Design assumes the role of an important component between the user and the artifact, so it is attributed the competence to capture the quality of objects and make all their representativeness perceptible to the consumer. In this way, the combination of design and handicraft opens up space to propagate the art of a place through the commercialization of these artifacts. This research explores which commercial design approaches and the importance of their performance contribute to the environment being delineated with the consumer's experience with the artifact as a priority. It aimed to contribute to the theme of interior design in the context of elaborating an interior project at the point of sale located in the Mercado de Artesanato de Maceió, a place of public and tourist domain in the city. The methodology, of a qualitative approach, was based on the collection of data in loco and in the development of the project proposal, the interior design methodology was applied, which consists of i) analytical phase and ii) synthetic phase.
