    Espaços otimizados : a interplay entre Design de Interiores e ergonomia em um consultório odontológico

    The purpose of this work is to prepare a preliminary study for a proposal for renovation and improvement in a dental office located at the Harmony Trade Center, in the Jatiúca neighborhood, in Maceió/AL. Considering that dental practice requires technical precision, repetitive movements and prolonged permanence in static postures, it became necessary to develop environments that promote comfort, functionality and well-being to professionals and patients. In this context, the problem of this research is to understand how Interior Design combined with Ergonomics can contribute to the creation of a more efficient, comfortable and adequate dental office to the needs of clinical practice. To this end, the methodology used was to carry out bibliographic research on ergonomics, spatial organization, lighting, colors, materials and coatings applied to dental environments, in addition to the analysis of technical standards and current legislation. The principles of Biophilic Design and their impacts on human wellbeing were also studied, considering their contribution to the humanization of health spaces. With this, at the preliminary study level, the stages of briefing, definition of the customer profile, program of needs, zoning, flowchart, ergonomic analysis, concept development, semantic panel, layout studies, mood board and specification of materials were contemplated. From these steps, a design solution based on the concept of "Functional Balance" was proposed, integrating ergonomics, spatial organization, environmental comfort and biophilic design. As a result, a dental office was developed that favors the efficiency of workflows, reduces the physical effort of the professional, provides comfort to users and meets the regulatory requirements applicable to health environments.
