Science teaching has evolved over the years, but it still faces challenges. Many students have difficulty as similating the content. To make this learning process easier, playful and experimental teaching strategies should be used to promote more interactive and didactic teach ing. This work carried out a bibliographic analysis on the teaching of science and its importance in elementary education. For this purpose, a search was carried out on the Google Scholar platform for scientific articles on the topic addressed. 30 scientific works were collected with a period of eight years (2015 to 2023). After the refinement carried out, eight articles were selected. The results obtained in the bibliographic re view carried out showed that the use of teaching resources such as practical experi ments and recreational activities increases students' understanding, facilitates the as similation of concepts and allows students to actively participate in classes and de velop more investigative reasoning. The conclusion is that the adoption of playful and experimental methodologies in science teaching in the early years of elementary school improves student performance and contributes to more learning that is mean ingful.
