Recognizing the importance of informal spaces is essential, as they serve as a source of knowledge that transmits wisdom that can contribute to the process of deconstructing the unjust standards gradually imposed by the hegemonic class. Described through their experiences, modes of production, and survival, the quilombola communities, from the perspective of work as an educational principle, are configured as teaching and learning tools from the perspective of Professional and Technological Education, as they contribute to the promotion of a comprehensive education. This is a qualitative research project with a focus on collaborative action research. Using semi-structured questionnaires administered to faculty and students, and semi-structured interviews with members of these communities, we identified the perceptions of the research participants regarding the topic of structural racism and its relevance and applicability in the Technical Course in Administration Integrated with High School at the Viçosa-AL Campus. We then conducted a technical visit to the communities where our research was conducted to assess the relevance of these informal spaces for formal learning in Vocational and Technological Education. We then developed the Educational Product in the form of a Guide to Anti-Racist Educational Actions for EPT, built upon the technical visit to the aforementioned Quilombola Communities and on themes that address the struggle, strength, and resistance of the Black Movement over time. This study aims to foster the promotion of anti-racist practices that effectively deconstruct racist and discriminatory patterns.Item Mecanismos de promoção da permanência e da conclusão com êxito na educação de jovens e adultos: proposta de catálogo de ações no Instituto Federal de Alagoas(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-09-12) Peixoto, Silvana Kelly Coimbra; Brasileiro, Regina Maria de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4146119273576569; Gomes, Jarbas Maurício; Barros, Abdizia Maria Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8978186925444582The study set out to investigate the mechanisms for promoting the permanence and successful completion of students in Youth and Adult Education integrated with Professional and Technological Education (EJA/EPT) at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL) as a pedagogical process of knowledge, belonging and the development of students' autonomy, in order to encourage their participation in teaching, research and extension activities. The objective is to understand how the mechanisms for promoting permanence and successful completion affect the learning processes of students in Youth and Adult Education Integrated with Professional and Technological Education at the Federal Institute of Alagoas. The specific objectives are to identify, by listening to the various voices involved in the research, whether there is any form of denial/exclusion of EJA/EPT students in the student assistance policy and in teaching, research and extension actions; to analyze the knowledge that EJA/EPT students have about the mechanisms for promoting permanence and successful completion; verify the existence of teaching practices that promote the interest and participation of EJA/EPT students in teaching, research and extension actions; produce a catalog to disseminate actions to promote the permanence and successful completion of EJA-EPT students and, apply and evaluate the educational product — catalog. This study presents a catalog that provides EJA/EPT students with an educational product that, in addition to arousing interest, presents the paths and brings them closer to teaching, research and extension actions. This is a qualitative investigation, using participatory action research as a methodological perspective, whose data collection instruments were a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze the data collected. Students and teachers from the EJA/EPT and Administrative Technician took part in the research, with the Marechal Deodoro Campus school space as the locus in the Integrated High School Technical Course for Youth and Adult Education in Accommodation and the Integrated High School Technical Course for Youth and Adult Education in Cookery. The conclusion is that the objectives of the research have been achieved, in that the mechanisms for promoting permanence and success are essential for the learning of EJA/EPT students to take place, and the Educational Product as a means of publicizing and arousing interest in participating in actions for permanence and success.
