This study focuses on Pinheiro, the first and most populous neighborhood impacted, addressing the disruption of everyday life and the erasure of individual and collective memories. The objective is to preserve the memory of this place through the narratives of former residents, in response to the risk of oblivion caused by the abrupt depopulation. A case study methodology was adopted, including bibliographic and documentary research, interviews based on Oral History, and empirical observation. The content analysis of the narratives revealed cultural, social, and historical meanings of the neighborhood, contributing to the understanding of collective memory and its importance in local identity.ptHistória de AlagoasMemória coletivaDesocupação urbanaIdentidade localBairro do Pinheiro - Narrativa dos ex-moradoresCollective memoryUrban evacuationLocal identityPinheiro neighborhood - Former residents’ narrativesMemórias e lugares: o bairro do Pinheiro pelos seus ex-moradoresTrabalho de Conclusão de CursoCIENCIAS HUMANAS::HISTORIA
