Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese practice, seeks to achieve energetic balance through the strategic protection of the elements in the environment, using the baguá methodology and the analysis of the flow of vital energy, or “chi”. The principles of Feng Shui involve using the cores, shapes and the five elements of nature to unblock stagnant energy and promote the circulation of positive energy. This study intends to apply these design techniques to a preliminary project for a living room in the Barro Vermelho neighborhood in Marechal Deodoro, Alagoas. Research has evaluated how Feng Shui can improve the environment, providing an energetic balance that contributes to the quality of life of users. Furthermore, the work aims to stimulate reflection and debate on the application of Feng Shui in Interior Design, given the lack of scientific studies that address this topic.Item O design de interiores e sua contribuição social: estudo preliminar de uma cozinha em uma habitação de interesse social(2024-12-18) Souza, Raissa Costa de; Rodrigues, Valéria; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0807338841761398; Silva, Roseane Santos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1454466436862393; Leão, Tharcila Maria Soares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7071084155266198This work aims to develop a preliminary design for the kitchen and service area of a Social Housing, seeking to meet the needs and desires of the user, ensuring comfort and functionality within the space restrictions. The research was developed from a practical experience in the conception and assembly of the exhibition Ateliê Aberto à Comunidad 2016–2017: Terra Fértil, held at the Sesc Centro Art Gallery in Maceió, Alagoas. The study emerged from the need to understand the interior designer's role in creating exhibition spaces, contextualized in a local scenario where few professionals work in this specific area. The primary objective was to produce an experience report about the exhibition conception and assembly process, highlighting the project and executive stages of environmental design. Methodologically, the study adopted Design Thinking stages, adapting them to the specific context. The approach involved bibliographic immersion, idea generation, prototyping, testing, and implementation, constituting a systematic investigation and project development process. The research results revealed the complexity of the expographic creation process, highlighting significant challenges such as budgetary limitations, restrictive deadlines, and bureaucratic obstacles. One of the critical points identified was a hindrance in developing detailed technical drawings, which potentially risked the precise execution of the expographic project. The work underscores the interior designer not only as a technical knowledge holder but as a fundamental mediator between space, objects, and audience. The research emphasized the importance of a critical and reflective approach in developing exhibition environments. The academic contributions of the study manifested in multiple dimensions. In the teaching realm, it offered a methodological model susceptible to incorporation into Interior Design courses. As research, it systematized knowledge about exhibition production, documenting details of a creative conception process. In the extension dimension, the work established a direct dialogue with society, involving Sesc and the Ateliê Aberto project audience. The study evidences that an exhibition is far more than an event, configuring itself as a cultural product grounded in theory, where Interior Design establishes itself as a fundamental element in constructing spatial narratives and experiences.Item Memórias do brincar: projeto de mobiliário para espaço efêmero itinerante(2024-04-04) Rocha, Luana Lins da; Monteiro, Juliana Aguiar Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9154494073982180; Leão, Tharcila Maria Soares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7071084155266198; Rapôso, Áurea Luiza Quixabeira Rosa e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7600867517446003The proposed project focuses on creating furniture for a mobile space intended for the children's audience in public places in Alagoas, aiming to stimulate reading and promote playful and cultural activities. Given this premise, it is proposed to use a geodesic structure along with furniture in this interactive and creative environment, capable of promoting inclusion and cognitive development in children. Considering difficult-to-reach locations and the development of children, the central objective is to address and explore the multifunctionality applied to children's furniture in the mobile environment, with the main functions being to explore activities related to art, culture, and reading. In addition to encouraging access to cognitive activities, the initiative seeks to foster a sense of belonging and promote local culture through activities, making learning more accessible, especially for families with limited financial resources. The key pieces highlighted in this project include the "Connecting Earth Colors Sofa," the "Connecting Tree," the "Knowledge Den Library," the "Freedom Activity Table," and the "Sensory Theater." We employed theoretical and practical research methods with a qualitative approach. We explored Montessori's ideas to understand playful and functional furniture for different age groups and their impact on child development. Additionally, we applied Norman's principles in the design process to address specific project challenges. As a result, we have developed multifunctional furniture that incorporates elements from the enchanting world of children. These elements not only meet the practical and ergonomic needs of children but also aim to promote comprehensive development by providing a welcoming environment conducive to various educational activities. The design of the created furniture reflects a holistic commitment to child development. The ergonomic and inclusive approach ensures not only physical comfort but also creates an environment conducive to social, emotional, and cognitive growth, serving as inspiration for future initiatives aiming for a more dynamic and inclusive educational scenario.Item Design emocional e sua contribuição em espaços de interior(2021-10-03) Pedrosa, Maria Quitéria da Silva; Silveira, Nádia Mara da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9879649520086467; Lins, Patrícia Soares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6339794487587062; Rapôso, Áurea Luiza Quixabeira Rosa e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7600867517446003; Andrade, Luciana deThis research aims to discuss the contribution of Emotional Design in interior spaces. The choice of this theme is relevant due to the growth of retail in Brazil and the need for a sharp perspective on the final point of sale, achieved through interior proposals in harmony with the brand and regional culture. In an exploratory nature, this research involved a literature review on topics such as retail types, concept stores, commercial interiors, visual identity, regional culture, and consumption. The final product consisted of a preliminary study and interior draft, where the studied principles were applied to leverage display strategies and emotional engagement with the customer. Thus, the emphasis was on maintaining the brand image within the framework of an experiential retail proposal.
