While ICTs have brought benefits, such as flexibility in learning and access to educational resources, it has also exposed significant challenges, such as lack of access to technology and quality connectivity. This paper presents a risk-oriented analysis of the performance of information and communication technologies in the context of remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study is a qualitative research of exploratory nature, where information was collected from a literature search and the application of the risk management methodology. The results obtained indicate that it was possible to verify the eligible vulnerabilities and their causes, as well as the risks in the teaching-learning process and how the ICTs could contribute to mitigate these risks.
