The research stems from the observed need to connect the theoretical knowledge studied by students with practical and contemporary applications as a way to increase engagement and promote more meaningful learning. The study is justified by the researcher’s experience at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE), Pesqueira campus, where a possible gap was identified in students’ direct contact with emerging technologies like 3D printing, despite the relevance of these tools to the field of electrotechnics. Additionally, the research addresses the issue of knowledge fragmentation, exploring the concepts of multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, and primarily transdisciplinarity, advocating the latter as an approach capable of integrating different fields of knowledge in the learning process. The central problem of this dissertation lies in how to incorporate Maker Culture transdisciplinarily into the integrated technical electrotechnics course at IFPE, Pesqueira campus. The general objective is to identify ways to implement Maker Culture from this perspective, using emerging technologies. The specific objectives include allowing students to explore creativity and develop soft skills through teamwork, creating 3D-printed objects to assemble a scaled-down micro wind turbine, and finally, developing a didactic sequence that systematizes the process. It is believed that the Maker Culture approach, by stimulating experimentation and the practical application of knowledge, can promote meaningful learning, bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications, and preparing students for the technological challenges of the 21st century. The dissertation also highlights the importance of meaningful learning, based on Ausubel’s theory, as a key element in transforming the educational process. In summary, this research seeks to contribute to the modernization of technical education by proposing an innovative pedagogical approach that values creativity, collaboration, and the practical application of knowledge through the integration of Maker Culture and transdisciplinarity into the electrotechnics course at IFPE Pesqueira. The development of the didactic sequence aims to materialize this proposal, serving as a resource for future implementations and studies in the field.Item A utilização de softwares, sites e suportes de aprendizagem matemático: desbravando os segredos da matemática(2024-07-15) Silva, Josivaldo da; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3143006785845985; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3143006785845985; Barbosa, Isnaldo Isaac; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8346517003296057; Lima, André Suêldo Tavares de; orcid logo https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4687-0645; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6019670165528345The investigation of students' difficulties in mathematics in everyday school life and in learning processes, through social contexts that constitute the school, the community and society. From there, it proposes the construction of an Educational Product entitled: Mathematical Learning Support Program: A didactic approach in Integrated High School, with the intention of supporting the treatment of the issue within the scope of Teaching in the Integrated Technical Computer Course. The research was developed within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT/Ifal). The present study is justified by bringing a theme that can contribute to the learning of Integrated High School students, the development and knowledge of digital platforms, involving websites and software in learning from this perspective. Its objective is to resolve existing difficulties faced by students. To do this, we analyzed how issues related to the subject of mathematics appear in the teaching-learning process and in everyday school life from the perspective of Karl Marx's historical materialism (1993). The present research is of the action research type, with a collaborative bias and of a qualitative-quantitative nature based on the principles of participatory research (TRIPP, 2005; THIOLLENT, 2011). The locus of the research was the Rio Largo Campus, and the research participants were 3 groups of volunteers (students): (1) students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the Integrated Technical IT Course at the Rio Largo Campus, in this case we had the class A, B and C with A: 35 participants, class B: with 30 participants and C with 26 participants, the three groups of students totaled 91 participants; (2) the teachers who teach mathematics in this Integrated Technical Course in IT totaled 3 teachers. The aim is, with the results of the research, to contribute to an omnilateral training (RAMOS, 2008; FRIGOTTO, 2012; MOURA 2013; CIAVATTA, 2014) which, considering the social contexts of origin of the students, and the role of mathematics, in the process of learning, which integrates the dimensions of work, science and culture, managing to reach as many people as possible and thus contributing to this updated training in professional and technological education.Item Análise da percepção da qualidade dos serviços educacionais em uma instituição de ensino pública federal: um modelo para avaliação institucional na educação profissional técnica de nível médio(2024) Ribeiro, Ricardo Luís Alves de Oliveira; Castilho, Fabio Francisco de Almeida; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; Lima, André Suêldo Tavares de; Moura, Elton Oliveira deThis dissertation analyzes the perception of the quality of educational services in a federal public educational institution, proposing a model for institutional evaluation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The work was developed within the scope of the Graduate Program in Vocational and Technological Education (ProfEPT) at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL), Benedito Bentes Campus. The research adopted a quantitative approach, using questionnaires based on the HEDPERF and SINAES models to collect data from students of technical courses. The model was tested and applied at IFAL - Satuba Campus in the medium-level integrated technical courses in Agroindustry and Agriculture. The results indicate that the quality dimensions most valued by students are Reputation, Access, Academic Aspects, and Academic and Professional Training. Statistical analysis confirmed the adequacy and validity of the proposed model, which can be used as an educational product for the continuous improvement of services offered by Federal Institutes. As a second educational product, a guide for using the model was developed. The originality of the work lies in the adaptation of quality evaluation models to the specific context of vocational and technological education, providing a robust tool for educational management.Item Ergonomia no ambiente escolar na EPT(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-01-20) Silva, José Cláudio dos Santos; Pontes, Edel Alexandre SilvaItem Guia Prático Pedagógico: a utilização de softwares, sites e suporte de aprendizagem matemático, desbravando os segredos da matemática(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-02-03) Silva, Josivaldo da; Pontes, Edel Alexandre SilvaItem Modelo de avaliação da qualidade dos serviços educacionais e guia de utilização(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-02-15) Ribeiro, Luís Alves de Oliveira; Pontes, Edel Alexandre SilvaItem O lugar da mulher na educação profissional e tecnológica: discriminação de gênero no estágio e no trabalho em Alagoas(2022) Cerqueira, Paulete Constantino; Silva, Edel Alexandre; Melo, Beatriz Medeiros de; Melo, Beatriz Medeiros de; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; Bueno, Juliana Dourado; Silva, Géssika Cecília Carvalho da; Cavalcanti, Ricardo Jorge de SousaThis research emerged from the researcher‟s personal experience, as a woman and a psychologist, and from the vision of the place of women in education and work as fundamental to society. Its realization took place in the school environment of the Instituto Federal de Alagoas (Ifal) - Campus São Miguel dos Campos and its main objective was to understand the experience of women as students in a Technical Course in a traditionally male area and to identify gender discrimination in their entry into the world of work. Its research subjects are students of the Workplace Safety Technical (WST) Course and servers. The investigative study is characterized as action research, of a qualitative-quantitative nature and, as research techniques, questionnaires and conversation circles were used. The first stage – the diagnostic phase – consisted of the application of semi-structured questionnaires, carried out in a virtual way. The second stage took place with the realization of virtual conversation circles, with students and servers as participants. With the material from the conversation circles, the third stage was carried out, the execution of the educational product, a podcast named The Place of Women in Professional and Technological Education, in the Internship and in the Work. It was sent to the servers by e-mail, along with an evaluation questionnaire, and had also been presented for a WST Course students‟ class. The podcast was considered relevant to discuss gender discrimination in the school community and will be shown on campuses, inside and/or outside the classroom, in order to stimulate a discussion about gender issues in Ifal and in society. With this disclosure, the research also seeks to contribute to the debate at Ifal, focusing on gender issues and work as an educational principle. The conclusion points to the occurrence of gender discrimination and the need to expand research involving this theme and Professional and Technological Education.Item Programa suporte de aprendizagem matemático: uma abordagem didática, aplicada no ensino médio integrado(2024-09-17) Silva, Josivaldo da; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3143006785845985; Pontes, Edel Alexandre Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3143006785845985; Lima, André Suêldo Tavares de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6019670165528345; Barbosa, Isnaldo Isaac; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2266-4364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3111088449226485ABSTRACT The investigation of students' difficulties in mathematics in everyday school life and in learning processes, through social contexts that constitute the school, the community and society. The aim of this study was to verify the benefits of labor gymnastics in the quality of life at work of employees of the Federal Institute of Alagoas - Campus of Coruripe, with regard to the reduction of pain and body discomfort. The level of physical activity and sedentary behavior of employees was identified, as well as feeling of discomfort/body pain before and after labor gymnastics workshops. Thus, the formative and bodily needs of participants, related to the theme addressed, were better met by labor gymnastics workshops, which had their stages documented using photographic record and note, the basis for the elaboration of an educational product capable of guiding future applications of workshops. This study is of quali-quantitative nature and its development took place through action research, in which participants were active agents of decisions made. The sample consisted of 38 participants selected in a simple casual way, based on confidence level of 90% and margin of error of 6%. Data were collected through questionnaires virtually applied: international physical activity questionnaire – short version (Appendix A) and the discomfort/body pain questionnaire (Appendix B). Data were treated through descriptive statistical analysis and tabulated using Excel spreadsheet. It was found that only 50% practiced weekly at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity and only 18% practiced weekly at least 75 minutes, showing that the vast majority of the sample reached levels below those recommended by WHO for adults. With regard to sedentary behavior, 50% spend 8 hours or more sitting or lying down during the week and at the end of the week, 55% spend 8 hours or more sitting or lying down. In addition, at the initial diagnosis, 75% indicated discomfort/pain in 5 or more body regions (in different degrees). In the comparative analysis of discomfort/body pain data from the application and reapplication of the questionnaire, 43.5% had reduction, 43.5% had increase and for the remaining 13%, there was maintenance of levels of discomfort/body pain. The actions of the present dissertation provided, in addition to formative experiences inherent to labor gymnastics and related ones, moments of education in health promotion and actions to encourage a more physically active lifestyle. It is hoped that this production will help to make the issue of quality of life at work even more academically evident, which is something extremely relevant to achieving improvements in the work environments of educational institutions in our country.
