Item Educação ambiental para a pesca: construção de uma cartilha informativa(2023) Vieira, Jussara Regina; Silva, Alline Gomes Lamenha e; Silva, Alline Gomes Lamenha; Doria, Bruna Maria Ferrari Machado; Pereira, Jhennipher da SilvaEnvironmental education involves training people committed to preserving the environment. In the context of artisanal fishing, environmental education contributes to the formation of critical and independent individuals. Artisanal fishing is a type of exploitation of fishing resources, it is done in a simple way with family labor and small boats. This type of exploitation, when carried out in a disorderly manner, can generate an environmental problem, such as the loss of biodiversity, which emphasizes the importance of environmental education in fishing. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a booklet with easy-to-understand language on the importance of environmental education in fishing, focusing on conservation and preservation of the environment, for riverside dwellers and fishermen in the municipality of Penedo/AL. To this end, the work followed the steps: characterization of the study area and target audience; bibliographical research and definition of the topics covered in the booklet; preparation of the booklet. The target audience for the booklet are fishermen and riverside dwellers. It is noteworthy that these fishermen are not always found in riverside communities, and may be in quilombola communities, in conservation units, associated or not with fishing colonies. The informative booklet has the potential to improve subjects' understanding and awareness of certain content, and addressed the following topics: the importance of the riparian forest; the overexploitation of fishing resources and the irregular disposal of fishing equipment.Item Preservação dos recursos hídricos e culturais no Vale dos Pássaros, Serras Gerais, Tocantins(2025) Ferreira, Silvana de Sousa; Oliveira, Alexandre Ricardo de; Oliveira, Alexandre Ricardo de; Doria, Bruna Maria Ferrari Machado; Pinheiro, PabloEnvironmental Education plays a crucial role in promoting awareness and fostering the development of environmentally responsible citizens and involves the training of individuals committed to environmental preservation. Environmental and cultural education constitutes a field of study aimed at promoting sustainability and valuing natural and cultural heritage, thereby fostering a critical understanding of the impacts of human activities on the environment. In this context, ecotourism as a strategy for the preservation of water resources in the Vale dos Pássaros region, located in the Serras Gerais area of Tocantins can be analyzed from a scientific perspective, emphasizing its relevance for the conservation of both hydric and cultural resources. This approach entails the implementation of sustainable practices that respect and preserve the environment while enhancing appreciation of local culture. The research suggests that ecotourism may serve as an effective tool for water resource conservation, since raising visitor awareness regarding the importance of water can lead to increased protection and sustainable use of these resources. Furthermore, environmental education activities can be developed to engage local communities and tourists in the preservation of springs and water sources within the region. Continuous research and collaborative efforts among scholars, residents, and tourists are essential to ensure the success of ecotourism initiatives in the area.
