Symmetry is presented not only as a geometric concept but also as a didactic tool that promotes understanding of spatial relationships, proportions, and transformations in the Cartesian plane. The study covers the main types of symmetry — axial, rotational, translational, and origin symmetry — and illustrates each with graphical representations, geometric figures, and real-world contexts, such as art, nature, and architectural patterns. It also discusses practical classroom activities involving dance, body movement, and group dialogue as strategies to explore symmetry in an interactive and meaningful way. Additionally, the paper analyzes ENEM exam questions that address symmetry, emphasizing its relevance in visual literacy and problem solving. National indicators point to gaps in the training of Brazilian citizens regarding their financial literacy, whilst international bodies point out that the economic health of a country is associated with the level of financial education of its population. However, the presence of this topic in the National Common Curricular Base as a suggested content is slim. The present work seeks to link contents already covered in the Mathematics curriculum of the final years of elementary school to themes of financial education. For this purpose, a bibliographic research was carried out on financial education and the production of educational products. Finally, there was the construction of a teaching guide containing four formative tracks that deal with themes already present in the mathematics curriculum using financial education as a scenario for the activities.
