Entre a lente e o espelho: escrevivência e resistência no cinema negro alagoano

This article presents an autoethnographic account of the experience of a Black lesbian woman in the audiovisual field in Alagoas, based on the perspective of escrevivência (Evaristo, 2020). The analysis reveals that access to training and production spaces still occurs in an exceptional manner, conditioned by symbolic, racial, and socioeconomic barriers. The narrative includes participation in a collective filming with Indigenous communities, enrollment in an audiovisual training course, and the production of an authorial short film, experiences mediated by Black solidarity networks and marked by challenges of legitimacy in predominantly white spaces. The account engages with concepts of intersectionality, structural racism, and cultural resistance, showing how audiovisual production functions as a site of symbolic dispute, memory affirmation, and the construction of historically marginalized identities. Finally, the study highlights the need for structural policies that ensure full inclusion and permanence of historically excluded subjects.

This article aims to present a concise analysis of the political and electoral dynamics from the colonial, imperial, and First Republic periods, examining how these developments converged in the Vargas Era, with a specific focus on the municipality of União dos Palmares. The study investigates whether the absence of elections during this period contributed to the dissolution of local oligarchic structures.

The soil instability caused by salt mining by Braskem led to the evacuation of the neighborhoods of Pinheiro, Bebedouro, Mutange, and Bom Parto in Maceió, affecting thousands of families. This study focuses on Pinheiro, the first and most populous neighborhood impacted, addressing the disruption of everyday life and the erasure of individual and collective memories. The objective is to preserve the memory of this place through the narratives of former residents, in response to the risk of oblivion caused by the abrupt depopulation. A case study methodology was adopted, including bibliographic and documentary research, interviews based on Oral History, and empirical observation. The content analysis of the narratives revealed cultural, social, and historical meanings of the neighborhood, contributing to the understanding of collective memory and its importance in local identity.

This article reports on the experience of a pedagogical project developed with students from 6th to 9th grade at Eulina Barbosa de Lima Municipal School, in Jaramataia-AL, focusing on the recovery of traditional games as a strategy for cultural appreciation and the strengthening of local identity. The project stems from the observation that excessive screen time compromises children’s motor, cognitive, and social development, weakening interpersonal bonds and affective memories. In response, the initiative proposed the reintegration of playful practices into the school environment as an educational and cultural alternative. Based on theorists such as Vygotsky, Huizinga, Kishimoto, Milton Santos, and Halbwachs, the article is grounded in the understanding of the “territory of play” as a symbolic space of learning and belonging. Interdisciplinary activities were developed, integrating Geography, Arts, Portuguese Language, and English Language with the cultural experiences of the community. Students conducted interviews with family members, recovered traditional toys, stories, and practices, participated in discussion circles, and produced research and presentations, culminating in the school’s June Festival celebrations. Throughout the project, games such as hopscotch, jump rope, and blind man’s bluff were revisited as educational and affective practices. The work highlights that such games serve as pedagogical tools, fostering active learning, emotional development, and the strengthening of collective memory. In this context, the school acts as an agent of cultural preservation and re-signification in the face of contemporary challenges.
O trabalho feminino como ferramenta de reintegração social de mulheres na vida pós-cárcere: uma abordagem histórica

This study aims to analyze the importance of professional and qualified work as a fundamental tool for the social reintegration of women post-prison, from a feminist gender perspective. Since the emergence of the feminist movement in Brazil in the 1970s, there has been growing interest in formulating public policies focused on gender equality, highlighting its relevance in the historical context of Alagoas society. This research covers the period 2000 to 2020, taking into account data from the National Penitentiary Department (DEPEN), which demonstrates an increase of approximately 444% in the female incarcerated population, representing a historic increase in the state of Alagoas between 2007 and 2014. According to the report entitled "National Survey of Penitentiary Information - INFOPEN Women," the number of women deprived of liberty in the state rose from 62 in 2007 to 337 in 2014, demonstrating that, proportionally, female incarceration has grown more than male incarceration. Thus, the study seeks to understand the situation of women deprived of liberty and their post-incarceration trajectories, highlighting the role of women's labor in promoting social transformation. Furthermore, education is highlighted as a fundamental element in the social reintegration of these women, constituting a determining factor in civic development, the development of the teaching-learning process, and the advancement of society. In this context, education represents the formative foundation for women deprived of liberty in the state of Alagoas, directly contributing to their professional qualifications and expanded opportunities in the job market. To achieve its proposed objectives, this study adopts a descriptive methodological approach based on bibliographic and documentary research. This historiographical analysis highlights the relevance and impact of public policies that combine work and education as fundamental strategies for building better living conditions for women released from the Alagoas prison system.

The Jacintinho neighborhood is known for its high levels of violence and informal economy, as well as a young and adult population facing learning difficulties. This research aims to analyze the educational trajectories of students enrolled in the Youth and Adult Education program (EJA) in this neighborhood, located in the city of Maceió, and to examine the professional training opportunities available to this population. A qualitative approach was employed, using bibliographic research, semi-structured interviews conducted with EJA students, and secondary data analysis on professional training in the region. The results indicate that most students pursue EJA as a means to improve their living conditions but face significant challenges due to the lack of vocational courses and employment opportunities in the area. It is concluded that public policies need to be implemented to expand access to professional training and promote the inclusion of these students in the formal labor market.
Tecendo histórias: trabalho, resistência operária e o partido comunista brasileiro na Fábrica Cármen, em Fernão Velho – Maceió – AL (1950-1966)

This Undergraduate Thesis analyzes the trajectory of Fábrica Cármen and the social relations established around it, articulating bibliographic review with the author’s memories and experiences as a former worker and resident of Fernão Velho, in Maceió, Alagoas. The research adopts a qualitative approach, based on historical, social, and political literature review, complemented by records and memorial narratives, engaging with theorists such as Antonio Gramsci, Eric J. Hobsbawm, and Edward P. Thompson. The time frame covers the period from 1950 to 1966, marked by the significant presence of the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) within the community and by different political configurations at the state and national levels. The study discusses work routines, forms of workers’ organization, and state mechanisms of surveillance and repression directed at labor movements. The analysis demonstrates that communist activity significantly contributed to the politicization of the working class and to the development of collective resistance and class consciousness. It is concluded that Fábrica Cármen was constituted not only as a productive unit, but also as a space of sociability, conflict, and political formation, highlighting the importance of social memory in preserving labor experiences and workers’ struggles in Alagoas.
