among others. Although, in general, the results show that students are enlightened on the subject, it is still necessary, in order to achieve environmental literacy, an increase in the level of understanding of the environmental interrelationships related to food. In this sense, it is reinforced the need to invest in the education of these future professionals so that they become awareness agents for the environmental impacts resulting from food, because in this way, they will be able to develop knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about the interrelationships between food and environment. Hence, it is proposed at the end of the work a continuation of the research in order to promote the creation of literature on the subject and thus contribute to the dissemination of the concept of sustainable food.Item Análise da qualidade da água da Laguna Manguaba do Município de Marechal Deodoro - AL(2022-05-02) Rocha, Elenice Melo da; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741; Bastos, Adelmo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6125212623471598; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843The Lagoon Manguaba de Marechal Deodoro, is of great economic value for many families from Deodoro, as it produces a wide variety of aquatic organisms, such as: fish, shellfish and molluscs, which are a source of income and also food for the families of fishermen in the region who depend solely and exclusively on fishing, and have no other means to guarantee the sustenance and survival of their family members. The lagoon has a scenario of exclusive scenic beauty, where we can see on one side a beautiful green landscape composed of a beautiful and extensive mangrove and on the other side a beautiful lagoon edge, with a sports and leisure area, restaurants and snack bars serving dishes of typical foods, made with fish from the Manguaba lagoon, attracting tourists and visitors from various places. These restaurants generate direct and indirect jobs, however, they contribute negatively to the pollution of the lagoon, dumping their contaminating effluents directly into the water, without any form of treatment. There are several sewage and/or filthy tongues along the lagoon edge, being released directly into the Manguaba lagoon, not only from restaurants and bars, but also from other neighborhoods in the municipality. The presence of oil in the discharge of these effluents is notorious. It is also noted the disposal of household waste in the water bodies of the Laguna, such as: Tires, iron, wood, plastic (food packaging and bags), glass (beverage bottles and shards) that are discarded by the population that lives there. passes, or often, through the action of the wind. The objective of this work is this, to analyze, using instruments accessible to the population, environmental parameters that indicate water quality, trying to relate variations in these parameters to sudden changes in water quality in Laguna Manguaba, on the edge of the municipality of Marechal Deodoro.Item Análise da qualidade da água e percepção dos moradores do Conjunto Olival Tenório Costa em Campo Alegre - AL(2023-05-08) Silva, Celso Felipe da; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741; Bastos, Adelmo Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6125212623471598; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843Water is a natural resource of great importance for the maintenance of human life and a public good, as described in art. 1 of Law 9433/97 which provides for the National Water Resources Policy. The importance of water is not only related to its functions in nature, but the role it has in health, economy and quality of human life. Water quality is an indispensable aspect when it comes to its main uses, especially for purposes such as human supply and the supply system must favor this aspect. With this, the objective of this study was to carry out an analysis of the water quality of the Conjunto Olival Tenório Costa in Campo Alegre, Alagoas, and to evaluate the functioning of the local supply system through the perception of the local residents. During a period of four weeks, 500ml of water were collected in the eight blocks of the complex, totaling 32 samples in the end, where the physical-chemical analyzes were carried out. In possession of the results obtained through the analyses, the potality standard established by the legislation was detected. In all analyses, it was possible to observe that only in the analysis of the fourth week a pH of 6 was obtained, whereas in the others, below, the values were lower, also having oscillations between the results. Regarding the presence of color, it was found that there was no presence of free residual chlorine in any of the possible analyses. After carrying out the physicalchemical analyzes of the water and noticing some irregularities in the face of the legislation, the objective was also to evaluate the perception of the local residents about the quality of the water and the supply system through a virtual interview via electronic means, where 120 residents participated, and of this number, 75.5% were female. Regarding the quality of the taste of the water that arrives at the residences, 45.8% classified the taste of the water as bad, when asked if the handlers had already witnessed any alteration in the water, 76.7% of them said yes. And finally, 54.2% of those approved classified the supply system as bad. Finally, it is concluded that the water distributed to the population of Conjunto Olival Tenório Costa has already interfered in the issue of health of the inhabitants, and the responsible authority must remain vigilant to possible future health projects.Item Análise do desastre ambiental e seus impactos durante o fechamento do matadouro na cidade de Santana do Ipanema(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-11-16) Rocha, Ana Beatriz Souto; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Macedo, Sheyla KarineThe general objective of this work isto analyze the environmental impacts caused by the closure and restructuring of the meat market in the city of Santana do Ipanema. Knowing the impacts caused by the activities, a study was conducted to recover the history of this closure, due to the situation in which the necessary infrastructure was found for the correct disposal of the effluents generated, the waste is thrown directly into the Ipanema River, leading to bad smells, the turbidity of the water and the death of flora and fauna. After the intervention of the Integrated Preventive Inspection (FPI), the municipality and the health surveillance, the meat market was closed because they were not in compliance with the health surveillance standards and the commerce around the river (where due to human intervention building houses to border, a flood ended up causing the destruction of several houses) also causing harm due to the withdrawal of resources along with the disposal of effluents and the poor hygiene conditions of the place. The methodology used for the present study was descriptive and exploratory in nature. Initially with bibliographical research and, in the second stage, research on news related to the fact on reliable websites and an interview with the environmental secretary at the time, finally, we sought to identify the current reality of the market and its changes. The results of the study indicate that slaughterhouses carry out activities that generate a large volume of organic matter, making it essential for inappropriate disposal, given that the negative environmental impacts arising from such activity directly affect the well-being, health, population as well as one all. It is important to think that public authorities become indispensable in this process, being able to work with environmental education projects and that it must start from an early age at home, as well as providing opportunities for discussions of new forms, new projects and technologies for the adequate management of this activity, as well asthe implementation that ensures the appropriate disposal of the effluents in question.Item Análise do potencial efeito do extrato de urtiga no diâmetro e na altura da planta de milho no Município de Marechal Deodoro, AL(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-04-16) Costa, Maisa de Araujo; Bastos, Adelmo Lima; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6186-8856; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6125212623471598; Madalena, José Antonio da Silva; https://orcid.org/0009-0002-7289-7817; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1301228115317438; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9082-6564; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Santos, Anselmo Lúcio Aroucha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8873799404904994; Farias, Vera Nubia Carvalho de; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6223-0942; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3867201737324584Nettle is a plant found in various regions of the world, including Brazil, where it can be found in abundance in the backlands of Alagoas. Some pharmaceutical industries use its extract in the production of drugs, thanks to its rich variety of substances. The objective of this study was to use nettle extract as a potential nutritive agent, capable of stimulating the growth of corn crops. The methodology used was, initially, planting plots of corn, which were sprayed for 75 days; then the aerial part was evaluated by measuring diameter and height, using a caliper. It was found that in the evaluation of plant diameter, in the period of 15 days, the best doses were between 200 and 800 g, and on the other days, the best dose was 200 g. For the height variable, in the 15-day period the best dose was 600 g, but it did not differ statistically from the results presented at 30 days, where the best doses presented were 200 to 600 g. In relation to 45, 60 and 75 days the best dose was 200 g of nettle. Thus, it is concluded that using nettle extract from the 200 g dose onwards caused a reduction, decrease in the diameter and aerial part of the plant.Item Uma análise dos incidentes com tubarões na zona metropolitana do Recife - Pernambuco(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-12-19) Santos, Erik Antonio Ferreira dos; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Oliveira, Patrícia Emanuella Silva de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1853047784104747; Romero, Renato de Mei; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9857771457585862The construction of the Governador Eraldo Gueiros Industrial Port Complex, popularly known as Porto de Suape, in the 1980s, is considered by specialists to be the primary factor resulting from the incidents with sharks in the city of Recife (Pernambuco) and its metropolitan area. This work sought to explain the reasons that led to the associa- tion of these incidents with the construction of the port, discussing the environmental impacts caused by the construction of the port complex, the study also raises statistical data on the incidents and discusses characteristics and behaviors of the species iden- tified in the raids. An educational product was also developed, a profile on the social network Instagram, which has curiosities about the phenomenon and reinforces socio- educational prevention measures.Item Aprendendo sobre o meio ambiente: análise dos livros didáticos do município de Limoeiro de Anadia-Al(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-06-15) Silva, Ana Lucia; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843This study aimed to analyze the textbooks of the 4th grade classes, adopted by municipal schools in the city of Limoeiro de Anadia, in Alagoas. We seek to have a perception of teaching in relation to the transversality of environmental themes. So, trying to understand the teacher's experience and difficulty when using this material, and if this material has a broad and clear language when addressing the environment theme. For the construction of this study, the didactic material was used as a descriptive methodological basis through the analysis of the content of the chosen books. Through the analysis of the books we can perceive the importance of a good and evaluated material because it will accompany the student for a year, where experiences and knowledge will be acquired. Through the analysis, it was possible to perceive the importance of the environmental theme and that, despite bringing important texts and reflections, it is treated in a disjointed way without the interdisciplinary look and the proper connection with the local reality, thus bringing a deficit in the use of the material used.Item Avaliação do comportamento térmico de resíduos orgânicos de feira livre compostado em composteira caseira – IFAL(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-05-17) Lins, Raquel Cavalcante; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567The composting of vegetable waste is considered a low cost alternative when compared to the disposal of organic waste in landfills or in inappropriate sites. However, there is a lack of research that can make the composting process feasible, given the great variety of organic waste produced, as well as the awareness of society in separating and correctly disposing of solid waste. In this sense, the present work aimed to evaluate the behavior of temperature between two treatments, containing organic waste (fruits and vegetables) and tanned sawdust, in different concentrations of material rich in carbon (tanned sawdust), until the mesophilic phase of cooling, using two compositions of different organic materials, in two home composting tanks for each composition. The results obtained from the thermal behavior of home composting, indicated similar results, from the beginning to the end of the composting, with temperature ranges that did not exceed 50°C, where the composters 1AGM and 2AGM, remained at temperatures of 27 to 34°C and the composters 3AM and 4AM with similar ranges of 28 to 33°C, which may be associated with the interference of external factors (wind and rain) and the volume of organic material composted.Item Comitê da bacia da região hidrográfica do rio Piauí: o processo de educação ambiental e envolvimento da comunidade(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-12-20) Araujo, Maria Elza Messias Soares de; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Santos, Gilson Oliveira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9220817099269462; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567This article presents a discussion regarding the impacts of environmental education actions developed by the Piauí River Basin Committee, Alagoas, and its impact on the local community. The work was prepared based on a bibliographical survey in books, scientific articles, dissertations and theses, as well as through documentary analysis in Minutes of Committee meetings and reports obtained during field visits to schools, departments and institutions, in order to identify which were the actions in environmental education and how they occurred. Based on these procedures, we sought to reflect on the process of environmental education and community involvement with the aim of contributing to a theoretical- methodological discussion of the environmental education actions developed by the Committee, incorporating the public sphere as a stage for actions of environmental education. The perception obtained is that the Piauí River Committee treats environmental education actions based on problematizing the relationship between the local community and water resources. However, despite having formed a partnership with some institutions, it has difficulties in carrying out its environmental education actions due to the lack of support from municipal managers and other component institutions in the basin, which interferes with the protection of water resources and distances the community from the spaces of discussion and decision.Item Construção de indicadores de saúde e saneamento ambiental em Marechal Deodoro - Al(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2021-05-11) Porto, Amanda Gomes de Souza; Fiori, Ana Paula Santos de Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2598153346850335; Santos, Gilson Oliveira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9220817099269462; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843The quality of life of a population is directly related to the urban infrastructure in which it is inserted, and the Municipality of Marechal Deodoro found it vulnerable in this matter. In this sense, the referred study aims to evaluate the public health of the urban area of the municipality of Marechal Deodoro in Alagoas, from the point of view of the conditions of environmental sanitation and the composition of a system with lesser number of variables to discriminate areas with different health-environmental levels, relating these indicators to the occurrence of health problems in these areas. For this purpose, research questionnaires will be applied that will focus on assessing the real situation of the municipality, they will be analyzed through specific statistical procedures for the theme and will result in the construction of updated indicators, which can serve as a basis for measuring the scenario, relating the correlation between health and sanitation in order to contribute to the orientation of social actors in relation to the critical areas of the aforementioned indicators.Item Construção e caracterização de um dessalinizador solar usando tecnologias socioambientais em Marechal Deodoro-AL(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-04-27) Santos, Thiago dos; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Almeida, Glaudistone Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2765594406920221Water scarcity is a problem that has been worrying the world, considering that water is a necessary good for the survival of all life on earth. Brazil is a privileged country in terms of the abundance of this good, but its poor distribution ended up creating a problem for part of the Northeast region of the country, which suffers from long droughts and irregular rainfall during the year, and which is supplied with water from cisterns or water from artesian wells. Bearing in mind that these waters do not have ideal potability for consumption due to their high salinity level, there was a need to find viable solutions for residents of the northeastern semi-arid region. In this way, a solar desalination plant was built using materials from construction waste, and improvements were made to improve its efficiency. The desalinator presented excellent results regarding water treatment, reducing by more than 99% of the total solids present in the water, and with efficiency of up to 53.33% of desalinated water, being 32.81% more efficient than the results obtained in a study used as a reference.Item Criação de uma horta sustentável e discussão sobre alimentação saudável numa escola particular e numa pública(2023-12-21) Melo, Adrielly Da Silva; Matsumoto, Ederson Monteiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2871962608536791; Santos, Giancarlo de Brito Lyra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5357920374495977; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843NenhumItem Os desafios da finalização do TCC: percepções dos estudantes do curso de gestão ambiental(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-06-20) Viana, Carmen Júlia Silva; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Machado, Fabiano Duarte; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2063267245239005; Castilho, Fábio Francisco de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1280124410024317Reading, study and research are aimed at improving the intellectual magnificence of individuals. The labor market, in turn, has increasingly demanded the need for learning from individuals to act. The Completion of Course Work - TCC becomes important in this scenario, since it provides the acquisition of knowledge. In this sense, the objective of the present work is to carry out an analysis of the students' perceptions about their formative process, especially the process of production and elaboration of the TCC, making a brief historical search on the Higher Technological Course in Environmental Management. For that, we used a qualitative methodology through the application of an electronic questionnaire. We chose to know the students' views about this important process. In this way, we identified possible anxieties that graduates feel during the process of preparing the TCC and what many said is that they use the TCC as a space to make criticisms related to some aspects, both regarding the theme and relevant social events. Its importance is evident in the production of healthy food, job creation, environmental preservation, and promotion of local development. It is an essential sector in ensuring food security, sustainability, and quality of life for rural communities in Brazil. This work aims to identify the challenges and opportunities of family farming in Marechal Deodoro, Alagoas, through the Merenda da Terra Program. A qualitative case study approach was used, based on literature review of existing studies and direct observation in the study area. The collected data were analyzed and categorized according to the research objectives. The results and discussions showed that the Merenda da Terra Program is an important initiative to strengthen family farming in the region. The diversified production of crops, including tubers, legumes, and fruits, contributes to income and improvement in the farmers' quality of life. However, challenges such as lack of soil resources, inadequate water supply, and the need for incentives for youth participation in family farming were identified. As proposals, it is suggested to organize farmers into associations or cooperatives to strengthen representation and bargaining power, encourage youth participation in family farming, implement an efficient pumping system, and conduct soil analysis as a tool to improve crop productivity. It is concluded that family farming plays a fundamental role in food production and sustainable development, and that through public policies such as the Merenda da Terra Program, it is possible to strengthen this sector and overcome the challenges faced, ensuring food security, environmental preservation, and socioeconomic development.Item Diagnóstico do saneamento básico de Boca da Mata – AL: um estudo com base nos indicadores do Instituto Trata Brasil(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-12-15) Santos, Rosenilda Cavalcante dos; Silva Filho, Jorge Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9595994751143801; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Oliveira, Patrícia Emanuella Silva de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1853047784104747Basic sanitation is an important public health strategy to provide adequate living conditions for the population, with a direct impact on health indicators. This is a descriptive study has used data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the National Information System on Sanitation and the ranking of basic sanitation based on the indicators of Trata Brasil Institute. In addition, we searched for articles and monographs in the literature that addressed the theme. It was found that 67% of the inhabitants live in urban areas and 32.2% in rural areas. The water supply comes mainly from the general network, however, it is observed that in the rural area it uses wells, where 67.7% of the population has access to drinking water supply services and 32.3% do not have access to these services. With respect to solid waste, 64.5% of the population is served with collection at their homes, while 35.4% of the population does not have waste collection. The city has collection by cleaning service and bucket. Concernig to domestic sewage, 87.1% is collected but does not have any type of treatment. The study also showed that basic sanitation services in areas considered rural are precarious, the population does not have a general network, the water supply is through wells and rudimentary cesspools are used for sewage collection. As such, it becomes essential to search alternatives for more equal access to basic sanitation in urban and rural areas of that city.
