The discipline of mathematical concepts such as strategies or forms of teaching more heavily dependent on context is the student is embedded. Thus, the work is aimed at people with disabilities in the area of non negative rational data. Like methodological attention, the research is qualitative and was given in a group of 6th year of schooling in Bragança - Portugal, through an International Mobility program, a partnership between Brazil and Portugal. As the main instrument of data analysis, a sequence of six tasks was used, each one with its exploration strategy. In verifying students’ resolutions, we identify the errors and difficulties most often associated with the lack of resources in the definition of a rational number or lack of a methodological teaching resource.
