Título.https://repositorio.ifal.edu.br/handle/123456789/3092This report presents upcycling, the creative transformation of discarded materials into products of greater aesthetic, functional, or economic value, and demonstrates both its theoretical foundations and practical application as a tool for critical Environmental Education. Based on an extension activity carried out at the open-air market of Marechal Deodoro, Alagoas, the intervention consisted of producing ecological bags (ecobags) using reused animal-feed sacks, aiming to encourage conscious consumption and reduce plastic waste at the market. The methodology included a participatory diagnosis, the production and distribution of the ecobags, and the creation and dissemination of a video tutorial on YouTube. The results revealed strong community receptivity, interest in learning the technique, and potential for income generation, as well as significant engagement with the video.
