The work aimed to identify the species that make up the local vegetation and to describe the phytophysiognomies. To carry out this study, geographic data and samples from the region deposited in the herbarium collections were analyzed, in addition to collections made in remnants of the study area. The research resulted in obtaining data on the vegetation and phytogeography of the region, including species habits, distribution, phytophysiognomonic types, conservation level, and the record of endemic and endangered species. For the floristic listing, 397 species were recorded, distributed in 104 botanical families. The most representative families were Fabaceae (41 species), Rubiaceae (21 species), Myrtaceae and Cyperaceae (20 species each). Among the cataloged species, 43 are new records for the state of Alagoas, while 13 species are categorized as threatened. Several taxa are endemic to the Northeast region. All the data identified demonstrate the importance of conserving the study area for the protection of these plants.
