2024-09-042024-09-042024-09-042023-09-14https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/691The teaching of environmental education is characterized by directing the environmental training of students, in this context, its importance for environmental awareness in the face of environmental problems that are present in our daily life is highlighted. The enhancement of environmental education strategies is of great importance for raising environmental awareness, and one of them is the practice of producing handmade soap using residual oils. The procedures carried out in this study were a bibliographical review, using three national scientific articles in the area of environmental education and oil recycling. The articles were selected with a time frame of five years from 2019 to 2023. With the results of the review, it was found that the practice of environmental education through oily waste recycling workshops is of great importance for environmental awareness and training of citizens more aware and able to act more actively in environmental conservation.
