The objective of this paper was to prepare a preliminary study of a dining room of the bistro O Bem da Terra based on Slow Food principles. The Slow Food movement proposes a new gastronomy and defends conscious food linked to environmental and social issues, aiming at the pleasure of eating with the motto “good, clean and fair”. The focus is on valuing diversity. Thus, the problem to be clarified in this research was: how can the principles, concepts and motto of the movement be transferred to an environment, contributing to the customer experience using Interior Design? It was necessary to know the history of the movement through Carlo Petrini’s work, the precursor of this network, and also to analyze the fundamentals of Interior Design applied in a bistro. In the accomplishment of this work these methods were used: qualitative research, applied research, bibliographical and documentary research, and the exploratory research by collecting data through a semi-structured interview and a framework of reference. The project methodology, developed as a preliminary study, is composed by analysis and data collection through a briefing based on the client profile, target audience, space proposal, needs program and concept. Finally, the preliminary study was developed, with zoning, flowchart, creative process, layout analysis, color palette, materials, furniture and the perspective of the 3D project.

This capstone project explores the relationship between Interior Design, exhibition, and expography, investigating the conception and assembly process of exhibitions with a focus on the interior designer's role as a fundamental agent in creating exhibition environments. The research was developed from a practical experience in the conception and assembly of the exhibition Ateliê Aberto à Comunidad 2016–2017: Terra Fértil, held at the Sesc Centro Art Gallery in Maceió, Alagoas. The study emerged from the need to understand the interior designer's role in creating exhibition spaces, contextualized in a local scenario where few professionals work in this specific area. The primary objective was to produce an experience report about the exhibition conception and assembly process, highlighting the project and executive stages of environmental design. Methodologically, the study adopted Design Thinking stages, adapting them to the specific context. The approach involved bibliographic immersion, idea generation, prototyping, testing, and implementation, constituting a systematic investigation and project development process. The research results revealed the complexity of the expographic creation process, highlighting significant challenges such as budgetary limitations, restrictive deadlines, and bureaucratic obstacles. One of the critical points identified was a hindrance in developing detailed technical drawings, which potentially risked the precise execution of the expographic project. The work underscores the interior designer not only as a technical knowledge holder but as a fundamental mediator between space, objects, and audience. The research emphasized the importance of a critical and reflective approach in developing exhibition environments. The academic contributions of the study manifested in multiple dimensions. In the teaching realm, it offered a methodological model susceptible to incorporation into Interior Design courses. As research, it systematized knowledge about exhibition production, documenting details of a creative conception process. In the extension dimension, the work established a direct dialogue with society, involving Sesc and the Ateliê Aberto project audience. The study evidences that an exhibition is far more than an event, configuring itself as a cultural product grounded in theory, where Interior Design establishes itself as a fundamental element in constructing spatial narratives and experiences.

Memórias do brincar: projeto de mobiliário para espaço efêmero itinerante
(2024-04-04) Rocha, Luana Lins da; Monteiro, Juliana Aguiar Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9154494073982180; Leão, Tharcila Maria Soares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7071084155266198; Rapôso, Áurea Luiza Quixabeira Rosa e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7600867517446003
The proposed project focuses on creating furniture for a mobile space intended for the children's audience in public places in Alagoas, aiming to stimulate reading and promote playful and cultural activities. Given this premise, it is proposed to use a geodesic structure along with furniture in this interactive and creative environment, capable of promoting inclusion and cognitive development in children. Considering difficult-to-reach locations and the development of children, the central objective is to address and explore the multifunctionality applied to children's furniture in the mobile environment, with the main functions being to explore activities related to art, culture, and reading. In addition to encouraging access to cognitive activities, the initiative seeks to foster a sense of belonging and promote local culture through activities, making learning more accessible, especially for families with limited financial resources. The key pieces highlighted in this project include the "Connecting Earth Colors Sofa," the "Connecting Tree," the "Knowledge Den Library," the "Freedom Activity Table," and the "Sensory Theater." We employed theoretical and practical research methods with a qualitative approach. We explored Montessori's ideas to understand playful and functional furniture for different age groups and their impact on child development. Additionally, we applied Norman's principles in the design process to address specific project challenges. As a result, we have developed multifunctional furniture that incorporates elements from the enchanting world of children. These elements not only meet the practical and ergonomic needs of children but also aim to promote comprehensive development by providing a welcoming environment conducive to various educational activities. The design of the created furniture reflects a holistic commitment to child development. The ergonomic and inclusive approach ensures not only physical comfort but also creates an environment conducive to social, emotional, and cognitive growth, serving as inspiration for future initiatives aiming for a more dynamic and inclusive educational scenario.

This study aims to develop a proposal for a sustainable and multifunctional furniture piece using waste materials from small and medium-sized woodworking shops in the city of Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil. These workshops often generate cumulative volumes of waste that present environmental challenges. Within this context, the role of the designer is to create solutions that consider cost-effectiveness while meeting consumer needs without depleting natural resources for future generations. Based on collected data and bibliographic research, a notable concern among scholars regarding environmental issues was observed, reinforcing the relevance of this study. The reuse of woodworking waste is highlighted as a viable strategy to reduce unnecessary raw material extraction and environmental impact. A project proposal for a sustainable and multifunctional piece of furniture—a coffee table—was developed to demonstrate the feasibility of introducing quality products into the market by applying ecodesign and sustainable design principles, as well as enhancing product multifunctionality through efficient waste utilization.

(Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia de Alagoas, 2022-01-19) Brito, Igor Tavares de; Lira, Iolita Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1659875045337834; Monteiro, Juliana Aguiar Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9154494073982180; Silva, Roseane Santos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1454466436862393
This study aimed to develop a modular product to act as a product exhibitor at creative product fairs held in ephemeral space. In these events, food services and cultural presentations are usually added as an attractiveness strategy. The project proposal for the modular product resulted from a survey of the products exhibited at the fairs, the project requirements perceived during the field visit and some issues raised by the people who were exhibiting. It is understood, from the knowledge pertaining to the nature of interior design, that this issue can be analyzed from the perspective of ephemeral Design, Commercial Design and Furniture Design. The result presented here is the result of the observation of Ferinha Empoderada, Feirinha Cool and Natal de Folguedos, held in the city of Maceió.
