    Extração de óleos essenciais: uma análise da trajetória no Brasil

    This article investigates the historical trajectory and technological advancements in the extraction of essential oils, focusing on the Brazilian context. Through a thorough review of specialized literature, traditional and innovative extraction methods are addressed, including steam distillation, organic solvent extraction, cold pressing, and supercritical fluid extraction. Emphasis is placed on the relevance of these methods in preserving the therapeutic and aromatic properties of essential oils, as well as their impact on the cosmetic, food, and health industries. This study offers a comprehensive understanding of the extraction processes, providing a solid foundation for the comprehension and application of these essential compounds in contemporary society.
