In view of this, the practice of Environmental Education actions in the school environment becomes increasingly necessary, as one of its objectives is the propagation of knowledge about the environment, also contributing to the formation of a new socio-environmental awareness. , enabling individuals to take actions that contribute to building a sustainable planet. Thus, the present article aimed to analyze Environmental Education pedagogical practices in Brazilian public schools, through a review of existing literature. To this end, a literature review was carried out on the topic in question, based on works that reported Environmental Education strategies in public education. Searches were carried out in the Capes Periodicals and Google Scholar database, from May to August 2023, in which works published between the years 2019 and 2023 were searched. Through these searches it was possible to identify some methodological strategies that are worked on in public education in Brazil. With this, it is also concluded that one of the main methodologies used by the authors of the respective articles consists of developing and applying projects in school institutions, both teaching and extension, that address the theme of Environmental Education.
