2024-08-262024-08-262024-08-262022-03-29https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/632Understanding Literature as an artistic manifestation, possessing a socially and culturally important role, this work aims to reflect on the strong impact caused by racism through the literary book O mulato by Aluísio Azevedo in society. In an effort to supplant pedagogical practices that contribute to a better development of reading in the classroom and to a critical and transformative linguistic education, the qualitative bibliographic research involves a work considered a landmark of the literary movement of Naturalism. Theoretical studies were based, mainly on: Azevedo (1990); Goffredo (2016); Precious (2011); Rocha (2016).
