Item Impacto ambiental da produção de cervejas artesanais e a necessidade de tratamento de efluentes: uma abordagem sustentável na indústria cervejeira(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2024-03-19) Macário, Larissa Rodrigues; Bianchetti, Thiago Angelin Lemos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0569269372564048; Almeida, Felipe Santos; Silva, Mauro Gomes daIn Brazil, the beer market is being shaped by the growing preference for craft beers, which is driving the growth of microbreweries. However, this increase in production is accompanied by a rise in the generation of effluents containing a significant amount of organic matter. To meet legal requirements and avoid potential environmental damage, proper treatment of these effluents becomes essential. Due to the presence of a large organic load in these water bodies, the adoption of treatment measures to mitigate the adverse effects of emissions becomes necessary, allowing for the reuse of these waters within the industrial context. The present study focuses on researching the effluent treatment system in the craft beer industry and its applicability as a development practice. Research Object: effluent treatment system in the craft beer industry and its applicability in sustainable development. Through a literature review, the characteristics of the wastewater generated in this sector were investigated. The results highlighted the indispensability of an effluent treatment system in all strategies to achieve more satisfactory results, as well as to comply with emission standards stipulated by legislation and sustainable practice in the industry.
