2025-04-302025-04-302024-06-17https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/930This work addresses issues related to sociolinguistics and Libras, making a historical connection and the challenges faced in the acceptance and inclusion of Brazilian sign language, mainly in the educational context. For that, some perspectives related to language, challenges, inclusion and interaction between deaf and hearing people will be addressed in this research, in addition to social issues that are relevant to this debate. Through bibliographic and qualitative research, analyzing articles, books, websites and other texts, the authors being Bakthin (2003), Foucault (1998), Freire (1996), Bagno (2002), Skliar (1999), among others, which address issues relevant to the development of this work.
