This region is home for 24.06% of the Brazilian population living in coastal municipalities, with several attractions promoting tourism and housing activities. However, its disorderly occupation has caused environmental degradation, leading to the native vegetation removal, such as restinga vegetation, and the construction advance. The degradation consequences contributes directly to the coastal erosion phenomenon, characterized by the continuous sediments loss and the coastline retreat. To contain these processes, restraint methods are continuously adopted, but they are built without adequate prior study and monitoring proposals. Given the above, this Final Course Project (FCP) was based on a comparative analysis of the coastal erosion containment methods adopted in Pajuçara, Ponta Verde and Jatiúca urban beaches of Maceió, to verify their effectiveness and propose improvements. The methodology involved a literature systematic review and field surveys on beaches, with direct structures observation and coastline morphological assessment. As a result, it was realized that there is a need to implement coastal restraint methods that not only protect urban infrastructure, but also take into account the natural dynamics of beaches and their ecosystems.Item Componentes da suscetibilidade ambiental da unidade de gestão recursos hídricos Mundaú - Paraíba diante das mudanças de cobertura e uso da terra e dos eventos pluviométricos extremos(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-09-24) Matias, Dyogo Wlisses Ribeiro; Rafael, Larissa Monteiro; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9955-0763; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6069182413192543; Wanderley, Lucas Suassuna de Albuquerque; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0018963581369746; Marques, Sheyla Karolina Justino; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7554-2275; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3917387578549073; Santos, Giancarlo de Brito Lyra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5357920374495977; Moreira, Ayobami Badiru; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1765-9763; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5194882125930027This dissertation aimed to investigate the susceptibility of the Mundaú River Basin (BHRM) to the occurrence of extreme climatic events based on analyses of land cover and land use change as an important factor that intensifies the susceptibility of the Mundaú/Paraíba Water Resources Management Unit (UGRHMP), which encompasses 52 municipalities between the states of Pernambuco (PE) and Alagoas (AL), through the analysis of land cover and land use (LCU) changes and extreme climatic events. The Mundaú River Basin has already faced several problems, such as droughts and floods, which have significantly impacted the societies that live in and depend on it. Considering the relevance of the basin, this study sought to investigate its socio-environmental susceptibility, analyzing the transformations in land cover and land use and understanding how these changes, together with extreme climatic events, intensified the socio-environmental impacts. The analyses were carried out in an integrated manner, aiming to broaden the understanding of the influence of extreme climatic phenomena, land use and cover, and the risks of susceptibility present in the region. Data from institutions such as the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET), the National Water Agency (ANA), the Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency (APAC), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and the Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources (SEMARH) were used. Transformations in land use and cover were identified through geoprocessing and remote sensing techniques, based on satellite images and thematic maps. Extreme climatic events were characterized through historical rainfall series and specific indices calculated with the help of the RClimdex software. The mapping of socioenvironmental susceptibility was carried out by combining physical, social, and climatic parameters, allowing the identification of areas more susceptible to floods, droughts, and environmental degradation. Based on the analyses carried out, it was possible to identify the main impacts associated with changes in land use and hydrometeorological events, as well as to evaluate the mitigation or adaptation measures adopted, where they exist, by local public authorities. At the end of the research, a more in-depth view of the environmental dynamics of the Mundaú River Basin was obtained, as well as technical information that can guide public policies aimed at the sustainable management of natural resources. As a technicaleducational product, an illustrated and interactive didactic material was developed for high school students, covering content on cartography, land use, extreme weather events, and environmental sustainability. It is expected that this material will contribute to the critical thinking of young people and to the strengthening of environmental education in the territories that make up the basin.Item Jogo guardião da bacia(INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS - Ifal, 2025-09-24) Matias, Dyogo Wlisses Ribeiro; Wanderley, Lucas Suassuna de Albuquerque; Rafael, Larissa MonteiroNenhum
