Item Adubação verde no cultivo da cana-de-açúcar(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-04-11) Jesus, César Marcelino de; Leitão, Ana Laura Oliveira de Sá; Leitão, Ana Laura Oliveira de Sá; Santos, Taciana do Nascimento; Santos, WellinghtonGreen manure has aroused the interest of farmers, as it has been standing out as a strategy for sustainable agriculture, since it allows the recovery and maintenance of soil productivity and reduces the cost of using large amounts of chemical fertilizers. This practice consists of improving the physical, chemical and/or biological characteristics of the soil, it functions by replenishing nutrients, such as nitrogen, which is the main nutritive element and is supplied from legumes, in addition to supplying organic matter to the area being applied. Thus, this study aims to present, in the form of a literature review, the benefits of applying green manure in sugarcane cultivation. For this, the context about the importance of sugarcane for its industry was made, as well the definition of green manure and its effects on soil characteristics, beside highlighting some of the most used species for nutrition and atmospheric nitrogen fixation. Therefore, green manure is a vegetative practice that makes it possible to reduce the amount of chemical fertilizers.Item Os desafios econômicos e ambientais para os produtores de cana-de-açúcar nos últimos 5 anos: um estudo de caso com dois produtores do município de Penedo/Alagoas(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-04-05) Santos, Aleksander Fellype Ferreira Santos; Rocha, Martha Suzana Rodrigues dos Santos; Rocha, Martha Suzana Rodrigues dos Santos; Leitão, Ana Laura Oliveira de Sá; França, Márcio Abreu deThe production of sugarcane has been an agricultural activity that faces several challenges, from those related to environmental issues, including economic ones, among others. This article aims to discuss and analyze the challenges related to environmental and economic aspects faced by sugarcane producers in recent times. The study is contextualized by a methodology that includes theoretical and field research. In the first one, we sought to identify theoretical aspects that deal with the panorama of this agriculture, referring to some points that deserve to be highlighted. In the field research, which is a case study, the vision oftwo sugarcane producers regarding the topic under discussion was evidenced. The methodology, already mentioned as theoretical and field, included the recording and analysis of ideas from theorists who deal with this topic and a questionnaire carried out with the two collaborators, through a Google form. The results obtained with this study were satisfactory, as many aspects of the context related to the panorama of sugarcane in Brazil were perceived, as well as the main challenges highlighted by the two producers regarding economic and environmental issues. The acquired knowledge was important to understand the subject in a deeper way.Item Soro do leite, descarte e reaproveitamento(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2023-04-04) Almeida, Raquel Pacheco De; Silva, Tâmara Lúcia dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7697002445483904; Carvalho, Cenira Monteiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3019950915819022; Amorim, Tassyano Feitosa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1032941824178772Whey is an exclusion considered very worrying due to its significant level of organic matter, mainly lactose and proteins, which causes an increase in the environmental impact if released into the environment without treatment. Whey has a high amount of organic compounds, which ends up making it a polluting by-product, which when released into the environment without any treatment has a pollution capacity 100 times more than domestic sewage. This work aims to carry out a literature review on whey, disposal and reuse, aiming to identify the best reuse practices in new products. This study is a biblio-graphical review, as well as research for scientific articles were obtained from the following electronic data sources such as Scielo, Lilacs and Google Schol-ar. The following descriptors were adopted for the search: whey, use and en- vironmental impacts. The use of whey in the dairy industry becomes possible due to the application of different technologies and reuse of whey to create new products. However, research on the reuse of serum is still limited, even though serum has long been considered a source of contaminants.Item Utilização de imagens para identificação de alterações no uso e cobertura do solo do município de Murici - Al(2024-09-10) Silva, Edenilson Ferreira da; Santos, Erick Phelipe Ramos dos; Lima, André Suêldo Tavares de; Silva, Ivanildo Claudino da ; Santos, Patrícia da SilvaThe present study uses geoprocessing and remote sensing technologies to identify changes in land use and cover in the reference years (1992, 2002, 2012 and 2022) in Murici, Alagoas. The methodology used involves downloading images referring to land use and land cover maps in Google Earth Engine (GEE), through the MapBiomas tool, in its 8.0 collection, which uses annual mosaics of Landsat images based on predefined periods (collections) with spatial resolution of 30m x 30m for supervised classification of multispectral images. Using the Semi-Automatic Plugin (SCP) add-on to QGIS 3.26, each land use and land cover map was subjected to post-processing using the "Cross Classification" tool, allowing mapping and area calculation of use classes and soil cover, as well as transition data between classes, making it possible to ascertain the balance of gains and losses from one class to another between the decades analyzed. Between 1992 and 2022, a significant reduction in forest and savanna areas was identified, possibly driven by the expansion of agricultural activities. At the same time, urbanization has expressed progressive growth, which results in the reduction of other classes of use and coverage and can drive waterproofing, soil degradation and changes in water bodies. It is imperative, therefore, to adopt public policies that reconcile environmental conservation with local needs.
