    The work present edaimsto highlight the importance of contac twith experiences related to the plastic arts during the age that covers children’s formal education, for the development of children, providing the stimulus to creativity and the formation of critical and aesthetic sense. This research has as final objective the elaboration of a preliminary study of an interior Project of na art room for children, located attachment to a church in the Farol district in Maceió - AL. In this space, activities Will be developed using a variety of languages in the Field of visual arts, there for eneed for anadequate environment to expand the sensory and artistic capacity of the child, as well as aiming at better interaction with the environment and development of autonomy and motor self-confidence in the ages 4 to 7 years. The work, based on the principles of design and the artistic experience of the author her self, brings as research methodology the bibliographic survey about the topic and the in loco observation of the existings paceaiming to meet the needs of user sthrough the design methodology used during the interior design course at IFAL, Maceió campus.
