And at the same time identify its limits and challenges in the teaching and learning process of Biology. The history of EJA was briefly discussed, highlighting the conceptions of teaching-learning in EJA, from a traditional perspective of liberating education. As well as the perspectives for teaching and learning of Biological Sciences in EJA. In addition, the problem of the work is based on the following question: What are the main difficulties encountered bystudents in the teaching-learning process of Biological Sciences at Escola Estadual Tavares Bastos? The research involved a literature and field review based on articlespublished on the internet that deal with the aforementioned topic.
