Environmental education is one of the existing tools for raising awareness and training the population about environmental problems. This work sought to use active methodologies in natural science classes in an interdisciplinary way, on environmental awareness and preservation of water resources in an elementary school in the final years of Taquarana/AL. The methodologies used were field classes, science fairs and practical classes. The field class took place with 7 9th grade classes, in the village where the dam is located, where water is collected to supply the urban area of Taquarana. Practical classes took place during the month of March in reference to World Water Day, in all 23 classes between 6th and 8th years, with the themes “Hydrological cycle and the importance of water for life”. The science fair was an interdisciplinary project, which addressed the theme of renewable energy with a focus on energy produced by hydroelectric plants. The methodologies proposed in this work allowed experiences on environmental issues working directly with the reality close to the student, leading them to rethink their stance towards the environment and awakening the desire to change their attitude with critical awareness and sustainable.pteducação ambientalmetodologias ativasrecursos hídricosMetodologias ativas aplicadas às aulas de ciências da natureza para conscientização sobre a importância de preservação dos recursos hídricosTrabalho de Conclusão de CursoCIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO
