Currently, in addition to the presence of this activity in Maceió and its metropolitan region, it also occurs on the South and North coasts of the state, establishing itself through the implementation of a hotel chain, charming style inns and summer condominiums. The municipality of Porto de Pedras, located in the microregion of the North Coast of the state of Alagoas, presents alternative tourism as a recent economic activity, which, despite the strong discourse of being sustainable through the advertising of the “Ecological Route of Miracles”, generates socio-environmental impacts. Thus, with this work, we seek to critically discuss the contradictions between propaganda and ecological practice in the municipality of Porto de Pedras in relation to tourism and the local socio-environmental problems resulting from local touristification. Through fieldwork and bibliographical research, information was collected regarding the emergence and development of socio-environmental conflicts in the municipality. The data shows that real estate speculation mediated by tourism is responsible for territorial changes and in the lifestyle of the local population, where several environmental crimes occur with the legitimization of the state through the passivity of environmental agencies. Faced with all this, the population has been trying, in its own way, to timidly resist the changes, seeking to defend its native territory and making its voice heard to denounce the recurring socio-environmental crimes of a new reality.ptTurismoLitoral NorteAlagoasApropriação da NaturezaDegradação AmbientalTourismNorth CoastAppropriation of NatureEnvironmental DegradationUma rota nada ecológica: turistificação e conflitos socioambientais no município de Porto de Pedras - AL, Nordeste do BrasilTrabalho de Conclusão de CursoCIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::TURISMO
