Item Uma proposta de ensino da segunda lei da termodinâmica fundamentada na teoria da aprendizagem significativa(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2023-11-07) Araújo, Natânayli da Silva; Freitas, Felipe Alexandre Medeiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4576981969294029; Freitas, Felipe Alexandre Medeiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4576981969294029; Carmo, Ricardo Batista do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7934343562431842; Santos, Robenilson ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6920583106467092Thermodynamics is an area of study in physics that has made major historical contributions to both science and economic and social development throughout human history. Particularly in the period of the Industrial evolution, an important topic in physics came to the fore: the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This is because it is directly associated with the changes and improvement of the thermal machines of the time. This work developed a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit (PSU) for teaching the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Based on David Ausubel's Theory of Significant Learning, the proposal includes activities based on problem questions, together with the history and philosophy of science. This unit includes lectures, experimental activities, as well as the introduction of some topics from the History and Philosophy of Science associated with the development of the statements of the Laws of Thermodynamics. Some works on the teaching of thermodynamics based on the Theory of Significant Learning are also presented, supporting the applicability of the theory. At the end of the paper, it is hoped that this approach will make an effective contribution to the teaching and learning process, as well as serving as a starting point for the development of other UEPS, both for the teaching of thermodynamics and other physics subjects.
