Item Letramento científico e física moderna: a relatividade como uma porta de entrada para um pensamento crítico da realidade(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2023-07-14) Barreto Filho, Moabio Elizandro Rodrigues; Carmo, Ricardo Batista do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7934343562431842; Carmo, Ricardo Batista do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7934343562431842; Freitas, Felipe Alexandre Medeiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4576981969294029; Silva, Jailson Costa da; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5078-3603; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4481661071361187In our research, we have undertaken an investigation into the domains of scientific literacy and the teaching of modern physics within the context of secondary education, with a particular emphasis on the theories of relativity. In terms of methodology, this research is essentially qualitative and constitutes a study case. The study sought to scrutinize the prior knowledge of students, propose and implement a pedagogical intervention on the realm of modern physics, specifically focusing on relativity, and evaluate the consequential impact of this intervention on the cognitive framework of the targeted student cohort. This work aims to provide, albeit in a modest and concise manner, the expansive vistas of scientific literacy through the aforementioned area. The research has yielded momentous findings, thereby attaining the stated research objectives. Significantly noteworthy insights have been elucidated, many of which were anticipated in light of the predetermined aims. However, it is notable that certain ideas and perspectives have manifested themselves prominently, diverging from the anticipated preconceptions, yet proving to be highly propitious. Finally, we aim that discussions, such as the one addressed here, can be continuously implemented with the aim of approaching an increasingly prosperous and triumphant educational scenario.Item Uma proposta de ensino da segunda lei da termodinâmica fundamentada na teoria da aprendizagem significativa(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2023-11-07) Araújo, Natânayli da Silva; Freitas, Felipe Alexandre Medeiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4576981969294029; Freitas, Felipe Alexandre Medeiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4576981969294029; Carmo, Ricardo Batista do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7934343562431842; Santos, Robenilson ferreira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6920583106467092Thermodynamics is an area of study in physics that has made major historical contributions to both science and economic and social development throughout human history. Particularly in the period of the Industrial evolution, an important topic in physics came to the fore: the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This is because it is directly associated with the changes and improvement of the thermal machines of the time. This work developed a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit (PSU) for teaching the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Based on David Ausubel's Theory of Significant Learning, the proposal includes activities based on problem questions, together with the history and philosophy of science. This unit includes lectures, experimental activities, as well as the introduction of some topics from the History and Philosophy of Science associated with the development of the statements of the Laws of Thermodynamics. Some works on the teaching of thermodynamics based on the Theory of Significant Learning are also presented, supporting the applicability of the theory. At the end of the paper, it is hoped that this approach will make an effective contribution to the teaching and learning process, as well as serving as a starting point for the development of other UEPS, both for the teaching of thermodynamics and other physics subjects.Item Vídeo-análise no ensino de física: um estudo comparativo entre o software Tracker e sensores de kits experimentais(2025-12-01) Costa, Alyson Silva da; Costa, Alex Emanuel Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2231272728491909; Passos, Frederico Salgueiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6590059682506348; Silva Junior, Manoel Pereira da; Oliveira, Marcos Henrique Abreu de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7597524437699021This study investigates the use of the open-source software Tracker as a supporting tool for physics education, particularly in contexts where the absence/deficiency of laboratories hinders the execution of experimental activities. The main objective is to evaluate the robustness and pedagogical applicability of results obtained through video analysis, comparing them with those acquired using electronic sensors from commercial experimental kits, focusing on the determination of the gravitational acceleration. The experiments analyzed include free fall and the simple pendulum, with data collected both from the kits’ sensors and from video recordings processed in Tracker. Statistical analysis showed that the results obtained with the software are in good agreement with the theoretical values and, in some cases, present smaller deviations than those from sensor-based experiments, highlighting the pedagogical potential and reliability of the tool for experimental Physics teaching.
