Item Alimentando o Futuro: um estudo de percepção sobre Alimentação Sustentável entre dois cursos superiores luso-brasileiros - Licenciatura em Educação Ambiental (IPB) e Tecnologia em Gestão Ambiental (IFAL-MD)(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2021-12-10) Costa, Juliana; Rodrigues, Maria José Afonso Magalhães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9851612740399796; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Cezar, Vicente Rodolfo Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2400958571631287; Sgarbi, Victor Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8780753465531965The food production and consumption systems practiced in the world go against sustainable development, being a great fomenter of climate change, bringing serious consequences for the near future. Food security continues to be threatened by the severe climatic effects that are already affecting the planet Earth, and that will have consequences on the capacity to feed a population estimated at 9 billion people by 2050. It is urgent to think about food from the point of view of sustainability in order to have fairer planting systems that lead to environmental and social improvement. Sustainable food seeks to interconnect all the chains present in the food system and, in a more holistic way, to build a production and consumption system more environmentally friendly, as well as an economy that leads to social gain. Training professionals who understand the meaning of sustainable food and who can act in order to mitigate socio-environmental problems is consistent with what is proposed in the 2030 Agenda, thus contributing to a fairer society. Environmental management emerges as a way to understand the interrelationships present between man and environment and, through environmental education, tries to raise awareness of attitudes and behaviors that lead to social equity. This qualitative-quantitative descriptive study aimed to understand the level of perception of two sample groups of the environmental area regarding the theme of sustainable food. Students from the Environmental Education graduation program (N=23) of Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal and from the Technology in Environmental Management (N034), of Federal Institute of Alagoas, Brazil participated of the study. The methods used were bibliographic research and survey questionnaire with multi-item perception scale (Likert type). Through 30 statements it was possible to know the perceptions of the sample groups. The questions were focused on specific aspects of sustainable food such as meat consumption, use of fossil fuels, seasonality and monoculture planting, use of plastic, composting, consumption of water resources, concepts of socially fair economy and social equity, among others. Although, in general, the results show that students are enlightened on the subject, it is still necessary, in order to achieve environmental literacy, an increase in the level of understanding of the environmental interrelationships related to food. In this sense, it is reinforced the need to invest in the education of these future professionals so that they become awareness agents for the environmental impacts resulting from food, because in this way, they will be able to develop knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about the interrelationships between food and environment. Hence, it is proposed at the end of the work a continuation of the research in order to promote the creation of literature on the subject and thus contribute to the dissemination of the concept of sustainable food.Item Aprendendo sobre o meio ambiente: análise dos livros didáticos do município de Limoeiro de Anadia-Al(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-06-15) Silva, Ana Lucia; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843This study aimed to analyze the textbooks of the 4th grade classes, adopted by municipal schools in the city of Limoeiro de Anadia, in Alagoas. We seek to have a perception of teaching in relation to the transversality of environmental themes. So, trying to understand the teacher's experience and difficulty when using this material, and if this material has a broad and clear language when addressing the environment theme. For the construction of this study, the didactic material was used as a descriptive methodological basis through the analysis of the content of the chosen books. Through the analysis of the books we can perceive the importance of a good and evaluated material because it will accompany the student for a year, where experiences and knowledge will be acquired. Through the analysis, it was possible to perceive the importance of the environmental theme and that, despite bringing important texts and reflections, it is treated in a disjointed way without the interdisciplinary look and the proper connection with the local reality, thus bringing a deficit in the use of the material used.Item Avaliação do comportamento térmico de resíduos orgânicos de feira livre compostado em composteira caseira – IFAL(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-05-17) Lins, Raquel Cavalcante; Silva, Dário Luiz Nicácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1506941694331741; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567The composting of vegetable waste is considered a low cost alternative when compared to the disposal of organic waste in landfills or in inappropriate sites. However, there is a lack of research that can make the composting process feasible, given the great variety of organic waste produced, as well as the awareness of society in separating and correctly disposing of solid waste. In this sense, the present work aimed to evaluate the behavior of temperature between two treatments, containing organic waste (fruits and vegetables) and tanned sawdust, in different concentrations of material rich in carbon (tanned sawdust), until the mesophilic phase of cooling, using two compositions of different organic materials, in two home composting tanks for each composition. The results obtained from the thermal behavior of home composting, indicated similar results, from the beginning to the end of the composting, with temperature ranges that did not exceed 50°C, where the composters 1AGM and 2AGM, remained at temperatures of 27 to 34°C and the composters 3AM and 4AM with similar ranges of 28 to 33°C, which may be associated with the interference of external factors (wind and rain) and the volume of organic material composted.Item Diagnóstico do saneamento básico de Boca da Mata – AL: um estudo com base nos indicadores do Instituto Trata Brasil(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-12-15) Santos, Rosenilda Cavalcante dos; Silva Filho, Jorge Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9595994751143801; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Oliveira, Patrícia Emanuella Silva de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1853047784104747Basic sanitation is an important public health strategy to provide adequate living conditions for the population, with a direct impact on health indicators. Therefore, it was analyzed the municipal plan for basic sanitation in the city of Boca da Mata/AL, including its elaboration and execution and, from that, propose some measures to improving that scenario. This is a descriptive study has used data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the National Information System on Sanitation and the ranking of basic sanitation based on the indicators of Trata Brasil Institute. In addition, we searched for articles and monographs in the literature that addressed the theme. It was found that 67% of the inhabitants live in urban areas and 32.2% in rural areas. The water supply comes mainly from the general network, however, it is observed that in the rural area it uses wells, where 67.7% of the population has access to drinking water supply services and 32.3% do not have access to these services. With respect to solid waste, 64.5% of the population is served with collection at their homes, while 35.4% of the population does not have waste collection. The city has collection by cleaning service and bucket. Concernig to domestic sewage, 87.1% is collected but does not have any type of treatment. The study also showed that basic sanitation services in areas considered rural are precarious, the population does not have a general network, the water supply is through wells and rudimentary cesspools are used for sewage collection. As such, it becomes essential to search alternatives for more equal access to basic sanitation in urban and rural areas of that city.Item Diagnóstico dos resíduos sólidos gerados no IFAL - MD, visando a conformidade da instituição com a política nacional de resíduos sólidos(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-02-24) Costa, Cláudio Pereira da; Fiori, Ana Paula Santos de Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2598153346850335; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1620-9717; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0910-3607; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128This study aimed to diagnose solid waste at the IFAL Campus in Marechal Deodoro, where increased and diversified waste generation necessitates effective management to mitigate environmental and public health risks. A quantitative-qualitative methodology was employed in two stages between September and December 2024. The first stage involved in-loco analysis to determine the quantity, composition, and characteristics of waste at IFAL-MD. The second stage included questionnaires for the campus community. Waste characterization and gravimetry were performed across campus sectors to assess current management practices. Results indicated significant generation of rejects (43.7%), organics (25.8%), and recyclables (30.5%). Despite efficient maintenance, the Campus lacks a formal Solid Waste Management Plan, and recycling is inconsistent. The study highlights opportunities for improved waste separation and disposal. Consequently, the institution must adopt measures to enhance solid waste management practices for greater Sustainability.Item Implantação do programa 5S na Escola Municipal Professora Eleuza Galvão Rodas com ênfase na educação ambiental : relato de experiência(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-07-15) Lima, Thaina Alys Nascimento; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843; Lucena, Rodrigo de Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6095168056343998Institutions, in recent years, have undergone transformations that force them to change practices within their internal sectors, seeking economy, quality and innovation, in order to improve the performance of their actions. The 5S program emerged in Japan in the 1950s, with the need to combat the structural disorganization of the productive sector in the post-War period. Due to the success achieved by this practice, other countries began to use it in different situations. The 5S is a set of five concepts that are capable of modifying the work environment, the way of conducting routine activities and attitudes, they are: Seiri (use), Seiton (ordering), Seiso (cleaning), Seiketsu (health and well-being) and Shitsuke (discipline). The objective of implementing this program in a municipal school is to reduce and conserve the existing installation and to act as a facilitator in the student, teacher and staff relationship, enabling mutual respect, both for people and for the environment. The project followed a quantitative and qualitative methodology associated with action research. For the development of the work, questionnaires were applied to analyze the degree of knowledge on the subject by the school community, conversation circles, lectures, workshops and activities to raise awareness and organize specific spaces. The research sample consisted of 50 students from the 5th year of elementary school and x employees of the school's administrative body. The work was carried out in the period from April to November 2019, with a workload of 4 hours per week. With the end of the project, the need to expand these actions in the school space became perceptible, considering that there was a good reception in relation to the theme and with the project the seed was launched, but it needs to be continued and the direction of the unit is committed to continue these actions, as some improvements were impossible to carry out due to bureaucratic and financial issues. Currently, this work is in the final stage of review for presentation.Item O uso de atividades lúdicas no processo de ensino e aprendizagem em educação ambiental : um estudo de caso na escola municipal Joaquim Gama Filho(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-12-16) Santos, Aline Williany Alves dos; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1039898435623128; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843The present work will address environmental issues with a focus on Environmental Education (EA), through the use of recreational activities in the early grades. Environmental Education must be understood as an educational process that must start at the base, and the participation and involvement of all are of paramount importance, family, school and community. Understanding that one should not only train professionals for the labor market, but citizens who are concerned with the environment where they live, so that they become transforming agents of the reality in which they are inserted. EE, according to Law No. 9,795, should be present at all levels of the teaching process, as environmental education, in addition to contributing to the formation of human beings, enables the student, through concrete actions, to transform their reality. Its general objective is to analyze the extension, developed through the use of recreational activities in the teaching and learning process of environmental education, with children from the 2nd to the 5th year of elementary school. And the specific objectives: survey of the environmental profile; Work on the use of recreational activities in the teaching and learning process of environmental education; Evaluate the relationship between playfulness and environmental design. The methodology was divided into three stages: bibliographic survey; conception of the students' environmental vision through recreational activities; and evaluation of results obtained through presentations on environmental issues. The project contributed not only to the awareness of children, but also to teachers, directors and other employees of the Joaquim Gama Filho School. The use of diversified methodologies which was employed in this study ensured a better interaction on the part of the students, stimulating interest and greater understanding of the themes that were addressed throughout the study. With the ludic practices, we noticed a better absorption of the students about the environmental context, in addition to reaffirming their ideas about the proposed environmental subjects.Item Viveiro de plantas nativas: laboratório de vivências práticas em educação ambiental(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-06-15) Omena, Ana Paula da Silva Feijó; Dias, Sheyla Karine Barbosa de Macêdo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2777322313238567; Santos, Maria do Socorro Ferreira dos; Gama, José Aparecido da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7413041757828843The Caatinga biome predominates in much of the northeast region of Brazil, comprising about 48% of the state of Alagoas, extending across several municipalities, including the municipality of São José da Tapera. The Caatinga has been suffering suppression processes that have put the diversity of forest and animal species in this biome at risk. Therefore, it is necessary to create alternatives to minimize the effects of human and natural actions. The native plant nursery can be assumed as an alternative to minimize such effects, in addition to serving as a laboratory for studies in the area. From this idea, the present work aimed to build a nursery of native plants in a participatory way, involving the residents of the Caboclo village community, located in the municipality of São José da Tapera, located in the backlands of the State of Alagoas. The methodology used in this study used a qualitative and quantitative approach, associated with an action research, as it is a participatory investigation. The study was subdivided into 6 stages, namely the presentation of the project, the beginning of conversation circles on fauna and flora themes, visiting existing nurseries, obtaining seeds, setting up the nursery and planting seedlings. The study sample included 54 students who attend the only public school in the village and were selected with the support of the school coordination. At the end of the stages, it became evident that the nurseries can be used as environmental education strategies, as they help to preserve the entire web and life cycles of a biome.
