2024-01-192024-01-192024-01-192023-10-21https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/350The use of a lecture as a pedagogical resource in professional and technological education is capable of providing teaching-learning that enables the construction and expansion of knowledge. The general objective of this work is to analyze the importance and potential of a lecture to be used as an educational resource. This is an exploratory qualitative study of the research-action type, in which a pedagogical intervention was carried out through a health education lecture on the campus of the Federal Institute of Alagoas in the city of Coruripe. The lecture focused on raising awareness about the consequences of the use of toxic substances, was given to 14 students of the 3rd year of the technical course in mechanics. The results show that 13 students stated that the presentation was able to bring relevant knowledge. The transmitted information was also able to provide 12 students with affirming that the knowledge obtained will contribute to their not intending to use toxic substances.
