    Linha do tempo interativa como ferramenta pedagógica para a conservação do Mutum-de-Alagoas (Pauxi mitu Linnaeus, 1766)

    Brazil is a country rich in biodiversity. However, many anthropogenic actions threaten the maintenance of this natural wealth, compromising the balance ecological. In addition, the lack of knowledge regarding the species and their ecological functions further intensifies the concern inherent to the loss of species. Democratizing knowledge about species that have extinction risk is fundamental and urgent to prevent them from being eliminated. Thus, the present work aimed to provide a pedagogical tool, characterized as an interactive timeline, with the potential to enable the future user to know about the species Pauxi mitu, an endemic bird of Alagoas and extinct in nature, popularly known as Alagoas Curassow. The methodology was carried out through several stages. In the first stage of the research, data on Pauxi mitu were collected, such as the first mention of the species, first woodcut, general characteristics, taxonomic classification, habitat, main threats, conservation category of the species, ex situ conservation strategies and reintroduction. In the second stage of the research, the Genially tool was used, which made it possible to assemble the entire structure of the timeline, and the horizontal and historical model was chosen, where its progress is presented from left to right. In a complementary way, as an auxiliary tool for adapting images, the Canva application was used. As a result, an educational product was obtained, defined as an interactive and intuitive timeline, arranged in chronological order, presenting the dates and their respective events and illustrations, and with potential for a future application, which may contribute to a citizen posture in favor of biodiversity conservation.

    Mutum de Alagoas e seu potencial turístico

    The disorderly growth of large cities, coupled with the lack of birth control, associated with technological and economic development, has indiscriminately increased the consumption of natural resources, such factors have awakened the need to address environmental issues more intensely, since, the lack of environmental awareness and the exploitation of natural resources, compromise the existence of species, especially those that are threatened with extinction. The main objective of this research is to describe the tourist potential of the Pedro Nardelli Environmental Education Center in preserving the endemic bird Pauxi mitu, popularly known as Mutum-de-Alagoas, in addition to specifically describing the tourist potential of the bird Pauxi mitu and the reasons that make the Pedro Nardelli Environmental Education Center a conservation strategy. The research was carried out between the months of June and October 2023, the works used were searched and selected in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Google Scholar, Periódico Capes, Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. In total, 58 works were found that were related to the research proposals, 44 of which were used to integrate the research. In view of the research carried out, it is concluded that the Pedro Nardelli Environmental Education Center has a high tourist potential, especially due to the work dedicated to the preservation and reintroduction of the Alagoas Mutum to its natural habitat, guaranteeing the preservation of the species and of other species in the region, promoting environmental awareness, regarding the preservation of the Atlantic Forest, the main ecosystem of the Mutum-de-Alagoas, in addition to increasing tourism in the region.
