This work addresses the theme of Individual micro-entrepreneurship (MEI). Created by LC
128/2008, the aforementioned Law encourages small businesses to leave informality,
simplifying bureaucracy and reducing taxes for small entrepreneurs. Currently, one of the
simplest ways to make a business formal is to have access to the MEI. Entrepreneurship can
be understood as the ability to create a business, product or service in order to meet a society's
demand, turning this idea into a profitable business. This is an action-research that aims to
locate, diagnose and train individual micro-entrepreneurs who have taken professional
training courses in the municipality of Igreja Nova – Alagoas. The project has great economic
and social relevance, as it significantly contributes to improving the living conditions of these
entrepreneurs and the community in which it operates. The literature review will allow
understanding entrepreneurship through publications that address the topic.
