This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, conducted with 79 professors from a public university in Alagoas. Data collection was performed through a form containing (1) Sociodemographic data; (2) Smartphone Dependency Test; (3) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Questionnaire. The analysis was made through BioEstat. Most of the interviewees were female (75.9%) and were ≥50 years old (35.4%). There was an association between sleep pattern and dependence on cell phone use. The factors associated with sleep quality and smartphone dependence deserve attention, considering that they are directly or indirectly related to health problems.Acesso AbertoSonoDocentesSmartphoneInternetSleepTeachingAssociação entre o uso de smartphones e a qualidade do padrão do sono de docentes universitáriosTrabalho de Conclusão de CursoCIENCIAS HUMANAS
