2025-08-072025-08-072023-12-27https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/1113This research seeks to critically analyze the approach to linguistic diversity in Portuguese language textbooks, with the aim of identifying how variations are represented and whether there is a presence of linguistic stereotypes or prejudices. Using a qualitative and inductive approach, they were categorized as occurrences of linguistic variation in the analyzed materials, seeking to understand how they are treated and how they are passed on to students during Portuguese language classes. The results highlight the importance of an in-depth analysis of documents for the teacher's work in the classroom, highlighting the need for teaching materials that are prepared with care, bringing content that shows students the importance of variation in everyday life, proposing a reflection on the most Various subjects about regions, as well as teaching materials, may be more suitable for teaching linguistic variety.
