Item A química dos óleos essenciais(2025) Barreto, Neyse Natália dos Santos; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Gois, Georgia Nayane Silva Belo; Silva, Marina de MagalhãesThis article aims to analyze essential oils, volatile compounds rich in terpenes and phenols, highlighting their multiple applications and quality challenges. Considering their relevance in aromatherapy, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, agriculture, and food products, the study demonstrates how environmental factors, plant parts used, and extraction methods directly influence their properties. For this, a literature review was carried out using books, undergraduate theses, dissertations, doctoral theses, and articles available on academic platforms such as Science Direct, Scopus, Scielo, and Google Scholar. The analysis highlights the importance of quality control through techniques like GC-MS to ensure purity and safety, particularly in therapeutic applications. Although Brazil faces challenges in standardizing this market, the growing demand for natural products is driving the adoption of stricter regulations. It is concluded that the full use of the sustainable potential of essential oils depends on the integration between scientific research, technological development, and appropriate regulatory frameworks, aiming for safe and effective applications in various sectors.Item Impactos causados pela queima na cultura da cana-de-açúcar no estado de Alagoas: uma revisão integrativa da literatura(2024) Santos, Jadson Farias; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Góis , Geórgia Nayane Silva Belo; Silva, Marina de MagalhãesThe adaptability and transformation capacity of the sugarcane industry in Brazil has kept the culture as an important economic sector, being responsible for millions of jobs as well as foreign exchange for the country, whether in the export of traditional sugar or the modern ethanol fuel. During the various phases of development of this industry, some environmental impacts have been triggered. In this context, this study aimed to conduct an integrative literature review on the impacts caused by the burning of sugarcane in the state of Alagoas. Searches were carried out in electronic databases such as: (1) Science Direct; (2) Lilacs; (3) Scopus; (4) Scielo; (5) Google Scholar; (6) OATD (Open Access Theses and Dissertations); (7) BDTD (Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations); (8) La Referencia Red de Repositorios de Acceso Abierto a la Ciencia; (9) NDLTD (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations); and (10) BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine). After searching the literature on the impacts caused by burning in sugarcane culture in the state of Alagoas, 600 published works were identified. Among the 600 works, only 11 were eligible to compose the integrative review study. In general, most of the eligible studies were developed by the Federal University of Alagoas. Additionally, it was observed that the expansion of monoculture has led to rural exodus, land concentration, and biodiversity loss. Despite technological advances adopted by sugar mills to mitigate these impacts, such as the reuse of waste and the adoption of more sustainable agricultural practices, the challenges of ensuring environmental and social sustainability remain. This study reinforces the importance of a more integrated and sustainable production model that considers not only economic benefits but also environmental and social effects, promoting a better quality of life for local communities and contributing to the preservation of natural resources.Item Relatório de estágio supervisionado em farmácia de manipulação Farmafórmula(2026) Diógenes Neto, José Olavo; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Chaves, Taciana Carneiro; Silva, Marina de Magalhães; Góes, Geórgia Nayane Silva BeloThis work presents the report of a supervised internship at the Compounding Pharmacy FarmaFórmula, located in the municipality of Penedo, Alagoas, with the purpose of expanding technical knowledge in pharmaceutical compounding and promoting magistral practice. During the internship, practical activities were observed and accompanied, including the receipt and verification of raw materials, formulation calculations, weighing, homogenization, encapsulation, filling, labeling, and quality control, following the standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the current legislation of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) and the Federal and Regional Pharmacy Councils. The importance of standardization, use of personal protective equipment, and proper environmental hygiene was observed, as well as the physicochemical and documentary analysis of compounded products. The results demonstrate that practice in the solids laboratory and quality control allows for the application of theoretical concepts, the improvement of technical skills, and an understanding of the relevance of personalized pharmaceutical compounding for adherence to individualized treatment and patient safety. It is concluded that the internship provided integration between theoretical knowledge and laboratory practice, highlighting the need for methodological rigor, discipline, and compliance with regulatory standards in pharmaceutical compounding.
